  1. Hey, wait a minute ...... when did you get another Z?
  2. Quit hording .... some of us are gonna need these deals in a few years !!
  3. He'll be back ...... they always come back..... Sucks to hear though.... I'm sure the dime will fill the void ............ temporarily at least
  4. Me personally, and this is just my opinion ...... He's got a lot of great parts and has done some great work thus far, but I personally wouldn't go for more than half (or slightly over half) that asking price. To me, it just wouldn't be worth it. I'd end up spending a TON of money doing things the way I have wanted them and not the way somebody else had done them. Don't get me wrong, it looks like he's done an AWESOME job so far, just needs A LOT more work before it's road worthy. To me .... if I'm gonna pay that much for it, it'd better be a completed swap with only minor touch ups needed.... Just my .02
  5. I call BS ... I was able to do it
  6. Good luck with it bro ... I'm glad it met your expectations. She's a little quirky with the wiring, but once you get her squared away, she'll be a great runner .... I'm still sick to my stomach having to let her go ... treat her right and she'll return the favor !!!!
  7. As a matter of fact I did!! He was asking a lot of questions about upgrades/swaps and stuff so I made sure that he knew about the site! It won't be the last time that you see the car, I can almost guarantee it.
  8. Honestly, I have full iintentions to getting back to this area when we get back and will definately keep in touch. I did save a lot of my spare parts as well, just to make sure I've got a reason to build another Z, gotta have somewhere for those parts to go. I hardly doubt I'll be away from the site too much though, still a good source of information about cars in general, let alone Z's, and the people have been great...... The car will be in the Springfield area by the way, so I doubt it's the last you'll see of it.
  9. Well you called that one brother. For the first time in about 5 years .....I'm Z-less... and will be for another 3-4 Oh, I kept a lot of spare parts .... and will DEFINATELY build better in a few years!!
  10. man.... I feel sick to my stomach ... I have a looker coming tonight with a check in hand. I actually might have to go through with this....
  11. Boy, I tell ya what ..... just putting the feelers out I've had TONS of interest!!!... wish me luck guys
  12. Shoot, I have a T56 with a stock LT1 clutch, braided lines, T5 slave, and Tilton 7/8 MC..... And that boy is STIFF compared to newer cars like my Cobalt. To me it just goes with the territory and I love the feel of it ... stiff or not.
  13. In my experience... I've had to only ask a few questions when doing my ENTIRE swap ... this is due to the search function. Alot of the newer people are spoon fed answers on other boards then bring that dependency on over here. Don't get me wrong, I've done it before and was told to search ... guess what ... after searching, I found the answer I was looking for. I haven't been here the longest, but I do get irritated when I see the board cluttered with questions that have been answered over and over again. If that person had searched, then there wouldn't have been a need for the new question (90% of the time). Now, "shedding new light" on a thread is fine, but if the new question is something that had not been discussed before and was definitively answered, there's no reason why the person should have even asked the question to begin with. If there is still a lingering question about something I HIGHLY doubt the old "do a search" would even be whipped out. From what I have seen, it will be discussed and an opinion/solution will be formed, thus eliminating the need for the question to be asked again until something unresolved comes up...... Just my thoughts, get pissy all you want at me, but the "do a search" comments will be here to stay until people start doing it ..... Go HybridZ !!! Still the best technical site I've EVER seen on the internet.
  14. Just figured I'd give a heads up guys .... I'm gonna Ebay the Z probably starting this weekend. Just have to put it back together. I'll post a link when I get her listed. It'll be sad to see her go ... but there's other priorities now ...... Unless somebody wants to loan me about 6 grand with the Z as collateral (to be kept in your possession) for the next few years .....
  15. Looks like a "race prepped" excellent running motor to me !! Well, according to Savage42's standards anyway, when he robbed me of about 4 g's on a motor I bought from him.
  16. I'll post pics up later, but I've got Prelude (mid-late 90's) seats in mine. They fit great. All I did was bend the mounting tabs on the bottom of the seats (they were originally set at about a 45 degree bend), to a 90 degree bend, then I fabbed some spacers out of some metal tubing that I found at the hardware store, I then had to drill new holes into the stock seat mounting cross members, inserted some longer bolts through the spacers and voila!!! Excuse the mess, I'm rewiring.... Edit:
  17. Holy crap ... How about a period or a comma? It took me about ten minutes to decipher what you were trying to say there. I don't know how to fix your car, but maybe you should clean your post up a little bit to ensure you get the help you need. Some very knowledgable people on this site won't even give your post a chance because of the way it's written, thus preventing you from getting the help your asking for. Just my .02 Oh and don't blame the car
