  1. He was so upset to hear that Harley closed the Buell factory that he had to go out and buy a tenth bike! Yes, he and his wife share 10 bikes. His last Buell was about as fast as my Z. I think I will need more help to keep up with this one! It is very light, under 400lbs, and has about 150hp. This one has a Rotax engine in it.
  2. Look familiar? This is Buzz's car. The wheels came off a late 80's Supra. He runs spacers and welded Corvette studs up front. This was done before Nissan invented a Quest. The Quest option looks like a much nicer solution.
  3. Why not? Textured cars instead of just painted. I think it could be a great innovation in style and function.
  4. Sailplanes and airplanes can use "zig-zag tape" along the span of the wing. It has to be placed in the right spot on the airfoil to move the separation point further back on the wing.
  5. Yup. The engine designer from Ferrari, quit and started working for Alfa.
  6. As I understand it: The dimples cause the boundry air to stagnate "stick to the ball". The moving air slides better over the trapped "air skin" and it also "sticks" to the boundry layer, causing it to follow the contour, leading to a smaller wake zone.
  7. The sphere shape of a golf ball does not make it aerodynamic. The sphere is a poor aero shape. The dimples decrease the drag by reducing the separation "wake" area behind the ball. Besides, people already have trouble driving. Imagine if they were hooking and slicing all over the road too!! Yikes.
  8. Take notice that those are hemi heads on there. Not "HEMI" heads, but hemi, as was invented long before dodge grabbed the title. LOL.
  9. That's that new sport called Unsynchronized Elvis'ing.
  10. I still like Corey Martinez's style the best. I grew up doing this stuff as was being invented 25 years ago and I like how Corey uses whatever he can find, like we did. I have posted this one here before but I will again. Why not, it's not like it costs anything to :/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrUiGIIklS4
  11. This investment is finally paying off. Prices going up again. It's funny to see the old prices at the pump.
  12. Good save! Do you drive with your lights on? I find that my headlights earn me about 40% more respect from other drivers. They pull out in front of me much less when I am approaching them. Even when they see me, they give me more distance. I think the lights make it look like I am approaching faster than I am, and they wait.
  13. Happy Birthday! Here is some shiny stuff for you.
  14. If you haven't yet, head on over to our new club to hook up with locals. We have plenty members in the NJ area. http://www.nyzcc.org Car looks great.
  15. Here is the mental video I have of Big Phil knocking the guy out and taking the keys! (Of course Big Phil would be a bit smoother on the throttle). http://www.kewego.com/video/iLyROoafYrWh.html This makes you FEEL the Ferrari. http://www.kewego.com/video/iLyROoafYrWk.html
  16. Nice cars. Even if they are over-priced. They were always ahead of their time, pushing the envelope. Ferrari's used to be the Hybridz's of the 40's, 50's, and 60's. Factory built, lightweight, with stupid big motors.
  17. Great power! I can't wait to see what else you can get out of that engine.
  18. To clarify I meant stock turbo injectors support 250+ rwhp with increased fuel pressure. I run ford 440cc injectors at stock fuel pressure with msII.
  19. Joe's personal garage has turned out more Z's that weren't Joe's than Joe has. Huh? What did I say? I guess you didn't get the PC fixed yet? Clive, sorry I couldn't call you back tonight. We were in a "dead zone" all night somewhere in Danbury, CT.
  20. The best method I have found for installing the headlight covers with the three aluminum brackets and sticky tape is as follows: This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE BEHIND" method. No drilling, no paint damage, and no slow peeling of the brackets over time, like you get with the foam tape in the kits. 1 Throw away the sticky tape or stick it to your forehead. 2 Get some clear paint protection film. 3M stuff ( http://www.xpel.com) 3 Cut 2"x 1" pieces if the protection film and stick them to the headlight bucket exactly where the brackets will mount. 4 Line up each bracket EXACTLY where it will need to go and mark the location on the film, lightly, with a pencil. 5 Get some CA adhesive, modelers version of crazy glue. SPRAY-ON-CA-Kicker helps to set the glue up instantly. 6 Clean the brackets and the film on the car with alcohol. Brush the base of the bracket with the CA glue and place it on the marks, hold it until the glue sets. Or spray it with the Kicker for instant set. DO NOT GET CA GLUE OR ITS FUMES NEAR YOUR PAINT, CLEAR COVERS, OR ON YOUR FINGERS. BE NEAT AND VERY CAREFUL. MASK OFF AROUND THE MOUNT POINTS FOR SAFETY FROM RUNAWAY GLUE. Done. The glue holds the brackets to the film really well, the film holds to the paint really well. If you ever need to remove the brackets, just peel off the film and there is no trace left on the paint. You can grind the CA glue off the brackets after you peel them off the car, if you need to re-position them or reuse them later. They are on ROCK SOLID...it's so good, I should patent the method!
  21. There is a clear path for fumes to enter the car. Up the "hatch latch hole" and into the cabin through the vinyl panel under the hatch. The vinyl panel is no where near airtight. Remove the vinyl panel, put a bead of sealant around the opening, seal off the opening with a sheet of plastic, reinstall the vinyl panel. This eliminates one more path.
  22. Keep us posted! I would like to play with it too once I knew what it was good for.
