  1. Ah thanks! Hopefully I can get this thing buttoned up.
  2. Would you happen to know if they use metric sizing or is it still standard sizing?
  3. I cracked my air injection piping and I ass-umed that the bolts for the air injection tubes would be an easy find so I removed them. Does anyone have any idea what size they are? I found this thread on zcar, but the sizes that were listed was much too small. http://www.zcar.com/forum/10-70-83-tech-discussion-forum/116053-air-injection-removal.html I tried a 1/4 NPT steel fitting but it was much too small (diameter) to fit. I went to Lowes and the thread pitch seemed to match a 3/8 pipe plug, but it was a touch too wide. If the plug was metric I suspect it would've fit. Anyone have any ideas? I've tried a whole bunch of bolts with no luck. It's for a 260z manifold if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help.
  4. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but does anyone know a sand/media blaster company in the Socal region that they can recommend? Looking to blast some body and engine parts.
  5. Neat idea, always loved those old Chevy's. Weight and length might be an issue though. I know they are heavier than an iron block SBC by alot. Any reason to go with a chevy 6 over the L28?
  6. Ah I didn't realize that's what it was for. I thought he was experimenting with valve placement for combustion, which I guess was the case given the rules. His workmanship is pretty amazing.
  7. I was over at the ratsun forums and came across an older thread about someone doing some extensive head mods to a L20b. It included welding some of the water passages and slotting the cylinder head bolt holes to offset the valves in the cylinder. I did some searching here to see if anyone has tried this but I didn't find anything. This is way beyond anything I plan on doing but the numbers he is listing is pretty impressive. http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67302027-Doing-some-stupid-shit-to-an-old-datsun-head https://racemagazine.com.au/cars/incredible-datsun-cylinder-head-redesign#more-13007
  8. I can't believe it. John did work on my car a few years back too. A great guy. My condolences to the family. RIP.
  9. You could sell your project cars and get a built Z from here or elsewhere. It's much cheaper buying someone's finished work and it still would be significantly less than that viper. Much cheaper to insure too. Reminds me of this thread from a year ago, an incredible deal. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/119982-2jz-overkill-z-for-sale-35k-obo/
  10. Looking for a P90 or P90a head for a build. PM me if you have or know of one. I'm in the Socal area.
  11. If you can fit that seat you may want to see if you can squeeze into this. Have it in my car. Fits great and FIA approved. Might need to get a removable steering wheel though to get in and out. https://www.subesports.com/cobra/monaco-pro/cob-5050
  12. Ah good to know John. Do you have any recommendations on a micrometer? Or any other measuring tool brand? I've been looking for a good set. The names I keep seeing are Mitutoyo, Starrets, and B&S. Prices are a bit steep for my uses, but I'd prefer a tool that actually worked.
  13. Thanks guys, wasn't sure if it was one of those tools I should spend a little extra for. I'm just using it for my own valve adjustments.
  14. Looking for a set for my car, anyone have any recommends besides craftsman?
  15. Thanks 88, I like the sound of $60 to $100 anyday!
  16. Been looking to pick up a couple of colortune kits and found 2 different part numbers. They seem to have similar listed dimensions but way different price listings. Does anyone know if the G4074 is the same as the 500 model? The only place I've seen with the 500 model is black dragon. Makes me think it might be an older part number. Can anyone confirm? 17. Some tail happy driving here https://youtu.be/p6C3TEjWYXM
  18. I'm subscribed to his video feed and was surprised to see a L6 manifold pop up. Just was curious if this was a members project. https://youtu.be/ucFK1Xo01ss
  19. You can use this chart as a gauge. https://www.subesports.com/chart-seats
  20. Came across this on facebook today, one of the nicest I have seen so far. Very tasteful.
  21. If you run out of room and ditch the idea of a passenger (and being cool in the summer), you can put the turbo in a lot of places too. Here's an AIX car with a turbo and water to air intercooler next to the driver. http://www.doc4net.com/doc/3599778344486?cn=3
  22. Interested depending on price.
