  1. Very easy, I've seen them done two ways but not sure if either way is the "proper way". I just laid some thick Dynamat and used adhesive to get the vinyl to stick then stuck it to the roof. this little guy came in the other day. Just waiting on a couple fitting and gaskets from driftmotion now then will start to assemble.
  2. not to revive a dead thread but I'm having the same issue.
  3. Started removing my twins this past weekend, word of advice for anyone looking at removing them. Take both stock turbos off at the same time. I found the best way to do it was by removing the nuts circled in blue, once you have those nuts off remove the stock turbos and you can remove the nuts circled in red. (4th blue circle nearest to the rad should be red not blue) Underneath the car nearest to the front of car Underneath the car nearest to firewall just to double check, the hose circled in the picture below can be blocked off. and where do people normally run the hose from the water pump (second picture)?
  4. Been slowing fixing up the interior of the car. Grabbed myself a pair of skillard door cards and they fit great, I didn't end up using the supplied nuts just put some aluminum rivnuts instead which seem to be holding up fairly well. I finally got around to laying some carpet which was purchased from MSA and it seems to be good quality and I redid the headliner in some vinyl. On another note anyone know the color code for the 1jz valve covers? Cannot seem to find anything online and I cant use my valve covers to paint match because I redid them in black...
  5. I've recently been looking into different turbo manifolds and noticed most of the manifolds on the market that use external waste gates have the waste gates going out of the merge collector at what looks like a 90°. From what I've been reading you'd ideally like them between 0° to 45°. Other than space restrictions is there something I'm missing? merge collector.pdf
  6. +2 for the goo gone, it also comes in a wipe which works great.
  7. have you tried dry ice and something to scrap it with.
  8. the grom mirrors looked good, how are they for visibility? Really liking the hood as well, will the hood stay red or do you have a paint job in the future?
  9. IMG_6360.jpg What model seat is this? The color of it looks like it matchs my dash perfectly! great progress so far, looking forward to seeing a couple pictures of the whole car.
  10. Depending on what you're creating either solid works or inventor may be better, imo. I personally prefer solid edge for anything to do with sheet metal/ tubes and inventor for everything else.
  11. good job on the 3d design, not to many pick it up that quickly. what system was that inventor? looks almost like the new f360 software autodesk is running. Any chance you know what type of 3d printer your buddy is using?
  12. good job on the Z. What were you thinking aesthetics wise? have you decided on a colour?
  13. haven't posted in awhile, works been a bit to busy. Found my passenger outer tie rod needed some replacing so I snagged myself some t3 goodies. Will update this a bit more tonight with some more progress pictures.
  14. cheapest ebay wheel I could find that included shipping.
  15. title says it all looking for a hood, let me know what your looking to get and if your willing to ship it. Please have pictures.
  16. awesome thanks guys for the speedy response
  17. I think I've finally finished the dash. Happy with the final product for now. Placed an order on some goodies last week and my air dam and turn signals came in. Found some time this weekend and got them mounted up, just waiting on the rest of the order now. Is it normal to have a big empty space between my air dam and the chrome bumper?
  18. Great job on the dash. Any chance you can snap a couple more pictures of the T3 Harness bar?
  19. title is pretty self explanatory need a good condition driver seat belt assembly. let me know what your looking to get for it
  20. thanks! very glad i went a different route.
  21. think I have one kicking around. Can you pm me your email Ill take a picture and send it your way.
  22. was rereading your build and noticed you grabbed an ecu from driftmotion. What are your thoughts on it and will you be doing the tune yourself or is it plug and play? I was thinking of grabbing the AEM infinity-6 but kind of hesitate as I haven't used one prior.
  23. @Calz the cover is all from scratch. An upholsetry buddy gave me a hand with the stitching. The pattern was just a picture in my head, sketched it out and then figured it was something id like to see happen. As far as the material goes it didn't stretch much at all we had to do a lot of "invisible seams".
  24. Thanks, ended up taking about 15 hours for the stitching and then a bit more time to actually put it on, haven't finished the glove box either. I didn't go the bondo route however I did fix the cracks prior to covering them up was worried I'd be able to see the cracks through the material once it was stretched out.
