  1. If your planning on l28et, I would start here first. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/39435-help-what-brake-options-are-available-for-s30-z-cars/ http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/38499-brake-upgrade-faq/ Could be your brake problem: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/69706-reaction-disk-pictures-and-walkthrough/ The Here: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/49037-help-what-suspension-modifications-should-i-do/ Then Here: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/19918-the-ultimate-turbo-faqbeginners-guide/ http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/34469-a-quick-fi-and-ignition-280zxt-to-s30-turbo-swap-guide/ http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/82371-my-notes-on-the-na-l28-to-turbo-swap/ You can do some damage with 7,200. Just keep reading until You have figured out exactly what you want to do. Dont spend a dime until then. I have wasted a lot of money buying stuff I didnt need, and breaking things because I didn't know what I was doing(Blew my first l28et). Just keep reading through the stickies and you will surprised how much you will learn. And dont be discouraged by the people trying to give you financial advice. I dont know why they are concerned with how you spend your money, maybe have nothing better to do... I dont know. But I say go for it. Just make sure to READ! READ! READ! before you commit to buy. Just throwing these in as well: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/38615-bumpsteer-faq/ http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/38591-brake-fluid-faq/ http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/38590-coil-over-faq/
  2. If your learning by yourself, your brakes probably arent the best place to start. Make sure you pinpoint the problem first. Dont just replace the part you guess is broken and hope it fixes it. When you looked at the MC was there no fluid in the reservoir?
  3. I may have one available, Ill know by Friday, Its a p90A with hydraulic lifters. Would you be interested?
  4. I was driving through Oakland and I saw a bmw sitting in someones driveway just getting rained on . I got out of my car to see what model it was. Its a 2800cs, must be rare because i have only seen a couple ever before. I want to talk to the guy and see if its for sale but I have no idea what these are worth. I didnt find much about pricing for them. Anybody know what one would go for? Its in pretty good condition based off looking at the outside, no major dents in the body looked like it didn't have any rust problems, M/T. Ill have to take another look at it to get a better idea. Anyone here own one or have any input? Heres what the car im talking about(not the actual car)http://farm1.static.flickr.com/183/432280066_ef085e50f3.jpg?v=0
  5. I agree. So many people drink and drive its ridiculous. But It depends on who is driving the car like you said. I think the issue is way over blown. With how many innocents die a year like you said, Im willing to take my risk of driving on the road. I have never almost been creamed by a drunk driver before, but I have been almost killed by many sober drivers.... There are some people that I know that I would trust more driving a little drunk then other people I know driving completely sober.
  6. Thats actually good advice, I dont know why I haven't thought to look at that before. Good tip.
  7. Yikes thats expensive. Thanks for the link though. Now I know what the name of the part is and also that I need the part from a 77-78 ac equipped Z.
  8. Im not sure what this part is called but I finally got my heater working but then soon found out that this part started leaking. The part I circled is where its leaking from, right underneath the silver vacuum thing. I just want a whole new assembly, the other side of the part it is where the heater hoses attach from the engine bay.
