  1. bolt em up, i did a 100 shot, its very addicting. had to take it off because i would hit the juice to pass people when all i really needed to do was floor it, this my old 327 z.
  2. factory sealant is the best, i use MOPAR sealant on everything, got three tubes for free from my buddy.
  3. that cars comes from hustle, and that car will hustle.
  4. use the orange high heat stuff, it leaks less, and thats a hot surface to seal! an be generous with it as well.
  5. they are easy to hook up, just need a schematic for what wire to what, its that easy.
  6. no stripes on the roof if its a chevy please.
  7. 120.00 is pretty dang good, but i want to overclutch the car a little bit i like the sound of the ACT 400lber, i may either go with one of those, or SPEC, i have to see what either of them have for me in terms of the 225mm sizing, i really do want to drop the trans, wipe the flywheel, and bolt up the clutch and be done with it. after six full boost launches on the slicks, I know imma kill this clutch pretty quick.
  8. recently got a ride in my buddies 240 with L28et, hybrid turbo, 55mm tb massive spearco with 2.5 inch intercooler piping, 2.5 inch exhaust, scotties dp, and 10psi, with the rest being stock efi components, he dynoed 290hp and 320lbs going lean at 4500 @13psi, but at 10spi making 270 and 299ft rich enough to 6200 on a 10,000 mile rebuilt L28et with no aftermarket components, he runs 13.3@108 with no traction until third gear on Drag Radials. we discussed what he could do to make more power and we both came to the same conclusion--------CAR IS DONE to make more he would have to go to standalone with more timing, bigger injectors, blah blah blah, we arent interested in standalone, to us, thats no fun at all, the fun for us is that we run a nice factory efi system with all factory components and make good power out of it, he actually isnt doing anything to the car and is considering parting it out so he can finish his talon, which with bald tires is going 13.8@98 with a dead hole. Now i know what a t3-t4 feels like, and I dont want one now, i just want a big t3 or even a stock rebuilt one that will make me boost from 2-5500---his t04b-t3 is making boost from 3-6k, and he starts goign a little lean at 6, if i can get 12psi from the t3 consistent i can make near the same power levels as the hybrid turbo car can, with a shift towards low-mid range vs. his mid to high range powerband-his car freakin flies. to those who seek more hp and go standalone with the six and turbo, more power to you its great, but at those money levels youre not far from putting a v8 into your car type expenses-and if it comes to that point for me----------I would either stop working on the car and start the body sooner, or Im gonna drop a 355 TPI with blower pistons, steel crank, pocket ported heads, and a 100shot juicy with a beefed up 200r4 and go for 11s with the AC on. just my thoughts-because i will NOT go to standalone, im keeping it nissan, and if it makes me mad enough--I WILL GO BACK TO MY FIRST LOVE, THE SBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. bfg drag radials. yes they are SMALL, but they work, 180hp and 7psi to the ground, its a slingshot!!!!!!!!
  10. hey im looking at ACT right now, and they seem to only have stuff for the 240mm flywheel, i really hope i dont have to swap it out to 240mm, i just had it resurfaced six months ago, my clutch started slipping with the dr's at 5500 or so, hard engagement not an issue for me, i like it.
  11. i like pb blaster too, i usually tap it in and let it sit for a day or so, and if its still tough i use a screwdriver and a hammer, havent had one resist that combo.
  12. early Z like 0 offset, most nissan stock rims were +10-13 depending on width, the 15x6 usually 10, the 14x5 closer to 13 to push them even with fender lip.
  13. just picked up a set last night, 225-45-14 on supra 14x7s-these things are off the hook, full boost launches are hookin, now clutch is losing
  14. hog the whole drivetrain from engine, mounts, efi, diff, cvs, and tires.
  15. i need to know as well, the muscle car wars are brewing pretty bad over here, and i can see myself getting called out pretty soon to defend the title-- i am going drag radials and im gonna need a brute savage clutch pretty soon. I like EXEDY and ACT right now, ive heard ACT uses an EXEDY clutch disc...
  16. thats a great setup to get the car up and running, and be a street killer it will suck on the freeway with the 1:1 final drive, and if you run flowmasters you will want to kill yourself because of the drone.

    To Ship A Car

get the CHUD, its a cool car.
  18. rotaries are nuts, theres a turbo2 out here that runs 12.1 on slicks and a t3 60-1 with less than 15psi-so he says. but i have seen him run 12.9 five times in a row at sears point. my man at the warehouse is building one thats gonna be faster than him on a beat up turbo 2 motor, then hes going to the twin turbo swap into it, he makes the brackets to bolt any year rotary into any year of the rx, maybe i should talk to him about seeing how it would fit into a z, i am doing an l28et in the next couple weeks and would have an empty engine bay to test fit the kits. i was talking to him about your swap- and of course being a rotary nut, he was all for it.
  19. im wondering if these will work together, i have about ten sets of these rear brakes, complete down to stub axle and control arm mounting points the lug pattern on a silvia never went to five lug except the six speed models i think. these rotors are a 4x4.5, same as a z and older 240sx in the states, im wondering if i use the ross c brackets if everything elsse would bolt up, im hoping it does, since i have twenty rotors! also, the lug studs are a big longer than stock z's , are they the same pitch as ones commonly found on the s30 series, im thinking since its all nissan they should be identical at least to a 240sx-which i do not know if it is same as z car. anyways any advice, as usual, is greatly appreciated. Len
