  1. You really need to put the TPS wiring back, its used for throttle enrichment and WOT/IDLE. Evan
  2. Carl is a good guy on nico. No experience but have dealt with him on nico (I am 240z4u over there). Evan
  3. Ron, my viscous is pretty weak too. Better than open but not by much. Ill do a real diff sometime in the future. Its a cheap option for the guys who can just bolt it in, not worth making a setup around if it requires any custom fab. Evan
  4. Head clearance can be a problem, thats an issue in my 240sx. I had bmw recaros that were mounted so low in z that my GF could not see over the dash! Evan
  5. http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=287592 States that they all had an LSD, but some just plain don't work anymore. Evan
  6. Well, if thats the case maybe it is just the "t" cars. I am not sure, let me do a little research. Evan
  7. I think my diff came out of a straight J30. Garrett got it for me. Ill double check. Evan
  8. Thats great news for the safety thing, thats the only reason I am really leaning hard twoards getting high priced seats. Evan
  9. NO, I totally understand what your doing! I had a halfass notion to attempt to fit that upper plenum with the front facing TB onto an RB lower intake. HOWEVER, my blind ass didn't notice that the manifold is bolted to the wrong side of the motor on a max! lol. Evan
  10. Jeff.. maybe... maybe not. Supposedly SE models all had LSD's, and my car didn't. Your sure bet is a J30 diff for an LSD. Evan
  11. Having gone from boat anchors to light rims before, your dead on. My suspension performed better as well. IMO lighter wheels are probabally a better (but more expensive) way to go! Evan
  12. I notice there is always reference to using an electric fan as freeing up HP. It does not free up as much as you would think when its on, it takes a few ponies to drive an alternator under load. Some of the fans out there draw major current. Evan
  13. Looks like a backwards RB intake manifold. Wait, what year max is that off of? Do you know how tall the upper plenum is? Evan
  14. What? I don't see any prices listed. Just MSRP. Says to email for thier pricing unless I missed something.
  15. Ill be honest, I have no idea what your doing. I wish you had photos or something of the problem. I am also a member of the measure 6 times, cut once, and still have it too short family. Welcome. Now that I am done giving you a hard time, check out these guys. http://store.racing-solutions.org/albe1.html They mandrel bend aluminum tubing. I bought a bunch of mild steel bends, quality is very good as is pricing. You should call them and dont have DHL ship them. It took FOREVER. Good luck dude - Evan
  16. I put DRD seats in an S10 for someone at some point. Typical imported seats. They look good but not sure how well they held up. My other concern is integrity in a collision. Thats the main reason I will probabally spend the bigger dollars on a set of recaros or sparcos. Sorry I didn't have much more useful info. Thats just my (very) limited experience. Thanks - Evan
  17. And much much cheaper! Evan BTW, if you don't have any luck finding one Ill have an extra in a month or so when I put my new trans in.
  18. I had the same problem on my RB after my swap. I was able to get silicone heater hose from carquest auto parts. I put that on a couple years ago and it still has retained its shape nicely and is impervious to various chemicals. Its not cheap, but around 10 a foot or so. Reasonable enough. Evan
  19. I saw that thread, very cool. I am not a v8 guy, but the idea of being able to make that work interests me enough to try it someday.
  20. True I wasn't paying too much attention about the voltage being read with the car off. My bad! Agreed on checking voltage with a DMM with the car off as well. Good luck! Hope its nothing more serious! Evan
  21. I have a cyberdyne gauge that reads low consistently. Also depends where your grabbing your power.
  22. I ended up doing it with a holesaw and a hand drill. Decided it would be too big of a pain to make it stay where I wanted it in the press. Warren hit the nail on the head, slow, and WD40 worked well as a lubricant. I drilled an 1/8" pilot an followed it up with a 5/16 then the holesaw. Evan
  23. You guys should try Boulleit (I think thats spelled right). I used to drink jim beam black and it has converted me. Its also very reasonably priced! When I had my z, I was so tired (non-booze) that I slept for an hour on a creeper under my car. Evan
