  1. I tried to start a thread on this, but it ended up going nowhere. Really, the only thing possible to do with it is to control spool times. This could be very interesting to try out, but it will take quite a bit of fondling to get right. I would try it if I had a project car, along with notching my cylinder head.
  2. I went with a 2.5 inch straight pipe with headers and I REALLY noticed a difference in low end, BIG lose. Every N/A motor needs some back pressure, and just like a SBC, there is a sweet spot to place the muffler for peak performace. Keep doing some research on back pressure before you make your decision. I wish I had put in a muffler, but I'm going turbo, so no need to change up now.
  3. I have been skating for about 8 years now and have shifted towards hill riding. What material are they made out of? Does the axle go all the way through the hanger? If you need someone to test a set, I will pay for shipping and be as rough on these suckers as I can be(under normal riding conditions). I will also provide great feedback!
  4. They are off a 1998 Tiburon. You have to break the housing off from around the projector and then unscrew them out.
  5. The projector housing is by no means "Top Notch" material. I will be searching the yard again for a higher quality projector. The light spread from the one bulb was about as bright as when I had my previous setup with both lights functioning. I am also going to go with a 3000k, which is brighter then the ones I have now. If I can find some more housings to make a few pairs to sell, they will be made with greater craftsmanship involved, as this was my first attempt and have found a few flaws in my work. Yes there is a converter being used. The ballasts are separate.
  6. As usual, nothing goes as planned. One of my bulbs burnt out after installation so I have to order some new ones. I will get some night pics up soon in a week or two. If I find any more projector housings, would anyone be interested in buying a pair of lenses if I make them?
  7. I envy you Yasin, If you don't know what to do with it, you can always send it to me!
  8. I got the projectors for $14! If I can find some more I will try and make a few pairs to sell.
  9. As I was wondering through the new junk yard today looking for a Z31 ECU and MAF, I stumbled along some projector housing in a Hyundai Tiburon. I figured these would work great to put in my crappy ebay $30 lenses. So i cut out the insides of the housings and made the whole big enough for the new lens to slide through. I added some door trim to the edge of the exposed housing to make it fit snug. Then I slid the new lens in and it fit snug. Luckily the headlight bracket holds the lens nice and tight when everything is put together So I did not really need to make something to secure it to the housing. I will get some night pics up tomorrow after I make the other one.
  10. That connects to the vacuum advance on your distributor.
  11. It kinda looks like this one but with lights on the bottom too.
  12. Might I ask why you are interested in this question? Is there something that you are basing this concern off of? I don't think that we have enough information to stake a claim because the same level of technology would wield the same amount of horse power in any motor. I.E. if you have the level of technology to make a 500hp V12 then you must also have a level of technology to produce a 500hp V8. Although I want to contradict myself from that statement because I understand what you are trying to say. I guess I just need an example. But I think it all depends on the combination of stroke, compression, friction, and centrifugal resistance.
  13. I was thinking more along the lines of a magical Hover Cat....Just imagine what BRAAP would look like on a glass table!
  14. The admins are clever, but are their minds strong enough to do this?
  15. If you are talking about the tubes at the bottom of the TB, than that is for coolant to pass through to warm the TB. There is a bump stop type screw on the TB that adjusts how open the TB is at idle. Adjust the screw to open the TB to adjust your idle.
  16. Have you checked your fuel pressure with a gauge? Have you tested all of your sensors?
  17. Or if I can find an engine dyno to tune the motor on, then I could probably swap it in a day.
  18. I have a few questions here. 1- How many people have a secondary car that they drive when the Z is down? 2- If you do not have another car to drive, how do you find time to do any modifications to your Z with having a full time job? I am asking because I DD my ZX and am planning a turbo swap. I am working full time and I don't know when I will have time to swap and tune over half a Saturday and a full Sunday.
  19. You must have needed to use a stick of dynamite in the wheel to get that bead seated!
  20. There should still be fuel pressure in the lines after you turn the car off, so pulling the lines will cause fuel to spray into the air(I know from first hand experience). There could be a vacuum leak. Have you changed anything on the engine? Any upgrades?
  21. This is absolutely awesome! When I saw the first pics of what you were doing I thought it was going to be ugly. Now that you have "rounded" out the sides a bit, I really like the look. You should do a similar look for the rear. Take out the tails and weld the recessed area flat so you have a sunk in look like the front. Then add in some round tail lights. This is just how I envision the rear end looking. I'm sure you have plans for the rear, right? Hats off to you man! Adam Silver
  22. I thought it might have been, I was just too lazy to double check.
  23. That's exactly what I was thinking!
