  1. Here is the info from a different thread about my new Mitsubishi Evo IX Recaro seats. The thread is located here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126499
  2. I just couldn't pass them up. They are so comfortable and fit me so well. They are much more supportive then my stock seats and after the track day at Daytona, I need seats that will hold me in place better. I think they will be a great seat for a driver that sees some track and autocross use. Now I need to find some harnesses for them.
  3. EDIT: I went out to look at a pair of Mitsubishi Evo IX Recaro seats today. They are from a 2006 Evo and were pulled after only one month of use. They are black leather and in like new condition. I knew I couldn't pick them up in the Z car so I pulled the passenger seat from my 510 and went down to check them out. They fit the 510 nicely and look like they will fit into the z nicely too. So I bought them. If they don't fit in the Z, I will use them in the 510. Here are the pictures that the seller emailed me. They look gray in the pics but they are black. Once I get them mounted, I will post more pics and info on the install. They look like they should fit the Z well. We shall see
  4. The photos are up now. They look great. Make sure you guys buy some stuff from these guys. They worked hard and did a fantastic job. http://www.highlanddesignstudio.com/motorsport/Zcon07/Zcon07-home.html I love how they used Glen McCoys Nalle Cobra Z car as the one for their home page. It is one of the studio photos taken with the reflection of the car in the water on the ground. Very cool.
  5. Glad to help convert you Pete. I know you will be happy with a V8 in your next Z car project. Come on over to the dark side, it is so nice here.
  6. You said it Clive. The road trip is GREAT! I love driving my Z car. These cars were built to drive not sit in a garage or on a trailer. I thought it was great that Anna (one owner series one 240Z) took her beautiful car on the track and drove it. If you own a Z car, get out there and drive it! See you all in Ohio next year.
  7. Clive, It was great hanging out with you at the Z convention. The people I have met throught HybridZ are the best. I can't wait for the Zvention next year. If you plan to be down this way, let me know so we can get together for a cruise.
  8. I had a great time and enjoyed meeting lots of new people and seeing some old friends too. I am sad that it is over so fast. I can't wait for the next one in Ohio.
  9. Yes. Thanks to everyone that put this convention together. I had a great time. I can't wait for the next one.
  10. Yasin, Thanks! The blue one is actually in the best condition of the two. I recently purchased the Orange one. It belonged to Pete Brock. See the story here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=124210 510's hold a special place in my heart too.
  11. I have to agree. I have never seen a Corvette in decent condition go for so cheap. I wouldn't waste my time. Stick with the Z cars or sell them and save up your money for a decent car. Don't wipe out the bank account. Whatever you buy will require some money beyond the purchase price.
  12. Bryan probably has that much invested into his and he did most of the work himself. I would love to drive a car like Steve's. I used to have a 510 with an Olds 215 V8 but I sold it. It made about 180 RWHP. I know what 340 RWHP feels like in a Z but not a 510. Here are my 510s: Orange is a 72. Original Paint - L20B Engine with Dogleg 5 speed. Blue is a 70. Automatic and all stock except for the wheels and the radio. Both are nice cars but not the same caliber as Bryan's or Steve's. Maybe someday.
  13. Wow. That looks great. Lots of room in there and it sits nice and low. Good Work. Keep us posted.
  14. Ok. Cool. Glad to know the final number. I think that was a fair price for Steve's car. IMHO Steve's car was a much better 510 then Bryans. Not a work of art like Bryans but a more useable car. The craftsmanship on Steve's looked top notch too.
  15. Actually, Steve Neumans 510 brought $33,500 on eBay last year so this car will have to pass that to be the most expensive 510 ever sold on eBay. Bryan's car is a work of art but not very good for a street car. No side windows, wipers, passenger seat, etc. It is a show car that will probably just sit in a collectors garage. Bryan has only put 10 miles on the car since completed. If I had the money, it would be my track day car.
  16. Nice job on the header. It looks great. How low does it sit under the car? How is the ground clearance?
  17. Sorry but I am driving my Z down so I can't carry a hood.
  18. Sorry but I am riving my Z down so I can't carry a hood.
  19. Well it seems that there is a mandatory drivers meeting from 7-9pm on Tuesday at the Hilton. All registered drivers for the track day must attend. I don't know how this will affect our gathering. Also tech inspection for the track day is being held at the DIS (Daytona Int'l Speedway) from 1:00 PM until 5:30 PM Tuesday afternoon. With the car show going on and then Tech inspection, there probably isn't much time Tuesday evening. Anyone else have any suggestions as to hwne and how to do a HybridZ get Together?
  20. Glad to hear it is running well. Hope you make it. See you soon.
  21. I have done 4 track days in my LS1 240Z. It really handles about the same as it did with the 6 cylinder. The one major difference is MORE POWER. oh yeah and throttle steer is nice too. See you there.
  22. OK. I started a new thread about the HybridZ get together at the Z Convention. See it here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=808015#post808015 Thanks for offering to host this Rags.
  23. Hey guys and gals, Since we are all members of this great site "HybridZ" some of us thought it would be good to have a get together while at the Z Convention. Rags has kindly offered to host it at the Time Share he will be staying in (right next to the Convention Location) so if you want to put a face to the name and meet some of the other HybridZ members, this will be a great chance to do it. I have checked the Agenda and Tuesday Evening is a free evening. It is after the Car Show. Only downfall is that the Track day is the next day so some of use may not stay out too late. Please let us know if you plan to attend. Reply to this thread. If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas, let us know. See you all at the Zvention.
  24. I guess i can coordinate this. I will start a new thread. We need to figure out when and where would be the best times to hook up. I would never leave a fellow Z owner stranded. If somthing happens, you can ride with me. I hear you. Glad I was only 10 miles from Mike's house when you and Glen rescued me. I have an extra belt for the trip. And tools too.
