  1. John, I know your trailer and I will watch and search. Good luck!
  2. Where can I purchase a restrictor for my turbo oil feed line?
  3. How bout the brain child that worked on his 190 Mercedes for two years doing a very decent mechanical refresh of the engine, swapped the interior from a parts car and topped if off with a really nice paint job. This all sounds good right? Now comes the part where a stoned, nitwit, moron carelessly backing his other ride, a ford van, at a speed far greater than reasonable, slammed the van into the front end of his pride and joy 190. You can only guess who the moron was.
  4. I will agree with JT1's reply based on my experience with wilwood calipers that had "stuck" pistons. I dissembled them and cleaned the cylinders. Then all was well.
  5. I loved my 240. I still love my 280z, my 280zxt, and my 300tt. Get the picture?? Yes they are different cars and all have their own character. They are all great cars and have provided me with more fun than I have time or inclination to write about. Enjoy the ride!
  6. TitaniumZ, Yes, The gutted door thing could happen. There gos another few pounds. Soon the Red Bird will lift off!
  7. 280Zone, The Featherlite is two years old and and is in excellent condition. I had planned to offer it for sale on ebay with a starting price of $3500.00.
  8. "C-channel vs. beam construction" Mike...are you referring to the construction of the frame? I assume that beam construction would be better???
  9. I have decided to sell or trade my Featherlite open trailer and get an enclosed one. I really would like to have another all aluminum trailer and have looked at several new ones. They are very expensive, even when compared to a high quality steel framed trailer. I have found an excellent factory direct deal on a Millennium, Gold series, 24 ft model; with a "v" nose and it is priced at about two thirds the cost of an all aluminum one with the same options. Have any of you had experience with a Millennium trailer? Does anyone have a strong opinion about which trailer manufacturer builds the best one? How about aluminum vs steel opinions? Thanks for your input, mayolives
  10. John, I'll see you on Saturday AM. I'm the crew chief of the Datsun sector for the weekend. Later, mayolives.
  11. I have a complete harness and ecu that I pulled from my 82ZXT parts car. I intended to sell it on ebay after the Thanksgiving holiday. PM me if you are interested. mayolives@aol.com
  12. "SEM also makes an interior panel paint" What/Who is SEM?
  13. I have a fiberglass dash (PDK) that will be installed in my dedicated track car. The stock finish is a semi gloss black that reflects too much sun light. Any ideas on a good finish that will not reflect sunlight? Is there a spray on product that will work? I have considered having some type of material adhered to it but I think this could turn into a big pain to make look good.
  14. Here is a link to "The Datsun Workshop". It has lots of good basic information that may help you. http://geocities.com/row4navy/
  15. Just remember the old saying "Man Who Represents Himself In Court Has Fool For Attorney".
  16. Better re-think the "go to court" advice. Find a local attorney ay him a couple hundred bucks to help you. Normally, the lawyer can get the charges reduced to a lessor or none moving type violation that you will plead guilty to and pay the fine without going to court. This procedure usually works and your insurance rate will not rev to a higher limit. Good luck, mayolives.
  17. Thank you. What a blast. One of the best road course vids I have ever watched!
  18. MiKelley, I understand your comments and will reconsider my design. The fuel cell thing should be a VERY big consideration. Of all safety issues, fire from a ruptured cell is very near the top of my list. I bit the bullet earlier this year and purchased a good fire suit due to seeing Dale Jr. nearly get fried at Sears Point.
  19. I am not a cage designer. RTR Motorsports designed and installed my cage and did not add the long bars from the top of the hoop to the rear of the body like you have shown in the pictures. My concern for you would be what could happen if you car was impacted from the rear end and those long bars would push the cage forward and into the driver. Perhaps you should redesign with a "crush zone" at the rear. There are many more talented cage designers here at Hybrid that could chime in and offer advice if you should desire more input on your design.
  20. " We all know what kind of members are on that site!" The "ricers" that you refer to who hang at the "other" sites and annoy you are the next generation of gear of heads. Let's cut them some slack, and when possible, lend a hand and offer some advice. Your perch on the "high horse" is precarious at best!
  21. I purchasd the system several months ago but we are still in the build stage. Hopefully it will come alive for tuning before the end of this year. I'll keep you posted.
  22. My 82 ZXT is sooooo quiet, except for the noise from air coming through the "track less" windows. The only solution, IMHO, would be to replace the rubber seals but they are super expensive.
  23. There is another clutch bleeder located under the hood near the power steering/hycis (spelling??) pump on the passenger side. It must be bleed. There is a pedal adjustment under the dash that usually must be adjusted when a clutch has been replaced. Check out TwinTurbo.net. You will find lots of good info there for the Z32.
  24. I installed Cusco strut bars on my 82 ZXT. The quality and fitment was excellent. The front fit without issues. Some trimming, of the rear interior panels where the original cover for the struts were located, was needed and these small covers can no longer be used without modifications. Cusco's center adjustment was also very solid and well made. Good luck with your selection.
