  1. bow down before my newly acquired thumb-nailing powers: I meant green. Blue=green, maybe our computer monitors are a bit color blind?
  2. is this that blue one with the turbine style wheels?
  3. I've been searching for DIY wideband o2 sensor options, so perhaps I can come out at around $100 for a wideband. I know about the lc-1 and that is my next choice if I can't find anything else. The PWC board isn't going to be out for a while from bowling grippo, so I'm not even counting on that. So far I have found the diy-wb replacement in australia, techedge, but it seems like their prices (including shipping/ sensor) will come out at just about the price, if not more, than an innovative lc-1. I wonder, if there is a way to run a wbo2 off a laptop? Would that make sense? maybe only for tuning, but still. I'm not a computer guru, so I can't even begin to think where to get started on something like this, but is it even possible? If there are no other cheap alternative wb kits out there i'll just have to go for the LC-1.
  4. Datsun camshafts & Valve Timing by Racer Brown this is a good read! (and its free!)
  5. so you have your fan on all the time on "low" when the ignition is on? Thats probably not such a good idea, mostly because the engine doesn't need the fan on ALL the time, only when the car is stopped, or going really slowly. unless i read your post wrong... edit: i can't believe i just threw away my taurus 2speed fan! o well, upgrades are upgrades.
  6. wow, 108 views in roughly 3hrs! i think i'd say there are some math nuts in here!
  7. >> solve('75*x+(1/2)*5*x^2=3000') ans = -15+5*57^(1/2) -15-5*57^(1/2) >> -15+5*57^(1/2) ans = 22.7492 >> mmmm matlab7 as you can see, velocity is increasing, otherwise the graph would be one of a straight line.
  8. does your car have an engine?
  9. maybe around $400 for the rebuilt engine with 8k on it. I rebuilt mine for the cost of 600-700, to give you an idea. I say sell the clutch seperately for around 90bucks, unless it is an upped performance clutch.
  10. cool, thanks for the higher res. pic. are you planning on keeping the hood black or are you going to make it red as well?
  11. I don't remember my car having an egr harness, but in that general area, the next closest thing with an electrical connector (besides an injector of course) would be the idle air control valve. Its the thing with a rubber hose going to the throttle body, and another one that has T on it. The connector goes underneath the hose going to the TB. If thats not it, my next guess would be that you are talking about the coldstart valve, but this is a pretty obvious connection, and It would be hard to miss. Note: the car will run without those wires connected.
  12. are you joking? It seems like 5 guys would be no match for the kinetic friction between a spinning tire and pavement! They still use the brake right?
  13. remember that 90* of distributor rotation is really 180* of crank rotation.
  14. Hi mi name is oliver, and I also use excel spreadsheets. lol, yes I have one to keep track of what I want to do in order of priority, and i have prices next to everything, so I can sort it into order of $$$ for each mod. My total for future mods is around $12,000, and thats before I even start on my 3.1 diesel stroker project.
  15. ah, yes that explains it. Lighting conditions will play tricks with you. I've been known to take a picture 10 times before i'm happy. (i'm very patient lol)
  16. yeah, i do remember when I had my steelies on, I would scare the sh*t out of my g/f at the time, getting sideways without even trying (in the rain of course) I'm really considering the falken ziex in 195/65/14 for $38 each. As pusher posted. In the past I have heard that wet traction is maximized by a skinnier tire, and that wider tires are more prone to hydroplaning. My limited experience has shown that falken ziex in 205/50/15 absolutely stink in rain, but my current kumho 225/50/15, rock in rain. If you look at the tread patterns they don't look too different.
  17. How do they explain the spherical shape you see when you get high enough in an airplane?
  18. Cool vid! No offense to your previous picture taking, but it looks like if you adjust some of the settings on your digital camera you may be able to get higher quality photos out of it, judging from the quality of the video. I don't think your pictures do the paintjob justice after seeing the video
  19. You won't find a better deal on a new fan. I picked mine up used, for less than half of what you're looking at. Mine is also smaller though. It will definitely be an upgrade from the stocker.
  20. does the car run without it?
  21. aux's post syntax: (insert subject here) (paste interesting link from other browser) (wait for responses) repeat X1000 Because of you I have spent more hours on the internet than I should, reading the most random, useless stuff. thanks! LOL at the FE theory.
  22. dude, you can't post something like that without a link!
  23. were those guys really holding the car back while he did a burnout? there is such thing as line lock...
