Im in the progress of helping a friend in his 240 to l28ET swap, we have all the nics, and i have wired up the following thusfar: * Igniter yellow wire, to pin 5 of the ECU plug ( middle one) (yellow, white ) * Igniter black, to switched 12 v current, blue to the neg, and black to the pos * Brown and green off fusable links ( 12V ) * Black behind relais to ground. But for now i get now current to ecu or cas, as the relais wont go clicky.... To what wire of teh relais do i want to connect the switched 12v? Problem with searcing is that this is a UK car, with a partly zx loom and partly 240, so i need to figure this one out.. anybody ?
  3. Yeah you need to hook it up ast the igniter get its pulse of the ECU that gets is off the cas. The cas in 82/83 models has a round connector with 4 wires ( 81 aswel ? ), one being ground, one 12 volt and 2 5 volts pin outs, futher 12 volts on negative and positive on the coild sounds off to me. how did you wire it up? as the relais needs a direct current off the fusable (brown and green) and switched ( what wire you wired it upto) Also the Igniter needs to be wired upto pin 5 on the ECU's second plug ( yellow white) to get the pulse
  4. Your head did came off a l28et originally so it 'is' a turbo cam, though could be European. I dunno but there might be a diffrence there. ( the guy told me he got the head of an L28ET and flat tops block was in an US spec whith a worn head, it was replacement. But the car got scrapped in the end) Unless you used the came of the other head you took with the engine i gave? Maybe the power after the dip is his NAWS

  6. LOL you wuzzy start DRIFTIN lol... im also sliding all over having fun at it aswel anyway george is on his way... it is -15... so we needz some heat Anyhow i needed 3psi more for 6 HP less, though my torque curve was flatter, and 208 FT BTW nice snowman you got build there !!

I thought only xander was wasted from als those watery french 'yellow' milk` I sat in his car, adn apart from his Idle, the thing ran pretty strong, especially since he was only running 7psi ( OK OK maybe the sandblasting grit in your vent system adds to the thrill by you having to close your eyes on full boost ) I'm very curious to see where it will lead under 10 or even 15 psi !! since he has teh flat top pistons !!

I have just bought a SARD ATTACK meter It is really nifty http://www.sard.co.jp/product/electronics/meter_03.html anyway i think so ( gadted freak) however who has one, and how do i wire this in ? any help would be greatly aprieciated. since i dont read japanes, i cant contact them trough this site asking for one, if anyone can read it, help would agian be apriciated!   10. intresting this idea has been going round my mind sometime now.. however i have not figured out a sleek way of actually ducting out, other than a semetrical..... on my zxt that is.. alos i had an idea on venting it out the passanger side hood vent, as i have the space for ducting on that side .. that would not only look decent but function aswel
  11. hi well one thing i DO know for sure IN europe ZXT's have bigger calipers, as i cant fit 14"on my euroturbo, as cant others, i can sell you a set of those to go with teh CV shafts if you are intrested. The disks on these cars are the same BTW

  15. I have set of these RARE cv's if intrested PM me, i want to sell, the only have 70something K on them ! how does a 100 USD sound ? In europe they came on 83 at's BTW a 100 is ex S.H, witch might ad 50 max so you are looking at 150 for a good set at your doorstep let me know
  16. pretty sure it wont detonate, Xander ( after this afternoon) and Pete are the proof of this, hence the compression is absurdly low !!! A turbo to my knowledge does NOT have a bigger TB, but a 240sx swap would give a little more response ( do not expect HUGE improves) If you go Megasquirt you can control the detenation better ( if it will occure) and you wont need a turbo loom ECU, and dizzy, you can run teh stock dizzy.. For info on I however would try to source a p90 head
  17. Could you have the right left and vise versa, resulting in the bleeder to be on top ( a frined of mine did that once, and was bleeding his brakes for the better part of teh day before he ( or actually Xander) discovered! anyway looks really ... well aftermarket and cool !!

Accordingly it was dirt of the starters impact on the flywheel and clutch debree.. but yeah you can clean em, and im not really worrieing. i hope it works, it looks to be very stable theoretically... Man i might even use the same set up... however ill first try with the cas.. since i have got other stuff to do and we have no clue what system those WRX Fords where using, you are using pretty powerfull magnets... (watch it you might draw metal objects to you car )
  19. Well this is thusfar intresting... since we ( xandar and me ) know a guy that was kind off agianst mounting them in the flywheel, for the reason they could get dirty... it look very cool and pro though
  20. very resourcefull indeed, Tony what would you feel is better, the 'xandersystems' unit or teh OEM CAS like i have, still debating ( luckely i have a few months to debate untill i need to decicde)

  23. maybe you have to dewire the engine.... get a wireing scheme of a 83 zxt and hook it back up, however the Z31MAF could be the issue, or whatever you have wired in there apart from stock ........ I would try to go MS and S ( megasquirt )
