Dustin, I have a MsS fuel injected set up so it takes tuning, and maybe bigger injectors ( but seeing how pig rich it runs now i doubt they are not sufficient) But thanks for the pointer to the supercharger, i am leaning that way to (apart from the cost) Mainly because i don’t need 600HP.. I need power on demand and a linear curve so i don’t need to change gear sets for every track (not that i could do much more than changing the diff) Maybe it is good to point out that im looking for 400 to 450 to the wheels in this car. BTW i love your ride

  9. Since now i have the car running I’m wondering a couple of things.. I need more power (doh) somewhere in the next year i want to go to a 383 but this is a great test mule to get all the parts mounted and working the way i want. next to that it is what i had so saying: 'if you want more power get more displacement' http://www.youtube.com/user/frank280zx#p/a/u/0/R9uo9Pku82E Scenario 1: I have the SS autochrome Twin turbo headers and i have twin KKK 16 ( t28's), Or I could upgrade for bigger el cheapo Ebay specials.. Now this ads complexity in plumbing exhaust tubing, oil feeds and drains etc. But the upside is cost.. this could be done for around 1500. Scenario 2: Supercharger! I have non of this .. but it is tempting, I can buy em without any oil lines.. it is bracket mounted and driven by a pulley.. I can leave my exhaust system alone! and it kind of goes with the American engines temperament of low end grunt.. It is by far the most simple route but it wil cost about 3000.... So your opinions please! the car is mainly a track day/ ring tool not daily driven. And maybe someone has a set up for sale

  11. who here or on zcar.com had a 500K plus car still on stock everything? I know in Utrecht when i used to study there was 2400 laurel cab that had 750K miles on the stock bottom end, he had to replace his cylinderhead somewhere along the road due to cracking when he blew a gasket.. but that was it ...

Tony you are forgetting my white turd: -It did not smoke. -From the general condition it was in when we found it .. maintaince stopped ... long ago (though it had recent dizzy) -It had plenty of power ( i came 4th at the autox with sticky tires) -It doesnt use any oil noticable AND IT HAS A WHOPPING 370K miles
  14. i have been thinking about pro charging my zx lately.. as on a SBC it way less complex than the twin turbo route i planned. Seems to me you should be able to mount it on a stock sbc location.. but then agian i have yet to gather parts and test fit
  15. haha befor the bigger Turbo .. id say brakes and suspension first nothing holds a car back more than sloppy brakes and stock suspension

  18. i just shot these guys a mail! curious as this could be great for my track driven car as a tilton is nice.. but the flywheel will be a custom job again.. And for the prize these guys seem to be the way to go (for my l6 track car in progress)

  20. Ad's cars are just really nicely finished without pining on doors etc.. is it the cheapest way? hell no! are the some of the cleanest cars out there? HELL YES Some things that Tony seem overrated, but they are not in the eyes of a guy who used to work in F1! and various race teams.. Every gram is one! And it does show in competition, his cars always run top 10 orso (depending on driver etc)
