  1. any good rim shop could do the backspace change i believe, but man aux, you know that kills the cheap ass price you got em for right? flares would kill it too i guess-you know what, man why do good rims for these cars have to be so hard to get-then once they do, you gotta go adaptors, flares, custom, if you want bigger than 7" gawd it really sucks doesnt it?
  2. hey im getting flown to vegas on an art gig late march, end of my spring break-------------------i know you live there, but im coming to your town to eat buffet, drink, gamble, and talk like a pimp walk like a mack! love to check out your ride then, yeah?
  3. ill drop in a bone stock l28et in your car in about three days of shop time -------------------complete. im in the sf bay, ill rock out that swap quickly, mods from stock are up to you.

  6. that thing is huge, youre gonna have to gut the front of your car something fierce to get that sucker in there, but it will work extremely well. im lagging on putting mine in, i have a smaller npr, but it will be just fine for my goals with the car. are you gonna go up on the turbo as well? keep us updated on your install.
  7. i would keep that 7mgte car, its pretty cool. one of these days i would like to do a 1984 rx7 gsl se with a turbo dohc engine of some sort in it, i dont like rotaries.
  8. email me offline, ill do a turboL motor swap for you, but you have to get EVERYTHING ready before hand, about a month downtime-cant work on it everyday. Sr20et, will cost you about double, motor and trans costs more and i dont even want to touch that harness.
  9. if you messed with timing too much it would shut you out when it comes time for boost, like you were hitting some kind of special rev limiter. unless you are running aftermarket efi, then ??? do you mean surging as it will rev up in those gears but go nowhere-check your piping, fuel pump would stutter more than surge, an air leak sounds like whats going on- i think..
  10. well it seems there is no cheap way around it huh... you could always just bolt up your own zg flares and paint them black for the time being, it costs to be the boss.
  11. work would be at least 100.00 a wheel, minimum, right up therre with flares, have you contacted ccw to see if they can do it for you?

  13. he is just trying to sound like mr. PO-fessional. try this, instead of arguing with him, start asking him stuff to do to your motor, get inside the mans head, see what hes really about. in all reality, he sounds like one of those guys who thinks he can build one of those lawnmower motors to be faster than you cheaper, but you have to find that out from him by getting in his mindset, learn him out, he could be a nice guy.

  16. the other night im driving, and for some reason or another i hear a fuse pop and all my running lights go out and dash light, "no big deal" its hapened to me before right? replace the fuse, and start to driving. i turn the heater on, and it blows it out again? ok, replace it again, dont turn on the heater. keep going. drive about 30 miles, running lights go out again ok-replace them again, and its cool all night long. next night, running lights decide to go out on me again, and now the oil/water guage wont read, and one of my headlights goes dim. im troubleshooting now and about to go to the yard to grab some connectors for some lights that im in suspicion of, oh, this last time the running lights went out THE FUSE DIDNT BLOW. so now where do we go from here? i dont think there is a fusible link, im looking at the switch now, im getting my butt down to the east bay quick fast to go grab a switch and misc stuff right now, i was hoping maybe one of you guys could help me shoot this one out, just give me suggestions, im almost pulling hair out on this one!
  17. for the 2+2 spring to work back there i think its 3.5 coils cut out. i thought i liked stiff, ive grown to learn that i dont take corners fast enough to even need a stiff suspension, the closest thing i get to auto x ing is a nice tail slide every once and again.
  18. when i finally get around to changing out my original 280 springs and shocks, id probably go to euros-How low do they drop the car, im looking to drop 1-1.5" tops and go with kyb stock replacement shocks. i like the soft ride, plus im more a drag racer than a autoxer anytime of the day.

  20. wheres yours? hey im coming back to Las Vegas last week in March, my buddy is going for his last hurrah before he goes to the army. we are all flying up, should be about 15 deep, ill be the guy in all SF gear poppin his collar drinking a lot of comps playing the slots and the video games until i cop enough to hit the CRAPS baby!
