  1. Fun stuff isn't it? I remember those days and I can't wait for my son to get older so I can do it all over again with him.
  2. If you are lucky enough to have the HDTH channel. 727 on the Optimum network or also on Voom, there is a good documentary/movie on tonight called "Birth of a Racer" . "The next revolution in motorcycle engineering is here. Racer, architect and design daredevil Michael Czysz is on a mission to build a world-class, made in America, superbike capable of competing at the Laguna Seca round of MotoGP. Motivated by a lack of innovation on the part of major manufacturers, Czysz has taken matters into his own hands. His ultimate goal is to create a high performance street bike for the man on the street that will directly compete with elite Japanese and Italian companies. This outsider uses fresh ideas and innovative technology to achieve a stunning new level of motorcycle performance. Watch Michael Czysz put his new generation C1 prototype to the ultimate test." It's on at 8pm est on the HDTH channel. http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=31001 http://www.discoverychannel.com.au/ontv/birth_racer/index.shtml
  3. Sounds good. Does anyone know if the Megasquirt internal MAP sensor can output MAP signal to one of these progressive meth kits? Or is it best to install another dedicated MAP sensor, as L280z did.
  4. I think that should find a new home on your Z's dashboard. Anyone else agree? It's a nice contrast to the Blueoval Z. You get all the chicks.
  5. Big Phil inspired me to do more research into water/meth injection and I think I want it in my car as I explore higher boost levels this summer. I found this relatively affordable system.... http://www.aquastealth.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=239 BUT what the deal with this..... http://www.aquastealth.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=252 Please tell me this isn't an online drug dealer hiding behind water/meth injection systems...call me Naive, but I am not up on drugs and stuff.
  6. I don't think it hurts this photo. As a matter of fact, if the lighting was perfect on this shot, it would become boring and just another shot. The harsh lighting gives it some dramatic bite.
  7. "cosmetic restoration"? Flaws I see: Dash cap. Banged up front bumper, nasty e-brake handle Poor chrome on the rear bumper If there is NO rust, 15K is not too bad a price but certainly not a steal.
  8. Mine made more torque than HP back when I was on the stock EFI. 265whp/300tq at 15psi. I had a horribly restrictive intake filter, and stock turbo injectors and injection. I was also limited to about 5000rpm due to fueling maxing out. I haven't dyno'd since megasquirt, large injectors, bigger turbo, and better breating filter but I suspect I am in the same area as Phil right now. Albeit, I don't run more than 15psi yet....still tuning, no meth. OK, My point is that an air flow restriction will bump the torque relative to the HP numbers. Great videos! Proud to see some nasty turbo Z cars laying down large numbers.
  9. I want royalties. I use Mobile One in my Z.
  10. Wow lots of garages with houses on that street! Welcome back, now change your sig before the new owner of your old car comes by.
  11. I agree, they priced it about 6K too high for what it is. But for one, it's very easy to make 400HP+ with it, and two, I didn't pay for it and I get to drive it.
  12. Nice story...now go make a good ending.
  13. He is already planning on adding a Vishnu tune to his 135i. It's about an $800 upgrade that yields about 80 more ponies. Not bad!
  14. My friend just sold his STI and ordered the 2008 135i. It should be here in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to drive it. Twin Turbos.
  15. The lighting really works on that one Ron. Nice.
  16. Wow that is clean! You're right, those wheel studs are strange. I wonder why they were switched to the long studs by the previous owner.
  17. Thanks, it was fun making the video but I agree that it needs to lead into some tire smoke and/or high speed action, with some rock and roll. Next time. It's a '76 Paul, good eye.
  18. I made this video after being inspired by some great artists on Vimeo. Too bad I didn't notice the mosquito stuck to the hood badge until the video was done. Fire the editor!
  19. Yes, photos! How high will the Z banner be raised? I'm dying to see.
  20. If it's the same as what we used to have, it works great. Ours was convection AND microwave all in one. You could use it either or. I made the best apple turnovers in convection mode. In mocrowave mode it was, a regular microwave. You could also combine the two functions to get fast cooking but still crispy cooking from the convection part. If it's a good model, you will like it. Don't skimp. Ours lasted about 15 years until the magnetron got too weak to boil a cup of water in three minutes. I believe ours was a SHARP brand.
  21. This is an old thread but I just had the windshield replaced in my DD and I really like the look of clean, brand new glass. I never did have the Z windshield changed, but I bought an Eastwood Glass polishing kit. I am going to try it out this weekend and will keep you posted of the results.
  22. I know everything. If you don't believe me, just ask me. Seriously, never take just ONE source for info without questioning. Read other opinions, other angles, other possible solutions, or heaven forbid, the manual...it's not always obvious. In the end...use your head.
  23. This is a factory installed, original, 110K mile, Nissan gasket that held for five years with the factory ECU and injectors at 15psi!!! I installed Megasquirt, mis-tuned (learning process), and the gasket blew at about 13psi. No blaming gaskets here.
