  1. I hope that isn't true because that would suck. I believe on his site he says they are for maxima calipers which I believe are the same as 240sx calipers? I might have to send him a email sometime.
  2. Plus you can clean up some wiring if you wish. There are about six bolts I believe four under the vent cover near the windshield and a few around the radio and doors and 2 by the steering wheel. Should pull straight out get at the big connectors on the passenger side if this is a 280z and it should come out just fine. I would take out the AC/Heater/radio plate before I took out the dash though. You might be able to slide the tach forward and get to the speedo and push it back out also.
  3. a 100 bucks? I wish I could find deals like that but if I did I would need a bigger driveway and neighbors might complain.
  4. The real question should be what backspacing do I need on a 9 inch wheel to make sure it clears my suspension. Also It has been covered a lot and on different setups as well. Build your car the right way and aesthetics will follow. Also you can't fill a ZG flare out too much on a lowered car without running stretched tires which is a problem on its own.
  5. Pretty much the same as me but I'm 5 years into the build and hopefully will be done this summer. The last car you posted looks good for that, Get something you can drive and work on at the same time, it sucks not being able to drive the car for a long period of time, I only drove mine once.
  6. That looks a lot better, Seems a much better platform to start off with. What are your plans for your Z? Resto-mod,Hybrid,Restoration,racer?
  7. Apparently that guy knows nothing about Z's even though he supposedly put tons of money into it. He says it has a Inline V6? and that it has a timing belt? they have timing chains not belts I would stay away from it just from the fact that he knows nothing about the car.
  8. Didn't all Z's come from japan? Anyways I believe that they came with 2 liter L6's in japan due to some law I believe but so its possible that they had a different cam (but they also had a smaller displacement possibly) I'm sure TonyD or someone else would know for sure.
  9. It's too much of a chop IMO it makes the rest of the car look huge, its probably the wheels that add to the effect as well. I personally think this one is much more tastefully done. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/645045/1973-datsun-240z
  10. Oh really now? At least my car doesn't have "Flat hips" like the Coupes have compared to a 2+2.
  11. Are you doing this just to get white faces or to get the SpeedHut gauge face? Anyways I would personally drill a hole/stopper.
  12. Just imagine the guy he passed by through the grass, I'm sure they both needed a change of pants haha.
  13. I'm pretty sure that is a metal frame for a 280zx because I can see a speaker vent in the middle and 280z's don't have speakers in the dash. Also The plastic molded covers won't go onto a metal frame you have to glue them to the existing foam which looks tacky imo. I have a dash from a 76 its just the foam part you would have to bolt it to your frame and use some bumper epoxy and whatever else to fix it up. On my dash I just filled it with some silicone and put a cloth cover over it. But there are a few threads about making it look good as new.
  14. There is a S30 in the parking lot at exactly 2:30 haha.
  15. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/96955-a-%E2%80%9Cstock%E2%80%9D-fuel-tank-solution/page__p__910658__hl__%2Bfuel+%2Btank+%2Bsolution__fromsearch__1#entry910658
  16. Was your car an Automatic before the swap? If so, I know on my 280z that they put a plate on the inside of the tunnel for the Automatic shifter and it will cause problems if not cut out.
  17. If I had the money and the time I would buy a old gas station or some older brick building that I could use as a garage (maybe a fire station) and build a loft to live in and have the garage below. I would maybe do something like a aircraft hanger with a loft as well.
  18. I have a Auto pedal from a 76' I know it will be the same, I also live in the Springs maybe we could work out a trade? I have various other auto trans parts as well if you need them. PM me some time.
  19. Silvermine motors sells some brackets unless your looking for the actual maxima bracket.
  20. I believe caliper paint is just high temp paint really. I used normal rustolem on my car and it did pretty good, needs a another coat or two. From the looks of the picture it just looks like you need a better spraying technique it seems sort of all over the place and thicker in some places then others, I would do some research on spraying technique and if your already doing fine then its probably the paint.
  21. Don't forget the car from Corvette summer. But Pink wheels aren't all that bad you should see the riced out hondas around here.
  22. I have been rollerblading before and the vibrations from the road or sidewalk really kill your legs I can't imagine what it would be like with your whole body but I believe the suit is made of some pretty tough stuff. Plus I would be scared of a pothole, bump, or dip coming out of no where. I believe this is his website as well. http://www.buggy-rollin.com/
  23. I'm not saying it's a good design or anything but thats the best way it fits and on the stock rubber bump stops I had on my car they were angled down as well. If you try to install them the other way the tapered end is above the threads on the strut and you wouldn't be able to get the strut through the strut hat to be bolted up.
