Hey Rik and no tony he did not get the engine from my place, Rick and I ( and his brother Kay have met several times, did some trades, and talked about hanging out at the tracks some.. but up to now our cars have not been running at the same time haha ! as for Tony MSA ill be over agian .. so get your ass over here for some fun out on the tracks.. also you might want to see ads shell progress!!! Yup the whale tail was designed for isma scca racing by the major teams, so they did take the whole car in consideration.. they might have look at porsche their design at the time.. but this was more or less the standard in late 70's car wings

well i still have to soothen out the underside and cut away obsolete frame, but i take as it will be pin down i will weigh about the same as OEM ( i dont have to as it now even still has the release hook) The beta hood almost weighs the same as the stock skin! So without the hinges, most of the inner frame, hood release system. etc. It will be in the same ballpark. ( naturally i hope it will be lighter) when im don grinding wetsanding and detailing the bottom and have it painted once more ill shoot some pics on my yellow Z so you can see what it look like. it will give me much more needed cooling and it will look diffrent

Here you can see it with the filler primer on next week fun !!! wetsanding!!! Shot right after paint it will dry out satin then the 'fun' of wetsanding starts .. but im not to dissapoited by the results sofar As you can see it is far from perfect smooth but nothing that well a nice day of wetsanding etc wont solve !!

I would love that widebodykit they have .. doesnt anyone live closeby so the can set up as a 'vendor' damn they even have gf doors for the 280

I will .. ill probably need the room as i will be compound charging that is Supercharging and Turbocharging it will run BMW m3 ITB's .. and i think i might have to get plumbing going over the top rather than in front of the engine gonna be cramped but the plans and parts are there !! thisway i can make a 280zxsti LOL

Naviathan I said it on zcar.com and i will say it here!! You know in europe you get fined for driving in the fast lane where there is no reason too do that ? Why are you there ? overtaking on the slow lane is not allowed ... Even so in germany that behavior you described would get you killed!!(not by a gun but a merc that pillers in at 250 KMH ++) however his response is kind off out there i agree, but i would go pissed to when some dude is on the right lane minding his own business like he owns the road ... The road is not a playfield .. some people might not see that you are holding up traffic to 35 miles in the RIGHT lane .. and pillar into the dodge !!

Nope it is a much bigger one it is a autocooler core 4" thick and radiotor sized But yeah it is the type3 not to hard to fix.. though needs some extending on the sides ( 3" orso )

Haha sorry about that was at work so kindoff busy .. but yeah i mean when we get a reputable shop offering to make it ... we should move fast, as most supliers dont see market in the s130 i have seen your work.. and shop, met you as a very nice guy .. and cut up your work last week to know it is quality ...so finally the underdog car so to speak .. ( not as underdog as a z31 but ...) gets some stuff made .. Like i said on the phone ... a hatch would be something i would wish for somwhere at the end of this year or next year ( MSA time) aswel! Who is in guys.. and what would you John see as a fit downpament and where and when does this need to be in.. I would be looking at a 'fake CF' 480 USD one and a GF one for me. This will be without hood vents ?? or with ?

Well guys we have winner here !!! rear hatches too ? I would def buy a CF or glass Hood (is that the same mold ???) and a CF or GF Rear hatch of you John, I assume you would make a cowl ? or a normal hood?? Any way the hood i took last time would be a great cowl mold haha ! I just would like one for 2+2 too, and the hatch for my CPE project .... What are you looking for per unit and where can i pay ! Lets get this going guys !! IM IN Common HOP THE BANDWAGON HERE !!!

No not yet but after this weekend i will i made some pics of the preparations it takes some nerves as you have to cut up your hood .. and trim down two orners of the beta sport hood ..... (haha the point of no return)

The beta motorsport unit is a real close fit .. With a little fabrication it looks smooth and pro.. especially when you would paint it all black!! Maybe ask John C to do a limited run on them ??? He makes quality stuff and is a member .. i would def buy another off him for a s130 ! ( cowled that is )

I just adapted a Beta Motorsport Cowl hood to fit my S130 hood, Ill put up some pics after this weekend .. it is relatively easy and gives allmost complete cf hood ..!!! ( you could layer the 4"sides that stay steel with CF) What i did is outline the s30 hood on the S130 hood .. and it will fit allmost perfectly in the 'lower'areay of the hood .. I tehn cut it out and peeled the outer skin .. then i trimmed down the front of the CF Beta motorsport hood (Sorry about that) It blends in perfectly and i started smooting it with glas and epoxy (good thing i used to repair full CF surfboards ) Then ill either paint the sides of the hood flat black and leave the CF visable.. put a layer of cf on the hood parts that stay steel .. or paint the entire hood black ... Pics will be up soon ! It feels lighter.. but i have to do a check when it is all smoothen out.. otherwhise japan is key they even sell CF doors !!! i so want to win the lottery !
