  1. Well got my turbo back and got her back on the road yesterday.. This time no smoking at all unlike it did with the turbo before. Im putting around 200 or so miles on it before I lay into this time as well.

  5. Well since my Z is down again awaiting on my turbo to get back I decided to strip the interior. I rewired my amps and installed my black carpet. old setup... And new updated...

  7. right, thats why Im asking if anyone else has used it.. I have been using it for like 4 years on a EFI car.. I doubt I will use it any longer for my setup.
  8. I have a Mallory 4309 FPR. I bought it second hand about 4 years ago. The issue is.. since my car is down for now waiting for my turbo to come back. I took the interior out and installing my new black carpet. I noticed the filter on the vacuum line going to my electronic Boost controller was yellow. I took it off and it had coagulated fuel in it. I did have this vacuum line T'd off the line going to the FPR. So I am assuming the FPR's diaphragm is leaking. I was researching on a rebuild kit and found it.. but also found that my 4309 Mallory is supposed to be used in a carbed application and is rated from 3-12psi of fuel pressure.. Has anyone else used this mallory with out issues on your FI cars? I'm reluctant on getting a rebuild kit if I shouldn't be using this FPR on a FI setup anyways...
  9. If your talking about the protective cap that's on the HID bulbs... Yeah.. heh if you don't you sure will have a mess on your hands.....
  10. yeah I lost the high beams.. you can buy the HID kits with "high beams" included.. They dont actually get brighter though.. they use a motor and move the lighting to a new position so they project further out..

  12. Boost controller problem solved.. I was using the wrong port on the solenoid. I have her up to 15psi right now and still at 11.2 A/F. She feels pretty stout. I swapped from the small turbo to a Precision PT59-62, HID installation, Tial external 38mm gate with open dump, 350Z seats, new grant steering wheel.
  13. Well I got her back together and put a few miles on the Z.. She runs good!! The new turbo is really nice and spool isnt too much slower then it was. For some reason when I hook my greddy boost controller up to my external wastegate.. the Gate will not open. I by passed the EBC and the gate opens as it should 7psi.. I will tell you this.. She feels almost as strong at 7psi as she did before at 15. I hope to sort out the EBC issue and be running 15-18psi soon..
