  1. There are threaded rivets called nutserts, or rivet-nuts, or threaded-serts. Try mcmaster-carr.com
  2. Why don't you guys come down to the next SEZS event! It's not that far for you. http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20220&start=0
  3. I've used this stuff on my calipers. It's self leveling 2 part paint, pretty tuff stuff. It comes in red, yellow, blue, silver, black, green, white, purple, and gold. It only comes in gloss though. Each kit covers 4 sq ft or 4 calipers. http://www.eastwoodcompany.com/itemdy01.asp?T1=10270Z&Dep_Key1=spc

  10. Thats odd, I have a Metrinch set I bought 4 years ago and use them as my main tool set... I haven't had any problems out of them.. (and they have taken quite a beating ) I like them mainly because I don't have to search for metric or standard tools what whatever I am working on.... I just grab the Metrinch set.. maybe there was a flaw in the extention ??? As far as Craftsman power tools.... Yes they are complete CRAP! I have a lawn mower and weedeater that I bought about 2 years ago and they have both failed.. I finally got the Mower to work , but the weedeater still won't..... I'm with you, I love my Metrinch set!!! I built my whole car with them! I love that you don't have to search for metric or standard tools also.

  12. You wont mess up! Just carefully measure everything, then cut the strut housings with a rented pipe cutter. Since you don't want to weld it, bring that part to a welder, it shouldn't cost much.
  13. Stony check this post about searches. http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24891

  16. Body Work & Paint. It should have said Body Kits & Paint
  17. You won't need that metal spacer. The short insert, put it next to your strut and see if it is shorter then the stock unit.
  18. Is that metal spacer welded to the bottom? If so the insert will not work for the front! Are you sure that is not a rear insert? They are longer. But that looks like it would be stock height for the rear. Usually for a sectioned strut, you use a VW Rabbit for the front (there are others, I can't remember) , and use the stock height front strut insert for the back, after sectioning it.