  9. Buying a bike is similar to buying a car, just look for obvious things. Make sure the bike has never been down(dropped in the driveway not moving is fine). Also look at the character of the person.Even if the bike has low mileage they may have been the type of person to beat the hell out of their bike doing stunting, stoppies, wheelies ect.. Also look for a bike that is mostly stock, the more stock the better. then you get a better idea of what condition the bike is actually in. I also question people that write in their add that they just put a whole new set of after market fairings on their bike(they probably crashed it!) And I try to look for a bike with under 10,000 miles! I ride a 2001 zx6r(kawasaki) Its a great starter bike but it has its limitations. I personally like the ride of the honda's, F4i, or the 600RR. they feel really well balanced, comfortable, and I like the way they look. My brother rides a F4i, and I prefer his bike over my bike anyday, They are the same year bike but the ride quality on his is so much better. My other brother rides a 2006 gsxr600, His bike looks very nice and the models proceeding it do to. the bike simply put feels luxurious compared to other bike Ive ridden. Its very comfortable and I like the power band on it. Another bike Ive ridden is the 2005 636, I did not like it, it feels bulky, and I felt like I couldn't turn with it. had pretty decent power though. Lastly, when shopping, Take Your Time. You will score a great deal if you do, theres always one person who just puts their bike up and gets rid for cheap to sell it quickly, or someone who just started to ride and had a light crash and just wants to get rid of it. Just constantly scour craigslist. Here are some of the bikes im leaning towards as my next bike, maybe you will see something you like. http://www.dieselstation.com/pics/2009-Kawasaki-Ninja-ZX-6R-bike-wallpapers.jpg http://www.2wheelkits.com/images/2008_4_GSX-R600_BlackMatte2.jpg http://www.redracingparts.com/images/fiberglass/honda/CBR600RR2007.jpg http://www.motorcyclenews.com/upload/211443/images/Honda%20CBR600RR%20ABS.jpg
  10. My Z car had been sitting in the driveway my entire life. When it came time to drive, I had no car so my parents asked if I wanted to drive the datsun. I really didn't want it but being 16 and desperate to drive and not really having any other options I agreed. Got it started after replacing the fuel pump. Then I started to look at pictures online and realized how dope this car was. I decided I would redo the interior and paint it....about 4 years later its still not painted Now that I think about it I could have had a pretty sweet looking e36 by now( with all the money Ive spent on the z), but I wouldn't know the first thing about a car. Amazing what a change a car can make in your life, anyways... I have been working in construction for a while. Dropped out of school and have no plans to go back. Future plans are for me and my brothers to buy a house in a couple years(or whenever the market hits absolute rock bottom) and fix it up.
  11. This is actually pretty funny. That guy really screwed himself big time.
  12. No use for an A/T, what I really need is a non webbed intake manifold, preferably non egr. Have any of those forsale?
  13. Not taking sides or anything lol But that was pretty funny, just saying. On another note, You guys are being to sensitive. I just want everyone to know there is a damn RHD Z forsale I want someone to buy it before I Do. Cough: Or If someone wants to go halfsys on it and let me grab the engine and tranny
  14. Yup Basically I mean...I think thats a risk im willing to take. What about a mailman, I never hear of them constantly getting into accidents. I have have an excellent sense of boundaries. And I find all of these risks to be minimal at best. Thanks
  15. Well I disagree with you, I think the 2+2's are pretty cool and I wouldn't mind owning one(especially a RHD), plus if your gonna use a z as mainly a daily driver i would take a 2+2 over a coupe any day. And I dont know why you bring up it being difficult to drive? I think you woould have any problems with visibility with a RHD seeing as I literally have no blind spots in my Z, I dont know about yours... I just dont really see it being a safety issue, and besides If I was worried about safety that much, I wouldn't be riding my motorcycle. Anyways some should get this, like I said the car is pretty much complete, dash only has a few small cracks, all the gauges are there, the interior is in good shape ect. If I wasn't broke and didn't have two Z's already, this would already be mine.
  16. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/2021873224.html Its a 2+2 Someone should buy this car. I went to go see it today. I really wanted to buy it but it has some damage to rear taillight panel and right rear quarter panel. Car looked pretty solid and complete otherwise. Engine looked like it was in pretty good shape. I didn't see any major rust(didnt get a look under the car) Guy is asking like 500 for it. Somebody should go get it, there aren't to many RHD Z's laying around.
  17. Ya I feel the same way! I hate it lol. Ive actually given up using it completely and stick to just using google. Has anybody else found any better way of searching since the new board?
  18. Ya I know what you mean, they try and charge you for everything, Ex: wiring harness, AFM, ECU, TURBO ect. I paid $405 for the complete engine(except the turbo, It was gone) all the electrnics, wiring, and transmission. If they had charged me for everything the total would have come closer to around $700 or more.
  19. Its at the Oakland JY PickAndPull, I already pulled the engine and tranny But everything else is there. Just letting everyone know in case they need anything. Its was built in 10/82 has the digital gauges.
  20. hmm, maybe I could have worded what I wrote differently. But I guess what I was trying to say is I have no idea what the hell he was asking.
  21. Well my opinion is that Jerry brown sucks, but Meg whitmen looks like chucky(The killer doll) so she dcant be trusted. I vote mickey mouse. Oh im sorry what was your question
  22. Hey your pic is really blurry, Is that an F4i?
