  1. These darn competition hood scoops keep coming up this week! Its fate trying to remind me that I can't find one! Mind if I ask where you got yours?
  2. Yessir! I keep telling myself I'm going to have an engine good enough looking for a show car, and powerfull enough for... Well.. Powerfull enough for me to have more fun than the law typically allows... ...Just need more money to make it all happen! Edit: All the billet tid-bits really help, keep em' comin!, keep em' comin!
  3. Gah!! I know mine is waiting for me at home, but I'm going to be out of town for a month! Derek, what size bolts am I going to need for this thing? Or do they come with bolts? I think I'm going to switch them out eventually to match the titanium ( yeah I know) bolts I want for my valve cover, so I guess I need the size either way...
  4. Could just run lexan windows with clear naca ducts... little bit more of a race flavor than scoops...
  5. How about the Datsun Competition Hood Scoop? I had given up trying to find one, but a recent thread got me all worked up again...
  6. Looking pretty good... have any pictures of the dash before you covered it? I've started working on mine and the cracks are clean through the dash. Its going to take alot of work to get this thing back into shape...
  7. Surprised this hasn't come up yet... this is what you should do!
  8. Subscribed; I've already got the 4x4 calipers, but if I could keep everything Nissan I might just go this route...
  9. Really going to pop if you run red/blue AN fittings with braided lines ... bright blue samco hoses might go with it too...
  10. Its whimming, whining would be in all caps, and would be in PM form (By the way, check your messages, I PM'd you) Transfering money to PP, payment should be sent out in a few days!
  11. Start whimming about steering column cover with a gauge pod, I need one of those...
  12. Derek, They all look great, Especially the far right one! Thats actually the sort of effect I'm going for with the all black one, but I will be using paint so I can color match it to the body So whats the price out the door so I can transfer money to PP?
  13. The one you posted was the last iteration of that brace, and have worked for others so they should be fine. There are earlier ones (aluminum, single bolt on either side, etc) but that ones good to go. Can't hurt to double check by measuring on your own car, but they should be the same where it matters.
  14. If its steal throw me on the list! Can't get anything south of $110 from the local machine shops, so thats a great price.
  15. Can't seem to find the original thread anymore, but if you PM Savage42 he should be able to tell you more about it. MM seems to be the only other choice, (short of having one machined) but getting ahold of them seems to be a real exercise in patience...
  16. If you follow the original development thread that those designs are posted on there were failures when aluminum was used. The weight difference to steal was pretty negligible considering it isn't all that big, but it does have to handle a fair amount of stress.
  17. I was thinking the same thing... Just how many projects do you have on the back burner?
  18. You could just buy some fuel rail stock and have it machined. There's even instructions and a diagram with dimensions in the fabrication section: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/84860-o-ring-fuel-rail-fabrication/ I'm going to be doing this in the next few weeks. I'm afraid I just don't have the overhead to have a bunch made, otherwise I would offer to sell you one...
  19. Not likely, the anodizing process covers the entire piece in a thin layer of black oxide, and the silver Z is obtained by sanding through this thin layer. To get a black Z would require some pretty intricate and intensive sanding work... But then again, Derek aparently charges less when you have him do more work, so you might be able to work it out for free with that much work!
  20. Put me down for a black one, not sanded down (all black Z and everything) Thanks!
  21. Sooo... I'm guessing your going this route instead of making your own?
  22. AtlantaZ, looks like that solution is here? Still going to produce a few? I would like to see what yours looks like, and if you go ahead and make some to sell I've already said I would buy one, and I stick by that. Derek, amazing looking stuff as always. Mind if I ask where you get your anodizing done? I've got a small pile of aluminum bits stacking up that I would like to get done, but have yet to find anything local to me, or that didn't cost a small fortune in some far away city. Thanks.
  23. You can modify one to use the KA tps pretty easy... Just a simple drill and tap, and there's plenty of meat to drill into. That's what I'm doing to mine for MegaSquirt.
  24. Found this picture on the internet the other day and thought of this thread. The countersunk holes are what I would be looking for (makes it look really professional), and you can imagine a nice border around the edge along with a Z or something engraved. Question; would you do the engraving after the powder coating so it shows up in raw aluminum, or before the powder coat? Have you thought about anodizing it? looks really good with engraving and is a little more durable than powder I would imagine. EDIT: Here's what I would like to see border wise... If you could make one up like this with the countersunk holes you would have 1 guaranteed sold.
