  1. I had to use a 2.5" 45 off the turbo to a 2.5 to 3" increaser to a 3" 45 and then a sweep 90 at the bottom.Two 3" 45's wouldnt fit on my 240 with 78 5 speed.
  2. The lighter ga. stock is fine if you can form some stiffening ribs into the panel.Thats how the factories can get away with the thin stock but a flat sheet is going to oilcan with welding and other stresses.
  3. If the transmission is out of the car, make sure you mention that the tranny mount bar should be in place while replaceing the floor pans to ensure that the tranny tunnel doesnt get pushed close. It sux finding out later when reinstalling the trans and it wont fit.
  4. charley at zedfindings makes an excelent floor and Baddog parts sells seat brackets and rails for first gen Z's
  5. Everyone should have speed bleeders in their car. They make brake bleeding a fast one man job and they're under $30 for the set of 4.
  6. Is that a squirel in front of you in that pic between turn 2-3?Limerock is a fun track for sure but I'm looking forward to Watkins Glenn a t the next convention. In that first pic you can see a chickane at the top of the hill. That was added after Steve Millen nearly burned to death in a nasty crash while cresting that hill and getting air.Imagine how fast he must have been going to have looped it.
  7. I don think its such a bad fab job.He has polished the welds on the exterior and without that much weld penetration (bead on the interior)it would be prone to cracking at the seams.I cant comment on flow characteristics or any other aspects but I wouldnt think that bead would have any negetive effects.
  8. Dont cut the floor pan unless you have to.The rail can be seperated from the pan leaving the pan intact.
  9. Usually you just cap the originals with 12 ga mild steel.Jack it up and have at it with a tape measure.Sketch up what you think you need, all dimensions should be shown as inside dimenssions because whatever you have made will need to fit over the old rails. This is the easy way and will last for a while. The better, harder more expensive way is to cut the old rails out and have them duplicated.I make rail caps for 1st gen Z's and sell them thru "Bad Dog Parts" but I dont have patterns for a ZX.
  10. Dang...I almost sqirted a few too.
  11. Aint it cool 8) I'll never forget my first ride in the 240 turbo...I'm still smilin.
  12. How about drilling some holes right under the bolts thru the floorpan.Make them large enough to pass the socket thru but sized to accept a std snap-in plug similar to the stock plugs.I know it sux putting holes in your ride but sometimes you gotta do....
  13. Have you considered the weight of the rino liner matl as compared to epoxy only?Nice shop...
  14. Go light with that sandblaster or you"ll have warped panels and lots more work.
  15. WOW theres nothing "regular" about your car.Nice job
  16. Pull em and send them to Gordon at WhitchHunter performance inWA.He'll clean them flow them and return them with a complete report within a couple of days. He's the man...
  17. How ever many els you think you need, get 50% more for errors. They're cheap and it will save time and shipping in the end.
  18. What did you find out about those Motorcraft Injectors you got.Last, you were going to get them flow tested to confirm size. Thanks
  19. It can be done either way, however its concidered a better setup to re-circulate that air back into the system.Mine vents to the atmosphere because of the type of BOV I bought (no provisions for re-circ).Its supposed to help keep your turbo spooled.I see your from Framingham,I'm from Pepperell just south of Nashua. There will be some fine Z's at the car show in Manchester NH this sat by the Verizon ctr down town.Come on up if you can make it and say hello.Brad
