  1. Ya, I miss that too. Also what happened to our ranking number when we joined? It's also hard to tell where you have been last on the main forum page, and if there are any new posts.
  2. Ask one of these guys, they have a '78 , and from Georgia! http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10321&highlight=wiring+sbc+78
  3. Sounds like your sender took a dump. Take it out and check it with an ohm meter, it should read between 12, and 80 ohms. It may be just stuck in one position.
  4. Saw this on the Vintage Air site: http://www.vintageair.com It's called the frontrunner. Notice how it tucks everything below the hight of the valve covers, and in tight, not wider than the engine. Perfect for our cars!! I would of bought this insted of fabbing my own brackets.
  5. Scottie and I were taking about my wing at the last SE HybridZ meet. I have never noticed any exhaust smells in my car, I think it does have an effect. It's also supposed to add down force over the back wheels. Who knows, I just like the different look!
  6. I wrote this down one time, I don't know where it came from but here it goes: The CD for a 240Z is .476 , and that there is under 20 sq ft of frontal area.
  7. If the flywheel and pressure plate are from the 94 Camero they will not fit the 327. You need a special flywheel from Centerforce, and thier clutch assembly. Clutch is around $500+ ,Flywheel is around $300
  8. Sounds like this old girlfriend was your first real love in life. You will always remember her!All through your life you will remember her, that's normal. I still think of my first love, and think what it would be like if I was still with her. Just keep her in you thoughts, but don't mess up what you have now. One day once you have been married awhile, you could talk about both your old relationships, but you won't have to worry about it because you love each other. You could be having cold feet about getting married, and thinking about other options. This is normal too. Just stick with you new girl, and don't look back. Good luck!
  9. Mr. Big, That black wire looks like someone put it there for something. On my 240 the main ground wire is to the right of the strut tower close to the frame (using your top pic) It's a very think black wire. Z Law Man, are those white wires thick, maybe with a red band? If so that box could be your fusable links inside. Not sure, I have a 240Z. You need to trace where those white wires go too.
  10. Not sure about a ZX, but with a 240,280Z speedo/tack is 5" all others 2 5/8". A ford gas gauge comes closest with the stock Datsun sender, but it's not perfect. I tried that route, but was not happy with the accuracy. I modified an '85 LTD sender to fit the Datsun tank, and now my gauge is correct.
  11. You learn by your mistakes! At least you noticed it early on. Get back on the horse and start over, it will work this time!
  12. You can route it that way, it doesn't matter. The radiator connection is only a tranny oil cooler, it just cools the oil. I would add an external oil cooler also, it will make your tranny live longer.
  13. Nope,Chevy cam, heads will not bolt up to a Buick. You maybe able to use the JTR mounts, but probably will have to modify them.
  14. Nope, bellhousing is different too. It shares nothing with a chevy engine.
  15. I knew it was that spring causing most of your problems. If your temp doesn't go above 210 you don't have a problem, that's well within the range. Now if it creaps past 230 I would be worried. Is your electric fan always on, or just when needed? If you wire it to be always on, it should maintain a constant temp like you want.
  16. I maybe wrong, but I thought you can re-use roller lifters(your stock rollers) on a new cam. As long as they are in good shape. The roller tips do not wear the cam.
  17. With my Chevy rear I'm running 3:73 gears. It seems to be a perfect all around gear. Now for a r200, probably the 3:70 gears would work best.
  18. Very nice! Look forward to seeing it at the Hybrid meet!
  19. I would but that spring back in the lower rad hose. All lower hoses have a spring in them for a reason.
  20. Welcome! Where are you from, and do you have any pics!
  21. That does look good! Hopefully they build it.
  22. Is this rice looking or what! www.i-m-racing.com
  23. I mean you have to order the paper catalog.
  24. Go here for their catalog: http://www.airride.com/toc.htm Brian said there are pics of the struts in it.
