  1. I agree a v8 is easy bang for $.. as 300hp is a stock combo from the crate ... However turboes can be made making 350 to the wheels with a small AR.. so not the most lag ... Im really curious what a v8 z would feel like, as in holland... well you dont see them
  2. Have you measured them? .. i wish i would have ever seen a rb head without the intake and exhaust! from the looks it wont fit ... just an idea though... These RB's seem to have the two middle ports fairly close aswel .. maybe with some fabwork ... ( only replacing the middle pipes) I just would like and hope to see some measurements
  3. This might be a stupid questions, but from what I learned, there are no stupid questions, just answers .. I do spend some time strolling ebay on lost moments.. .just to see what is up for sale.. And I do encounter allot of headers and turbo manifolds, prized to sell! A friend of mine installed one of these cheap DC header knock offs.. and really they are not even as crappy as one would expect! And at this prizes who cares if they crack in a year or two ? But to come back to my question… I see tons of RB headers for sale…now here is the question!! Do the exhaust ports of an RB engine line up with those of an L head… I know the bolts wont.. but that is overcome able.. It might have spacing issues between the strut towers and whatnot… but if the portholes fit or are fairly close .. I really would like to try ! Who could measure this.. or who might even have tried ? i know it is a longshot .. but hey
  4. well skyline tails... now it has flares aswel... yeah i know... either hate it or love it ... it still needs more detail ( on the left a ring will inserted to exit the exhaust) .. I like the front end that was fabbed up... i might go somewhere down that route aswel .. or a MSA airdam 2
  5. hmm why not make the control arms adjustable with ball joints so you can adjust the lenght
  6. yeah front with no bumper actually doesnt look that good... an airdam would be needed to make it look anything normal... or some fab work at least
  7. opening the hood a bit is fairly common in japan actually! for exactly that reason, so it probably works
  8. Just visited your site I love the roof line … however why are you going so wide on the rears.. this wil not promote aerodynamics… and even worse… how wide are you planning your rims to be ? The YZ kit witch by far is more subtle even uses 12 j rims to fill out nicely.. you would need.. well doubletires .. However I like the Dearing approach…However IMHO you went a little over the top with flares I widened my zx aswel I just have to reproduce the front fenders and hood in glas or carbon
  9. Did you finally get a windshield ? and how is progress on the car
  10. Actually i have no idea, so enlighten me, and us in that matter... as it does not strike me as being Über effective in the aerodynamics department...
  11. The best s30 would be around .38 this is full bellypan gnose all the works... that is where a stock s130 starts!!!! so, to set the title straight ... it is not the 80's z! it is just the s30 that has the same basic aerodynamics as a piece of plywood ( ~.48 for plywood and something like .46 for a split window Microbus..) and the Z is somewhere in between !! I have to look up exact numbers... The s30 is poorly designed in that matter .... if you look at the small lip where the hatch starts on a s130..... it is not there for no reason... those are the secrets that make it so much better than the s30 in this department (not talking looks here) so if you want some good aerodynamics a s30 will not do the trick… that is why TonyD is going to use an s130 on the saltflats! However how many times do you get upto 120 on a windy mountain road or even a track anyway
  12. love that hood !!! i would actually work the hood yourself, glass is very forgiving to work with
  13. yeah read those details ! so we wont leave you at the airport!
  14. So how are you going to steer it, i have a set i will operate on MsS to spray between say 1700 and 2500 rpm to help spool...this would prevent BOV leaking as i would not really be boosting then. And well it is a nice gadget ... i dont need it ... it is just ... ooh well who am i explaining for ... you will have the same reasoning i fear ! Love the car though!! looking great
  15. Actually there are japanese guys with Skyline rear axles under their s130's so since the s12 is more widely available in the US... try that!
  16. yeah its gotta be the springs gabe ( hence they are on the yellow car)
