  1. The series 1 jag convertible is a beautiful car. The hardtop looks out of proportion to me though. A really long low front then a short tall back. It just doesn't look right.
  2. I was talking to someone a few weeks ago who said 2 different dynos he went to showed about 65 hp difference. There is no weights and standards type body that checks to make sure all dynos are the same. He said the mustang dyno showed lower numbers than the other. Thats why its important to use the exact same dyno if youre doing any tuning on your car.
  3. I guess. I get it from the internets do I don't have to wait.
  4. On wheeler dealers Facebook page he said they bought a Z so there will probably be an episode on that soon.
  5. They figured out the gm stuff several years back in Europe and made a box to control it. It's a more popular swap over there since they've been doing it longer.
  6. I believe it just uses a potentiometer for a set amount of assist. In oem situations I believe it may lower and raise assist automatically based on speed, but this seems to just have a manual adjustment with a knob.
  7. I went to ace hardware because I had the same problem and found some really thin washers in the stainless section. They were cut washers so they seemed to be different thicknesses. I dug thru them all and got the 2 thinnest ones.
  8. And the vintage air works well, blows really cold. Only problem I have is I think I tried to run the drain hose too long and too up and down so the condensation leaks on the floor. Y'all know I don't like to drill new holes, but I think I won't have a choice.
  9. They are big for 245s. I can still burn them off at will in 1st and 2nd. I actually took the car out on the hwy today. Next time you come over it will be road ready and we can take a ride.
  10. My new tires came in today and they were much wider than I expected. These 245/40-17 rivals were over an inch wider than the 245/45-17 sumitomos that were on my wheels. I never would have thought it would be that much difference. I have maybe 3/16" clearance to the spring on the inside and a little more than that on the outside.
  11. That's what I used for the lower radiator hose on a GTO LS1.
  12. I have some hand me down g35 wheels with bald 245/45-17 on the car now. On the rear inside I don't have much clearance to my coilovers. On the outside I can fit a finger in between the tire and lip. So a custom wider wheel with the width added to the outside and a 255 would fit with no rolling. Someone squeezed a 265 on back of theirs with custom wheels and rolling the fender. i have-1.2 camber on the back.
  13. Sure is not your u joints making noise?
  14. I ordered my 245/40-17 bf goodrich rivals tonight. I had direzza star specs on my last car. I'll let y'all know how they do.
  15. Crap, wish I would have known that before I bought the black dragon stuff. Think its made by Nissan or they just getting it from the same supplier as everyone else?
  16. 195s? No wonder no traction. I'm really worried about my 245s all around being useless for the power.
  17. The 22478 radiator hose with champion radiator, Taurus fan and GTO Ls1 works on the lower hose.
  18. When you have old eyes it's what you have to do.
  19. I used the lt1swap website to remove everything from my harness, pulled all the datsun fuel injection harness out, then selectively removed most of the datsun AC stuff (what I couldnt reuse for my vintage air). I think theres a black and white wire that goes to the coil that is good for the hot in start wire for the LS harness. I used a currrent performance block to power most of the LS stuff. Since I used the volvo fan relay with a taurus fan, I rewired the relays in the current performance block that were for low and high speed fans and used them for high and low beam headlight relays, to offload the combination switch.
  20. A couple of the wires can be used for things that need switched 12v power, etc. and they are already fused.
  21. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CB-Twin-USB-Port-Way-Car-Cigarette-Lighter-Socket-Splitter-Charger-Adapter-AU-4-/221546978537?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33953a9ce9 I picked up something similar to thisat a truck stop I was getting gas at. It was under$20. The end that plugs into the cigarette lighter broke eventually so i wired it to 12v in my daily. I will get another one like it and velcro it under the dash or on side of the console on the Z
