  1. I would at least ask for a close-up picture that lets you see through down the side. If "she" is not forthcoming, I wouldn't bid.
  2. Awesome! Very nice pieces. My collection is pretty run of the mill, I guess, since I did mostly IPSC stuff, not much long range shooting. But I do have this to show off: Definitely the most fun (if the least practical) firearm I own.
  3. The G-nose is the single largest aerodynamic improvement you can make to an S30. So I hardly think you can call it more "outdated" than what we're starting out with. It's "updated."
  4. Hey guys. First of all, the garage is very cool, thanks for adding it to the site. The only question I have is, how am I supposed to find a member's garage page by their name? I'm not even sure what order the cars are in...is it by join date? It would be pretty cool if there was a link on everyone's profile to their garage page, or even just a way to search it. Thanks again. -Forrest
  5. I didn't flame you, so don't be a jerk. I was just trying to share my enthusiasm about a movie I assume pretty much everyone who reads any internet forums has heard about. I was sharing it with people on the only forum I read on a daily basis, who I consider in most part to be my peers and friends. Thanks for playing? Thanks for namecalling. Thanks for turning a lighthearted post into an argument. Two thumbs up, buddy.
  6. Man, you missed the whole point of the movie. It was written FOR YOU. You think I liked any of those movies you mentioned? I'm really really picky when it comes to movies and I absolutely hate that crap. Snakes on a Plane was specifically written to make fun of the B horror movies with bad special effects. Come on yourself! Didn't you get the joke from the title?? The whole point of my post was that, knowing that, I still didn't expect them to do a very good job. BUT THEY DID. The movie was awesome! They played this entire thing exactly right. If you don't go see it, you're screwing yourself out of an incredible time. Especially on opening weekend. Because this weekend the theater will be full of people that DO get it. Edit - why would think that trailer is funny and not the real movie? What do you think they're doing in the real movie! EXACTLY THAT! They are the ones that came up with this idea in the first place. All the people who made the spoof trailers are people laughing WITH them, not at them. Join us!
  7. It's very subtle. It's supposed to make fun of campy horror movies with all their cliche nudity for no reason leading death scenes and silly one-liners and "touching heart-warming scenes" and obvious product placement and ridiculous violence. So of course I thought they'd overdo it and it would just be silly. I was wrong! They did it very very well. Some of the horror scenes were really intense. I think everyone in the theater knew what to expect ahead of time, (they were in on the humor) so it was a very enjoyable experience. Everyone loved it!
  8. Yes, I was a little suprised as some of you may be. I thought I knew what to expect, but I was wrong, because I didn't think they could do it so well. It was extremely well played. The parody scenes were not too over the top, the lines were not too ridiculous. It was hilarious and it was ridiculously violent. It's the most value I've gotten for my money in a long long long time. I'm really impressed, I wasn't disappointed, I am not sure they could have done a better job. SNAKES ON A MOTHERF'IN' PLANE!
  9. Looks suspicious - it would be awesome if someone was close enough to see it in person though!
  10. [quote name=rustrocket Heres another one that shares some of the same scenes' date=' but is a lot longer. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-152534067332271854[/quote] There is some cooler footage in that one but it's just not the same without the Karaja song heh.
  11. There might be something to the claims that there is less chance of vapor lock - I think you have to live in the desert to run into problems with the stock rail. The biggest advantage is that it makes maintenance 100x easier. I got so frustrated with the last stock rail I was trying to take out, I ended up cutting it up with tree clippers. I've had to replace fuel pressure regulator on my 77 before I put a new rail in, and after about 40 minutes it made me want to scream trying to get that hose back in place. I'm a reasonably patient person when working on my cars, too. It just gets ridiculous. Replacing an injector or the FPR, or taking them all out to clean them, etc, takes a few minutes minutes with an aftermarket rail. Plus they look cool. I bought all 3 of mine from Pete: http://www.freewebs.com/pallnet/
  12. Whether or not you use optical/hall or VR is your choice for the input of the tach signal. You could use MSD as the output for either input. You need to specify which input you want to use. Either way, don't worry - it's very easy to change those jumpered settings.
  13. Wow, that's some freakin incredible stunt driving.
  14. Snowflakes and swastikas are both 6" wide from inside lip to inside lip. That is how you're supposed to measure. I would not go over 205, your handling will get worse. I run 205/55-15 Yokohama AVS ES100's on my 76 and they're very nice tires for the money/tread life.

  18. Ouch! Good luck man, don't give up. Bring him flowers, maybe that will scare him into negotiations!
  19. Yes, it was good stuff. Was I imagining things or was the moral that women are really bad drivers?
  20. I've loved that car since the first time I saw pictures of it. Looking better than ever! Are you going to put headlight covers on it?
  21. I'm using the stock 2qt wiper fluid bottle. The only thing that annoys me is that I just found the wiper bottle from my 280zxt parts car, and it's 3qt and fits in the factory mounting location and just barely has enough room between the masters to fit. If I end up running out of fluid way too fast, maybe I'll take the sending unit and and fitting out of my bottle and stick it into that one. But from talking to you guys and some other people I know running alcohol injection, it doesn't sound like its going to be an issue.
  22. Well, while I'm waiting for brake parts, I got a little bit done today:
  23. If the rest of your cooling system is working properly, unless you are in extremely hot conditions, you can get by without a shroud. I don't have a shroud for my 76, and in 100 degree weather here (AC on) I've been in crawling traffic for over an hour and the temperatures never got above 210. Most of the time they stay at 190.
  24. I got 80%. However, most of those questions didn't have anything to do with true cynicism. Selfishness is a virtue.
