  1. That's a riot! I have one of those in the back yard! It's going Satin Black Rustoleum and I am going to put fender mirrors on it too. I am thinking of putting diamond plate aluminum where the wood grain is. A great car for driving to the junk yard
  2. I think I posted this before; http://www.route66restorations.com/1.html I installed my front and rear glass by myself. I never sweat so much, in my life. It was like performing surgery, carefully pushing glass and pulling cord, trying not to put undo pressure on that vital piece of glass. I found using 3/8" nylon cord worked very well, as it allowed for more space for the pinch weld. Use lot's of soap! Soak the rope overnight in soapy water. Good Luck! By the way the rear window is much harder to install than the front!
  3. That repair is a bitch to do! Your's look good! Makes me think that there is another hole in the marketplace for someone to fill with a prefab, preformed repair piece that goes around all of the bends and curves.
  4. FWIW, My Rustoleum Satin Black still looks great after 18 months and near 40,000 miles later! No chips, or scratches. I wish I could say that about the automotive enamel paint on the rest of the car.
  5. Your car is awesome! But what is the story with the engine? Can't wait to drive it? Looks great!
  6. Great Looking Seats! What's the rope for?
  7. Ferd/289, This product is a lacquer based system. I am no chemist, but I did look at the MSDS sheet (which is clumsy to get to on the web site, or should I say off their site, They provide a link to a second party site). Paint Shop Lacquer, contains no Iso's, but it is nasty to breathe in as it has other horrible things to kill you with. Slowly, I guess, but read the msds and see for your self what your enviromental threshold will take. I would wear a goood mask.
  8. Right now, I have my 240 apart just the shell, with the exception of the rear suspension. I have the rear tires sitting on plastic milk crates and the front is sitting on three stacked spare tires under the lower rad support. It is dead on level. I cut out one side at a time, as I progress with the frame rails and floors. It's pretty cool to be able to lift the front of the car and move it around rolling on the rear tires! The front crossmember has to be out to replace the front rails. I did reinstall the rear transmember to keep the tunnel in shape.
  9. I guess I better study up. Too bad that the aftermarket "Breed SRS" is gone. Maybe someday, the new parent company, Key Industies (who own MOMO) will come out with a retrofit system. It sure does seem like another hole in the market place. I mean, it's like reloading your own ammunition, right? You won't find out if it works until you actuate the trigger. I can reload good ammo, I would have no problem learning, then installing a small pyrotechnic inches from my face! Not that I can jump into this project right away.
  10. How about a modern steering column with an air bag from let's say a 2004 vintage Sentra?
  11. I use this company for alot of stuff, very good selection, pricing and delivery. No, it's not a scotch porn site: http://www.mcfeelys.com/ Glad your still with us.
  12. While your down there, maybe you should drill a 1/8" drain hole in the bottom of this pipe at the low spot; Very cool This is OverKill FYI: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDatb1_8myg
  13. Did you see this thread? http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=112283&highlight=turbo+wire+plugs
  14. I think "Pinks" is a lot like "COPS". It does'nt matter what town your in, the same bad actors, the same dumb stunts, lies, and crying. Maybe the shows should be combined! Oh wait, they have "America's High Speed Chase Show". I have to think the folks that make these shows are surprised themselves if the stuff makes it more than the first season. I don't know why they still make COPS (or the others), enough already.
  15. 2003z, What do they look like in the daylight? Thank you for posting this, they look great!

  18. They look nice from way back here. Your pictures are kind of small, even in the gallery. I can't find an emoticon with binoculars:coollook: So did they charge you by the pound?
  19. more from: http://www.exoticcarseats.com $$$$$
  20. 1 tuff z, you happen to have 432 posts now! Co-winky Dinky? Those are very attractive. Retro and priced well. "The Classic Bucket is the perfect "vintage/classic style" bucket seat. It is ideal for classic cars, trucks and kit-car applications. Standard features include: tubular steel frame, injection molded foam, an adjustable headrest and custom vertical stitching along the center of the seat. The Classic Bucket will fit up to a 36" waist" I guess I have to lose 2 inches.
  21. Nismo280zEd, I think your car looks very good in Black and Silver trim. Very Sinister!
  22. My bumpers are Metal. I was lucky enough to find the center section for the rear on ebay, New in the box, for less than $20. The ends are from a 73. The front is from a 73 also. I just filled the holes with stainless "button head" allen bolts from Home Despot. All black paint on my car is Satin Black Rustoleum. I sprayed the hood, bumpers and trim. I rolled on the lower stripes.
