  1. I believe its behind the shelf located by the battery where the fusible links are mounted.
  2. Fastest zxt factory was 15.6, that would be the 81auto 16.1 is what 5spd cars run stock. Im dying to see how you run 13.9 without upping the boost.
  3. I have no idea how he got them into the 240z, it woudl be different for a 280 but not by much i would think. he has the kind with a funny pattern all over them, not the ones you have pictured.
  4. it might work better. I did it mainly to offset the pressure drop of the intercooler piping to bring it back to stock boost.

    T56 to L6

240zturbo (username) on this site runs a powerglide behind a twinturboL6 For the t5 i would contact gforce transmissions, they do have a website somewhere, and upgrade the internals to the newer 5 speeds that are stronger. I figure this way no adapters or anything would be needed, except for possibly having to use a chevy or ford input spline with a bigger ujoint, now wouldnt that suck?
  6. $upra crowd is loaded, they can smog anything..... but to be legit they have to put the cats and other smog stuff back on and detune a bit, stock they smog pretty easy. I guarantee if they come single turbo without the right equipment hooked up, even with a cat, a good smog tech is failing them fast! There are ways around the dyno smogging of course but the ways to do it have advanced with the system of emissions testing and
  7. Im over 6ft. I use the z32 seats they work well and dont sit high. Maybe the supra seats would work for you?
  8. A friend of mine recently registered a skyline gtst as a 240sx kit car in nevada, and drives it around whenever he wants with nevada plates on it. Dont ask me how I dont know. RB and SR motors cannot be smogged nor refereed legally. A supra engine can be refereed, an older car is exempt from emissions testing, but this assumes you keep it how it came stock with the smog pump or other emissions equipment, be careful.
  9. If I have mine off or on,it makes no difference.
  10. I really dig how the endtanks line up straight into the radiator support, while keeping them huge. Its cool.
  11. Of course leaving 2 long ass stripes on the ground is important!! It's a MUST! Only thing better is leaving 4 long stripes!! I got to drive a z with the nismo clutch lsd, its a good unit and yes after installation you are close to 1k invested if you get the unit new and have a skilled driveline shop install the unit into your carrier, but it changes the handling traits of the zcar like night and day, and it can make you a slideshow king! Only thing I like seeing than two long tracks is two long tracks seperated by the shifts Either way you go about getting an LSD diff, youre driving and handling will be changed for the better and I seriously doubt after a few thousand miles of driving it will you feel cheated. 500 for a used r200 may sound high, but put 500 miles on it assuming its in good condition and you will probably forget all about it. A change like this can turn a car you like a little into a car you love. It seems people with a lot of tracktime behind them are biased as to which unit they prefer and I find that to be only natural, and reading their various points of view is an education within itself.
  12. the zxt knock sensor is a joke, ask any of the turbo guys running or ran with factory fuel systems. j and s knockguard is good.
  13. Thanks for the link, well if Corky Bell says it bolts up with a spacer and some reclocking, well then it probably does!
  14. A buddy of mine is getting ready to upgrade the turbo on his typhoon, which currently runs high 13s, and I am going to pickup his turbo and air to water ic as he is going air to air on a big pte turbo. Im wondering if anyone knows if the flange on a mitsubishi(td06-17g) is compatible with garret, or knows if someone out there makes a flange for adapting a mitsubishi turbo to go where a garret was. At the worst, I would have a mitsubishi flange welded to stock manfold. ON the typhoon this turbo is a 60 ft killer, its factory internal gated at 14psi and flows 550cfm, oil and water cooled. Im planning another car with fuel management good enough to run that 14psi more at least the first couple thousand miles Thanx guys.
  15. maybe loose driveshaft bolt?
  16. Throw some firebird tailights on that puppy, and boom, youll have a firebird!
  17. Never use the search function, whatever you do.
  18. Well then lets you see you drift next to em then!
  19. you shouldnt need a trigger for that setup, wired one up to stock nissan wiring runs good, you may have a loose connection somewhere or you may need to double check your wiring.
