Konig Five Star wheels - got pics?
yhlz replied to Glliw's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
You're referring to the Konig Candy. There is a member in the wheel show post that has it. Youre gonna have to flip through and find it. If i remember correctly, it was on a black s30. IMHO, the high offset on the Konig wheel makes the wheel design look weird. The Work wheels definitely looks better but is costly. Im also curious as to the offset that MSA offers on that wheel. The only offset in 16x7 that I could find was +40, which is a pretty high offset for the S30. -
Stony, based on the photo that you have provided of the s30 that was featured on Super Street magazine, the airdam is from Xenon part #3125 for the 280z model. The airdam was made for the 280z and therefore does not have the slots for the 240z signals. Of course, it can fit the 240z as well. Another major design difference is that the airdam opening is curved towards the bottom where as the 240z specific airdam is straight 90 degree corners. The airdam is also curved similar to imitate the stock 280z valence as well. I personally like the 240z signals paired with the ventless airdam. It's what I've been contemplating for my 280.

Do you mind sharing your setup? N42 block with turbo internals? Or stock piston setup? Im assuming it is the stock turbo...factory psi setting as well? -
Searching for some SSR MK III Wheels 15s

If you can find a used set or even order a new set, just get them re-barreled. Try contacting these vendors. Just be ready to fork out cash since these types of services are never cheap. Gotta pay to play, as they say. http://infinitwheels.com/ http://www.memoryfab.com/ http://www.rotiform.com/ -

It's not giving you any fuel issues with the slapped on turbo? How are you compensating for the extra air? Would love to know. -

I may have missed it but what engine management are you running? -
Is there reason for you to believe they are not factory cams?

best wheel option for orange 260
yhlz replied to camilo's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Depends on how you want your car to look. Japanese influence with low offset wheels? Modest wheel set with regular offset? or Modernized 17+ inch wheels? You have to give us more info. Otherwise, you can just check out the wheel show post. -
They will look just like every Z with Wats, almost. Be careful with seller. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/84434-z-force-productions/

Haha. No that's not what i meant but I often do searches and have a hard time finding links. And if I find links, the info often leads to finding another link. Plus, this site has changed over the years and some of the old stickies arent viewable anymore. Thanks for the link Miles.

I've always hated posts that never have links to answers so hopefully I've got the right link for rod adjustment. Miles, is this what you were talking about? http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/102754-a-one-inch-diameter-brake-master-cylinder-for-the-s30-z-cars/

Perfect! Thanks for the info. Were there any adjustments or modifications that had to be made or was it easy to replace? Thanks.

Car stalled going down freeway help!
yhlz replied to FreddyZ78's topic in Trouble Shooting / General Engine
Could be a bad diaphragm in your brake booster. I am having the same issues. When ever I step on the brakes, the booster leaks air into the vacuum line that connects to the intake manifold, causing the engine to bog down and die. Here is a simple way to test it before you actually buy a new booster (which are hard to find a replacement for now). take a clamp and securely clamp down the vacuum hose that goes from the booster to the intake manifold. If it solves your issue then you've got a bad brake booster. Good luck. -
Where do you guys go to buy original or close to original paint colors? I really want the 920 gold. http://zhome.com/History/ZColorGallary/

Thanks. That is what i figured. I was able to find an 8.5in. on ebay. I will be buying 2 in case i need to change it in the future. Has anyone else used other booster models from different cars?
-
I have a 75 280z and my brake booster has to be changed. I am finding it difficult to find a replacement. From my understanding, I need to use the 8.5 in. diaphragm booster. The only thing is that no one carries this item anymore (Oreilly, Napa, Autozone). It seems that manufacturers are no longer making them. Some of the auto parts stores do still carry the 10 in. diaphragm booster though. Will the 10 in. one work? Are there any other boosters that can work with our applications? Any advice is appreciated.

It looks good my man! No need to have wheel tuck. I'm sure it looks alot lower in person than in photos. What is the setup?

i tried a good battery from another car and changed out the negative battery wire. Turning on the lights dont affect it anymore, so far. Hopefully you can try this out. I was having some issues with drivability also but after i changed the fuel filter, the car is running amazing again!! Who wouldve thought?
