  1. Well not really famous but a really good friend of mine is starting a auto blog with some of his friends in Orlando. Guess what!.. I was the first feature. When Blake told me he wanted to shoot my Z for the auto blog I was like.. oh ok sure.. heh thinking that he was just pulling my leg.. lol well he came over and shot some pics! and they are amazing!! Good article as well.. I hope Big Phil Chimes in here as he is running a GT35R right now on his Z. he states that he gets full boost at like 2800 RPMs. That doesnt seem to match what the graph there is showing for the GT35R. I was going to go with a GT30R but went with a precision non Ball bearing unit instead because of cost.. Very interesting information indeed.
  5. When I got my new Intercooler and piping I put rags in the intercooler openings so nothing would get in them. Well I completely forgot about it and put the car back together and cranked it up.. It would run for a few seconds and die.. then the throttle stuck.. Took me a few minutes and took my IC piping off... heh face palm.. and I see a rag stuck in the TB plate..
  6. Precision PT59/62 To4E compressor housing 59mm wheel 60 trim. Exhaust housing is a .63 with a 60mm wheel and 76trim.

  8. Today at Top Dead Center in Mobile AL, they had there grand opening/DYNO day. It is on a dyno jet dyno. I managed 326 RWHP and 360 TQ. This is in 4th gear and 18psi of boost. I was kinda expecting alittle more HP more like around 350/375 but heh they are only numbers right? It sure feels nice. I hope to get it to the track soon before DNI so I can see how it does. My tune is pretty spot on.. It is just a street tune that myself and a friend helped out with. 11.6AFRs at 18psi. On low boost 15psi I did 288RWHP and 326TQ. There was a guy there with a RB26 S13 with the R32 skyline front and rear. He made 476@17psi.. not too bad. We have tons of footage and a vid will be up soon.. ********* UPDATE VIDEO*************
  9. I have about 1000 miles on everything since I put it all back together. So far so good on the heat coatings. That oil feed did NOT work.. It hit the block.. I went with a aftermarket piece that has BSP to NPT and was done with it.. Im hitting the dyno up tomorrow for a local dyno day.. we will see how she goes..

  12. The turbo is a precision PT59/62. It is a 59mm compressor wheel, 60Trim.with a To4E compressor housing. 62mm exhaust wheel 76trim with a .63AR exhaust housing.

  14. I have a 240sx trans. I hit 16-17psi in first.. it just rips through it that fast.. heh.
  15. Well I got my turbo back from Precision.HUGE THANKS TO IVO!!! for helping that process along!!! They rebuilt it and this time it felt like it should.( no smoke at idle or cruise) I also dropped the oil pan and cleaned it and the oil lines really good. I broke the turbo in by driving it normally (NOT getting into boost for 200 miles) and man was that hard!!! I also found that my mallory FPR was leaking at the diaphram so I got a new factory turbo FPR. I had to add about 3 points of fuel to the whole map. I was out on my "tuning road" it is a industrial part of town that really has almost no traffic. I was at 13psi and this mustangGT with cowl hood and at least exhaust came up and revved. well I was about to do a 3rd-4th gear pull anyways.. so he hit it and I did as well. I put about 7-8 cars on him.. heh.. AF was right at 11.5. He turns off and I continue. I have low boost now set at 15psi and got high boost at 18psi. with right at aronud 17-18deg of timing on the top end. I pulled timing at peak TQ to 16 just to be safe.My local shop here is having a dyno day next weekend so I registered for that. I cant wait to see what she will do as it feels way faster then it has ever felt.. 1st gear is over really quickly and believe it or not.. I get traction. I don't understand it but.. he. I'm not arguing. It hazes first out but from then on it just hooks!! I will have some video soon. I plan on getting it back to the dyno for fine tuning WOT soon as well. Man I cannot wait for DNI!!!
  16. awesome PHIL!! I have been wondering where you have been!.. I started tuning on my Z.. but I dont want to take anything away from this post so check it out on the non tech.. What color are you going with? Also man I think you will really love the Tranny. I have the 240sx tranny and Im not really sure how long it will last.. I might have to pick another one up as a spare before DNI.. Looking good dude!
  17. Hey Yoshi, I wish I knew you were going!.. we could have met up!! It looks like the IRL might be coming to Barbers!! The IRL drivers stated that they saw something that have not really ever seen before.. PAYING FANS!! and they were blown away by the 10K people that showed up over the weekend..   19. You know whats funny? thats a close personal friend of mine.. LOL chris Ethridge.. He had it in his apt.. It was sure a HIT!!.. Very kewl movie as well!!!
  20. If you have not had a chance to make it out to Barbers you really need to!! It is the nicest cleanest place I think I have ever been to. Its freaking HUGE! We also hit up the Motorcycle museum. I think it is the largest in the world. The event was a blast. you could get right up and personal with the IRL cars. These cars are amazing to see in person.. just something about a engine making 700-800hp at 19000RPMS!! You could feel it in your chest.. I plan on making it back to Barbers to see more events!! Here are some pics of the Museum as well as the small car show and pics of the IRL cars.. The crazy part is.. the fastest bike that has been around that track is in the 1.20 range.. These guys and Gal.. (I heart danica) were in the 1.10-1.13 range..

  23. Im thinking your not even touching the effeciency range of that turbo as well as your restrictive exhaust. That sounds like a rather large turbo for your setup. Might want to go back to the drawing board, research what turbo would be best for your application and go from there. Also look at full mandrel 3" exhaust and tuning.. what is your timing table? what AFR's are you at when WOT? there are many factors in getting your cars full potential..
  24. yeah Yoshi.. I bought it from Forrest. Im about to install my new 3" schroth harness. I got the carpet kit second hand from a member here on hybridZ!.. It covered the whole tranny tunnel..
