  1. I bought loom from a local auto parts store. I have no idea of the material it's made of. I suppose nylons would work. I prefer fishnets. http://cableorganizer.com/loom-tool/
  2. Welcome! How does it feel to have the only classic car in the UK that has a reliable electrical system?
  3. The "ugly" suspension on the rear of an S30 is probably more stout than you think. Plenty of people running high HP through these. Of course it depends on how you plan on using the car.
  4. Alfa Romeo was a company closely tied to Ferrari in terms of engineering in the early stages of the two companies. The "Hemi" was used by the two companies long before "Hemi" became a household name. Here is one of the last revisions of the Alfa Romeo motor in V8 form used in the 1970 Montreal. All aluminum, hemi, quad cam, sodium valves, cross-flow, dual distributors, and dual mechanical fuel injection. . More Info: http://www.alfamontreal.info/
  5. I just want to add these to my list of favorites...Ferarri FXX footage!
  6. Make sure you get the wire guide tool that helps you to zip wires into the loom.
  7. My oil company just yanked $4.44/gal out of my pocket for home heating oil.
  8. He must have used wirelss technology. Is that the Bluetooth L28?
  9. It's ok, because I always wear glasses with a fake nose and mustache in real life.
  10. This is where I got my comprehensive brake care/bedding knowledge: http://www.baer.com/technical/braking-202/index.php
  11. I just want to add to step 4. Allow at least 15 minutes for brake system to cool down. While Driving Never stop, or park a car with hot brakes.
  12. Congrats...remember, a Z is a living document, it's never finished.
  13. The Ferrari FXX uses this principle. They use body aerodynamics to "pull" exahust out of the tailpipes. The tail pipes exit at the rear top edge of the back.
  14. Update: The vagabond Dell rep that read my post on the Dell forums called me today and offered me a free motherboard to replace my dead one. It's not the upgrade that they had performed for free for many XPS700 owners but it is a resolution that is reasonable. I should not have had to make as much noise as I did to get that kind of service. Moral of the story: If you own a Dell and have an issue that you feel is a legitimate fault of theirs, post it on the direct2dell.com forums. Don't wait on hold, or pay for a telephone based service tech in India.
  15. BLING BLING BLING!!! Really Nice! Very clean. Is that a stainless diff mount? Classy!
  16. Hey maybe that's why yours and Chris's tires were slipping on the dyno so much.
  17. Gollum, what Mobo are you using? The Dell rep, sent me another email on Friday saying that he would get back to me on Monday, today. No word yet.
  18. Somewhat ol' school but perfectly tasty in my book: http://www.racetep.com/weber/v8webnew.htm
  19. ? ...umm maybe...he went back and put clutch in there after I guessed "clutch" OK you got me.... Lemme go back and re-read... OK I re-read the thread and I want to change my guess to "differential".
  20. Call or email Pallnet and tell them what bore you need and he might make it to spec. JSK made mine to spec at no extra charge.
  21. What fenders are those? The flares don't seem stock. Very nice Z car!
  22. Yes it's a BTX motherboard. 1)try to find one 2)try to find one that works with all the Dell bells and whistles built into the case 3)impossible Here is the case that I really like and want to stick with. UPDATE: I posted my dilemma on the Direct2Dell.com forum and a "Dell Outreach" employee emailed me saying that he read my post, and told me he was looking into my situation. Fingers crossed.
  23. Solder if done properly will hold. Epoxy might work OK also. Just make sure there is a good point of electrical contact. Personally, I would find a peice of metal in the garage and make the part over again in a vice using a file and a drill. The I would drill out the old rivet, and rivet in the new part I made.
  24. This XPS700 had enough legs to go at least another two years on gaming. I am going to repair it best I can and leave it at that. I have ALWAYS built my own rigs until this one. The very reason I bought this Dell was because the rig I was using that I built, better than this Dell, bit the dust and my wife was pregnant on full time bed rest for six months. I had ZERO time between work and caretaking that when my rig died, I called Dell for backup. I figured I would part out my rig. That's the ONLY reason I didn't build. Boy am I sorry. I wanted plug-n-play, no issues, full tech support, you know, easy street so I could get on with my life. This PC became the exact opposite of what I bought it for.
