  1. Are you sure your rear calipers are bled all the way? I remember my rears wouldn't bleed properly until I actually unbolted the calipers to turn them at a different angle while bleeding them to get all of the air out.
  2. Had the same problem, I tightened the push rod a few turns, never had the problem again. Im running 240sx and toy vented.
  3. well you dont have to pay it, but I bet they will hold your transcript or whatever if you dont.
  4. If you could make metal 240z bumpers at an affordable price, that would be cool. I wouldn't care for them to be chromed.
  5. reading the fsm is a great start. Once you read how the efi system works on this car its much easier to diagnose problems. I would start with checking the fuel pressure, Are you running to rich or lean. Also make sure to clean every electrical connections in the engine bay. I would also just go ahead and replace the water temp sensor. do the plugs wires and all of that. look for vacuum leaks! if you said the hoses look like they have been messed with that could be the problem.
  6. I would buy another but this is a turbo pan, and they are usually a little bit pricey imo.
  7. My oil pan is very uneven causing me to lose a lot of oil because of a bad seal. The oil pan had been screwed in to tightly leaving the oil pan surface very uneven. Any advise for how I should go about making the surface flat again?

  10. This is hilarious, Keep the pics coming. What is your plan on getting your phone back....Personally I wouldnt worry about getting it back if it were me, I would start pulling pranks on their house everyday. I would start off with something like posting an add on craigslist selling all of thier stuff, And make sure to tell them they have to come at 6Am.

  12. Im getting the feeling that there is more than one thing wrong with your car. It not starting after warmed up sounds like a bad ground to me. As for it running lean, have you checked fuel pressure, your injectors, vacuum leaks, timming, sensors, AFM ect.
  13. Check and clean the connection on your water temp sensor. Its right next to the thermo time switch. I bet thats what your problem is.
  14. It seems like no matter what there is always a problem with the Z. Finally after two long years I finally have my car running great mechanically! After doing countless things to my car As of tonight its finally running perfect, And I mean perfect! The last problem was a clogged up fuel pump which was keeping me stumped for about a week now until l I hooked up a fpg. So now, since I have my car running I decided to take it for a spin. My brother is driving a 328i 2003 bmw and where getting on the freeway onramp starting from 0. We say "What the hell, Lets see who's is quicker 0-60" we take off. Were pretty even untill I hit about 5,000. Right as I pull to shift my friend in the car goes "WTF!" and see's me holding my shift lever in the air, As my engine just revs to 6K plus. I coudnlt believe it, What are the chances that the day I finally get my car running the shifter breaks. I wasnt evem mad. Me and my friend started laughing. It seems like no matter what, somethihng is going to break on this car. This was an after market short shifter, so thats probably why it broke but I got a good laugh out of it so I thought I would share. I just think its funny how no matter what, something goes wrong.

  16. Im in the bay area and I have one. Its never been tested, I got it as spare parts with the 280zx I bought a while back.
  17. Its pretty expensive. Go to modernmotorsports.com All you really need are the custom brackets for the calipers. The 240sx calipers can easily be got from a junkyard and the z31 300zx rotors are cheap enough brand new.
  18. You can use auto in manual, but not manual in auto.
  19. Ya, my vote is the AFM. If The AFM you get doesn't solve the problem then you should go with the 300zx ecu and MAF swap. Its super easy to do and my car is running so much better since I swapped it in.
