I love your 2+2, There has been a few really cool builds for 2+2's lately. I would do a build thread for mine but I'm too lazy and too busy.

EDIT: Nevermind I just went ahead and bought the Logitech Driving force for now, Eventually I will probably buy the G27 with the shifter and clutch. I have played for a little bit and its hard to get used to the steering wheel at first but I will get better with time. I haven't had too much time to check out the fine details of the game but overall its pretty cool.

I'm considering buying it to use on my bro's PS3 and buying a steering wheel/pedal setup along with it.

I bet that money is from a drug dealer that used to own the car in the 80's . I wish I had found cash in my car when I bought it all I found was a Non-EGR intake and some other parts. My bonus for my car was that it used to be a track/drag car and had all the rust repaired and new frame rails . Also is that the rustolem green? It looks like it and those are some wide rims.

What size wheels and tires are those? the Rears seem to fit perfect without any stretch and still have a decent sidewall. Love the color and flares too they look great.

I didn't do anything today, But a few days ago I ordered some Bumpsteer spacers, some Z books, Fidanza Flywheel, and Hopefully a BRE style rear wing this weekend. Then I will be saving up for some Tokico adjustable shocks, Dual friction clutch, and The modern Motorsports Rear brake brackets. Then ASAP some 16x10 and 16x9 Diamond racing wheels and some tires then a whole bunch more off the list of endless parts including Manual swap.

Well I see 16 in rims used on Minivans all day long and they are usually about 225/50/16 or somewhere in that area some other small SUV's also use 16's that I see during the day at work. -

I have been considering 15's I will have to do some more research, Thanks for the tip on the 15's and I do plan on buying some adjustable Illuminas. My reasoning with the 16's is that it would fill up slightly more room then the 15 would and leave a medium tire size instead of having too much tire with the 15 to have to fill it up. I have some more researching to do. -
Also my weapon of choice, I shall win over the robber/murderer/mugger/whatever's heart with a small dog and shooting sounds. But in all seriousness, I think it depends on the area you live in if you need a gun or not. Where I live the neighborhoods are alright a lot of druggies and homeless, but I keep a Baseball bat within reach in the garage for when I am working on the car late at night Besides if someone felt the need to pull a gun on me over something like a car or money I would rather give it to them then have the chance that I would get shot trying to shoot them or trying to resist. A car or money isn't worth my life but thats just my opinion and I respect that some may feel differently.

I'm doing ZG flares, I said earlier I would do flares I know I have too and I want too, Plus I know you have to slightly stretch tires to fit on wide 16's. I plan on buying some 245/50/16's They won't be stretched in the front but just slightly stretched in the back If I can find the same brand tire to match the 245's I will try to put 255's or 265's on the rear but they are harder to find. Plus I am not slamming my car I have some eibach lowering springs I just bought and that will be it. The rota's don't have to be stretched to work on a Z if you put flares on your car and if you don't put flares on and still want to run the wide rotas then you shouldn't buy them in the first place. -

Thanks, I must have not seen your post, I will check them out. Do you know if they have the D-window design? Their site layout is a bit hard to figure out and a bit distracting. I'm not sure if the D-window design would look good that large either, It would look stretched out and weird. I saw some 16 inch diamonds and thats pushing it. Thanks for the info though. -
Thats pretty good, I would be happy with that kind of gas milage, Mine isn't even driving yet. The more I hear about the 1jz the more I like it, I think thats what I will swap in when I do my swap down the road. I might go N/A 2jz though I'm not sure I will have to do some more research but anyways Have fun with your Z sounds like its really fun to drive.

After some research and checking out tires, I think I'm just going to go with Diamond racing 16 inch rims. The only reason I really wanted to get 17" rims was because I thought tires would be cheaper and easier to find. After checking out Crazyoctopus's setup with his diamond racing rims, I figured I should be fine and since I work at Discount tire I can get some tires for cheaper anyways. As I said before weight isn't a huge issue with me but I like the style of the D-window design and it will go with the scheme of my car a lot better then rotas would be, Plus Crazyoctopus paid $515 to his door for his 15x10's and 15x9's I'm sure the 16's will be a bit more expensive but it still might be better then paying the $750 for the rotas. I also like the "look" of wider tires more then low profile tires. I may get flamed for that but I have changed low pros before and they aren't fun at all. My car will not be driven hard and at high speeds, I only drive about 6 miles a day if that. it will just be a fun cruiser with some little mods here and there and an eventual swap. I guess I'm going for the Medium weight/price wheel. Once I get my 2+2 on the ground and ready to roll out of the garage I will for sure take pictures. -
What are you getting for mileage with your 1jz sketch? Meph is getting around 30-35 with his I think.

I think there have been threads about this before, but anyways on the 2+2 S30 everything is swappable forward of the dash (already mentioned) The doors are longer on the 2+2 the interior from the doors back is different, the suspension is the same except I believe the sway bars are larger. The diff is swappble but the Mustache bar is not it is wider then a coupe mustache bar. The tail lights will swap but the tail light panels are wider and have a different shape. The rear quarter panels are longer between where the door ends and the wheel well starts, its also wider in the rear quarters then on the coupe. If all you need is stuff for the front of your car and some suspension it would be fine for a parts car then you could sell the stuff you can't use to us 2+2 guys.

The s30's doors aren't as thin as you think, I have seen a lot of modern cars with about the same width doors. Plus My 73' Super beetle has got it beat by inches when it comes to how "thin" the door is. IMO there wouldn't have to be so much safety equipment in cars today if people were better drivers and had to go through more training and have to do more to pass the drivers test like lets say when My dad was a kid, There would be a lot less problems with safety.

Thanks for the comments about the weight of the wheels, I did some research but It didn't really help me that much. I plan on a 1jz or 2jz swap someday, but one thing I have to wonder is the benefit of the wider tire worth the disadvantage of the added weight? I guess at what point is too much, too much? I will definitely ask them how much the 17x9 rim would weigh. -
I'm painting my s30 2+2 satin black with spray cans. I'm on my first full coat and it looks alright, I'm still doing some body work then I will paint it a few more times and wetsand it to smooth it out and it should look fine. I have seen some pictures of black s130's and they look good. With the s130 you just have to find wheels that go good with the look. I think yours looks fine just do it the way you like it and you will be happy, You don't have to make anyone else happy about your car.

If he asked them if they made a 17 in so and so wheel and they didn't wouldn't they have mentioned they could make them custom for him? I don't know the conversation S130Z had with them but I'm sure it was in depth if he was serious about buying a 17 in rim from them. -
Here is FricFrac's 280zx, I wasn't a big fan of S130's before but they have grown on me, Plus wheels make all the difference on them. I may consider buying one someday since around here they are cheapp.

Thanks for the confirmation S130Z, Thats too bad they don't I would have prefered getting the rims from them as the ones they offer on stockton are offroad/4x4 wheels, Which like I said shouldn't bother me too much as long as they don't weight too much, besides I need something to slow me down to keep me out of trouble . Plus I will most likely be taking my Z through some Dirt moutain roads for the occasional fun so I wouldn't mind the extra strength of the rim.
