  1. http://dot.etec.wwu.edu/fsae/viking35adhesives.htm They had a write up on it as well, but right now all I can only find the photo gallery. on second thought, I don't know if stuff like that will work in a fuel environment. Its more for stress loads.
  2. Maybe they are trying to say its better for vibration?
  3. thats got to be the highest number I've ever heard out of an L6 in a z. I have to pull the BS flag on you until you provide more info, like how much your speedometer is off by
  4. it sure took him a long time to realize he wasn't getting anywhere.
  5. could you imagine the nightmare in routing the intake/exhaust manifolds on that thing? It appears it has intake and exhaust ports all over the thing. On the bright side, it would be a good excuse to do ITBS... oh wait, then you have to synch them all up too. I'm sure it would sound nice at high rpms.
  6. There was a thread going around a few years back, where someone was asking for frame dimensions of the front. I can't find it now, but that is where i read the same thing. I can come up with a BS answer but I prefer somone knowledgable to explain it.
  7. right now it seems like too much work to go and take a picture of the can, but it says "professional" and "high performance" it must be good for an extra 50hp with that "high performance" blend right?
  8. nope. It doesnt need a shroud because the fan is sucking REALLY close to the radiator, and It pulls alot of air.
  9. Yep. thats the one I have on my car. Very reliable. Plastic anchors? What we (me and thumper) did was jam that probe into the radiator fins. It actually kicks on my fan at exactly 180* on the autometer gauge I have, so it appears to be a pretty accurate place to put the probe. look very carefully at the pic for the place where i put the probe.
  10. Tony, I had the same problem! Link to my post on the problem link to the first update, when I started replacing parts link to second update, when I replaced MC link to understanding the brake MC BTW I did get a bad MC from the parts store, so it is not uncommon for something like that to happen.
  11. lol. There is a "240zx" on forza motorsports (xbox game) Its a S30 zg!!! wheres the luxury in that?
  12. ah I just noticed the notched end link bushings.
  13. sounds like a fun drive! How long did it take? like 7hrs getting there? btw I love road trips when stuff fails. I went to pedernalis(sp?) falls near austin. Its about a 40 min drive from the city, but on the way out there was traffic. Perfect time for my fan wiring to fail, right? It was less than a 1hr drive and my car was already falling apart!! lol.
  14. If your car indeed has all the things you listed above, it would start. You are either: not getting any air into the engine/ compression not getting any spark. not getting any fuel. go through the FI bible. Go through all the tests. When you are done with that pull off your HT lead to the distributor and check to make sure theres spark there. if that checks out, check the individual spark plug wires. Then check to make sure they are all plugged into the distributor in the right order. Make sure your fuel filter is not clogged, and make sure you are getting pressure to the injectors. make sure your fuel pump is turning on. oh yeah, make sure you have gas!!! as a last resort, make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks, but even with vacuum leaks the car would kick over.
  15. clean car mike! hope the rust isn't too bad on that one. ...sonic the hedgehog
  16. i keep telling myself, "one day..."
  17. thats sick, its like two big A** nostrils... 175mph.... wow
  18. nope, the 300zx rear end you're thinking about is the CLSD type, 87 and up I believe. Viscous came in the 88 shiro
  19. Definitely go for the 5-speed. My car originaly came with a 4-speed and I only had to drive it that way for about a month before I was convinced I needed a 5-speed!
