  1. Im going for a stock updated look. shaved bumpers, but keeping the sidemarkers, no flares, lowered, just a clean original look with some updates. And then the motor will be a updated version of what the car came with. So just an original with some modern updates.
  2. What some morons. Jeez, I got chewed out by my dad once for running over a hood somebody had placed behind my car, (dad owns a bodyshop) I backed up and bent the edge, since then Ive always looked to see whats behind me before I backup. Just some stupid morons trying to put the blame on Nissan, face it you killed your own kid, Nissan didnt. Thats my opinion.
  3. Your gonna wanna get the por-15 tiecoat. Because if you want to paint over the por-15, not gonna happen, so spray the por-15, then when the por-15 is still tacky spray on the tiecoat and after that you can do what ever, undercoat, paint, etc. And just a reminder, DON'T use por-15 on clean metal. It does not bond well and is a pain if you sand through it. Hope that helps, John
  4. Yeah I found the misprint too. Not a bad car, nice and clean. Out of any magazine, SCC does the most writeups on Zs.
  5. What I wanna know is what is that little green car that the guy is standing next to. Looks like a mini z of some sorts.
  6. That was pretty badass, its amazing how they can all walk away, most of them.
  7. Man whos car is that blue zg, that thing is NICE.
  8. Thats pretty badass, looks like he can put on a pretty good smoke show.
  9. Id talk him down on price, my motor with 60k miles looked like new when I pulled the valve cover, oil pan etc. Id either talk him down or pass, to me it looks like that motor has 150k+ miles on it.
  10. Arch your car is beautiful, looks very good.
  11. Man those fill up the wheel wells really nice, looks good.
  12. How come only people from wisconsin replied to this post?
  13. Is it ok to remove the pcv valve on the block of a l28et and plug it if I leave the one on the valve cover opene? Or should I leave the hole in the block open?
  14. Looking good Mat! Youll be running in no time
  15. Yeah I saw it, It was nice to see Z's on tv, even thought they were in the slowest form possible. Im sure they could have pulled off a l28et swap in those 16 hours and ran 14s. All is this means to me, more ricers will be trying to race my z when its done .
  16. That thing has got too move. I always thought that a 7mgte would be nice, and now, I think it would be even nicer . What are your mods?
  17. Yeah looking at your wieght you wont gain much moving to a 240 and may have more traction problems. Anyhow, gives me some insight on what to look for my turbo 280.
  18. Wow those are some really nice times for the ZX. Are the mods listed in your sig the only ones, if so thats really good. In a 240z you would be in the 12s!
  19. Wow I just saw that movie 3 days ago at my bros, I can attest wierd. Cool costume tho.
  20. My friends dad(owner of a Escort Cosworth) is building a 2.3 with the volvo twin cam head for his friends merkur. Its pretty neat, wish there was something like that for a Z.
  21. Sorry he had to pass. Sounds like he was a great man and father. P.S my dad does that same exact thing, except Ive grown to enjoy fixing things over time.
  22. Lookin good Mat. Hey, you know I still need to patch some rust in my spare tire area, I wonder If I could use the piece you cut out? Anyhow, hopefully the weather will be nice enough for you to get some work done, I wanna see that beast in action.
  23. Nice! Youll actually be glad having the fwd'er when you start breaking drivetrain parts. Their pretty hard to find for these cars, luckily their pretty strong. Youll definitely have fun with it though. BOOST ON
