  1. Cool adapter!! Wish I knew about that before I JTR'd my slave!
  2. I bet your slave would work, there isn't much to them inside. A couple of O rings, plunger and a spring. My T5 slave is from a junkyard car, and works fine.
  3. NO, that looks like a hydraulic throw-out bearing. A T5 slave looks exactly like a T56 slave, but it has an allen head screw in the end to bleed it.
  4. yep! I think you can order just the slave for a T5. Ask Dan about that, I used the JTR method
  5. It is direct bolt in but, it still uses the GM roll pin end. So you still have to modify it per JTR, or get the Ron Tyler adapter that Dan suggested. Any GM T5 slave should work.
  6. You can also use a T5 slave, it even has a bleeder valve! That's what I'm using with my T56, it works great.
  7. No idea what that is. Did you take it appart to see what's in there? It could be some aftermarket thingy
  8. I think close to $20k by now. But it never ends!
  9. Kyle, any ideas how much HP your engine will put out?
  10. 426 Hemi 409 Chevy ( she's real fine my 409 )
  11. WOW , looks like a head on crash, and there was a big fire. Not much left of the bike, or people. I'm suprised they didn't cover the bodies with the traffic going by.
  12. You need to measure the space between the frame at the rad support. Some Zs seem to be wider than others. I think 280s are wider than 240s, but measure to make sure.
  13. Welcome to HybridZ, and thanks for the info.
  14. 24x19 is just right. 26x19 is too big, but some frames can fit them.
  15. Did you do a search? There is plenty of info on Z31s http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=26542&highlight=z31 http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=26328&highlight=z31 http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25680&highlight=z31 http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=25853&highlight=z31 http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21573&highlight=z31 http://livethenow.com/tempdir/zcar/v8z/ These are just some of them.
  16. Alsil sells a crossmember for a Ford into a Z. http://zcar.netdojo.com/fordswap.htm
  17. That's not tubbing, that's adding fender flares. To "tub out" means to widen you stock wheel tubs from the inside. Check my link for pics.
  18. Silicone boy, you don't want to do plastic surgery on yourself do you!!
  19. You need to remove the interior, and weld in a bar that goes from one side to the other just behind the front seats. Weld it to the top of the door latch side right under where the 1/4 window starts. This will keep the sides of the car from bowing out. Then check how much of the new roof you have, and where you want to cut the old roof to match it.
