  1. BTW, you've got a 1970 Yellow Z with longchamps?

  2. He's asking height, not weight. The VQ35HR uses the VQ40 block, so its a little taller blockwise, but I'm not sure by how much. I believe the intake manifold on the VQ35HR sits lower, but again not sure by how much.
  3. Maybe you're thinking of the Titan. Armadas have always had the open R230 prior to '09
  4. Post some pics so we can see if you missed anything
  5. Take a look at this thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=665845#post665845
  6. Look at his post again...the price is listed there
  7. Do you need to borrow one? If so, you can borrow one of mine (I have a pair)
  8. The US Spec STI's R180s had Torsens for 2007 and 2008 (not sure about 2009). I believe the Legacy GT SpecB R200 also have Torsens for 2007 and 2008 (not sure about 2009).
  9. Hey Austin, Check out Dave's install (Zs-ondabrain....HLS30-08077 on HBZ): http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20276
  10. Remember, the 2007 G35 coupe still had the VQ35DE Hi-Rev, while the 07' 350Z and G35 Sedan recieved the VQ35HR, so that may be the reason for the conflicting info you've seen. From what I've read, the VQ35HR and VQ37HR both use the VQ40 block, which is taller than the VQ35DE blocks, so the bellhousing pattern is different Do a search on google for vq35 vq40 comparison, then read the 2nd thread (transmission options on the VQ40DE) So you either source a 6-speed from the VQ40 or HR motors, or possibly buy a VQ40 bellhousing and a 03' - 06' 350Z or G35 ( or 07' G35 coupe) MT and swap the bellhousing out
  11. Hi John, The betamotorsports site states its for the 25 spline later "K" R180s (while the STi "K" R180's are 27 spline)
  12. Myron, The VQ35HR is actually using the SAE new standard of measuring hp. So if using the older standard used for the VQ35DE, the 306hp/260tq (SAE) is more like 315hp/270tq.
  13. Hi John, I have a set you can borrow and I'm not too far away. Regards, Eric
  14. Haha yeah....the seller didn't know that the torsens came in 2007+ models so I opened it up to make sure he sent me the right one (he had an 06' and 07' diff for sale...both are 3.54 but different LSDs)
  15. 2004 and 2005 Subaru STI R180 - 3.90 mechanical LSD 2006 Subaru STI R180 - 3.54 mechanical LSD 2007 Subaru STI R180 - 3.54 with Torsen LSD 2008 Subaru STI R180 - 3.90 with Torsen LSD
  16. A VQ35DE is a worthwhile swap. Yes the VQ35HR or VQ37HR have more +s, however they are way more expensive, harder to source than a VQ35DE, and there aren't as much aftermarket yet compared to the VQ35DE. Also, the VQ35HR, VQ37HR, and VQ40 all share the same block (VQ40 block) which is taller than the VQ35DE block so vertical clearance may be an issue (maybe the dual intake plenum helps this, not sure) and you need to source the correct tranny (07+ 350Z, 08+ G35, etc).
