  1. haha what ya bringing a Brabus Rocket Mercedes apart from the AMG's arent particully known for a sporty or fast drive. However together with Beemers to me they are with no doubt the best build cars out there. 9op to 300.000 KM with nothing rattling! But to come back at your statement bring your merc and lets go to the ring I Think it is just styling, the Merc is more 'baroc' styled (the way the buttons for seat adjustment are layed out) where the BMW is more 'Modern'. Funny to see how actually a continent makes a diffrence, as where a brand stands In europe beemers and mercs roughly have the same crows
  2. Haha in Europe they are driven as TAXI cabs haha My dad has a Mercedes but im a BMW guy and it doesnt seem to be a fact that the Beemer vrowd goes with the merc crowd to well here.. So nice TAXI'S guys
  3. Thats why it is so rare who still runs the stock
  4. That is just a great thing! is your dad still arround to see you stepping in his footsteps ?
  5. I think mister Beta motorsport should be able to do the work on most of our designs. Like Smokescreen states you need to 'copy' the design as from suspension design it is very similar. Needles to say the e30 M3 was very competitive. Maybe I need to explain why you would want to modify or not. Modifying only makes sense when you really lower the car, and/or use it to compete. Mainly do to the camber changes when (extreme) lowering a semi trailing arm design. You don’t want 3 to 4 degrees camber in the back, (street driven it eats tires, competative it sucks) And you don’t want the fairly extreme toe in like the S130 has stock when you compete. A heim joint set up doesn’t help comfort and wears out faster than bushings. So question yourself what you do with the car, if it is mainly spirited street driven action your car sees (as most s130 in the us see) you can get away with mush less invasive modifications like simply slotting the bolt holes. And that would only be when you go coil-overs as the stock lowering sets don’t really make these modifications necessary. In my case I’m building a full non street driven race car, and that simply takes a whole different approach, as suspension design and brakes are far more important than heaps of power.
  6. Im not debating the need of vented brakes in the rear? But an 88 eurospec z31 has vented rear disks....that is before y2k On the subject i think vented rears on a car with the weight on Z , like the AZC kit is a complete overkill. A friend runs top 10 victory´s with his 65 SHelby 350GT with basically e39 5 series disk on 4 pod calipers and drums in the rear for 6 hours straigt. (6 hours of spa.) not heat soaking or changing pads during the 6 hours. Like BJHINES said before it is all about the set up, pad used, and i might ad brake fluid. An s30 has no need even in track use for vented rears
  7. I have two in my shop at 2K each ..... just look and search they are out there esp in germany and belgium
  8. Well it is not the M stuff, but in the Netherlands and europe M engines can be had between 2000 and 4000 euro. building an L will easely sat you back that much. Newer BMW Audi or Mercedes V8's will cost about the same. The x5's engine etc etc. But yeah my 540i MSport at 160 walks a 350z with ease akward as they roughly have the same HP specs. At 10.5 comp you could add a snail ... but why not use a thicker copper gasket to bring it down to say a 9 comp ratio?
  9. i've seen more impressive set ups here The front sump on the M60B40 is kind of a pain for perfect positioning. But all in all im happy! But thanks for the compliment
  10. Haha ow i forgot it is all about the straight line i did not see that in the original post Mine will never be .. maybe a post for the best handling .. but then agian we would need to meet up at a track and race
  11. it is a MSA airdam

  12. ask it in the stock drivetrain sextion you might get more replies than in the s130 section.. the engine is generic to the s30's But as for the problem... ^^what he said^^^
  13. As for L series i would not say Jeffp isnt in teh list he mad close to 700 to the wheels
  14. Intresting id say buy it! 1800hp in a z would require some more modifications to the general structure of the car haha BTW palosfv3 Nice Facels a friend of mine owns a HK500 aswel i send him your pisca photo's im sure he'd enjoy
  15. M60B40 with getrag 6 speed.. last odds and ends are being fabbed up (wiring etc)
  16. well what you see is a small car with a small v8
  17. To be honest apart from the more widely available upgrade parts for s13 (so preventing yourself from doing the R&D and fabbing work) I don’t see the point of s13 suspension. To me the trailing arms never have been a set back, and apparently BMW didn’t seem to bother to change it out either. The amount of work to fit s13 suspension would be as much, if not more, as adapting the trailing arm to be a perfectly adjustable set up.
  18. what kind of airdam is that on the yellow zx?

  19. I have to agree with Alan that it is the 'zeitgeist' of the time, celicas 2000gts, mgb's and fairlady roadsters, s30's, the bleubird (or 510) and the fiat 128.. they all have that same look and feel. Cars from teh same company would most definatly share styling.. as mostly they where drawn from the same hands. It is much like the modern volkwagens, seats and alfas they all share styling, and within the brand it is hard to tell the diffrence between a Jetta and a Passat. And as for that diffrent port thing.... dont give tony ideas, he has allot of ports coming with his job
  20. Since I still havent decided to go with the isma kit (if i would it would be for weight reasons) i tried to convince myself I got new wheels to fill out the body kit. In Europe we have the saker cup they run 4 x 114.3 10,5 rear and 8,5 front with ET6,5 So they are easy to get tires for + they are close to the rim widths the Bob sharp and elektramotive cars ran. They are a Simmons racing sectional wheel, and the styling actually suits the s130's 80's look. http://http://www.sakereurope.com/12/Contact/default.ecms I bought set of Wilwood gt 6000's and superlites (1,88"and 1,75"pistons) with a 1,25 disk that i have adapted on the stock ZX hub. I’ll shoot some pics of the wheels an brakes and upload them asap. Right now she is on stands and being gutted! the stock engine is out.. and the weight saving will begin! I’m looking for 1000KG total weight
  21. Wow that is a nice solution. however what do extreem loads do to it? would it cause it to go off alighnment? the E30 set up with heim joints has no room for 'sliding'
