  1. I paid $1900 shipped for my rb25 motorset.....engine, tranny, ecu, igniter, but with a cut harness which I could care less about. Seems like a good deal, but I haven't yet cranked the motor so who knows. SHould find out in a week or so. JT

Nah, just test fitted some 350z wheels for a friend.
  3. I am using these mounts on my car. In case anyone is interested, I am having a driveshaft made from a local shop to fit the setup with these mounts with the rb25 5 spd tranny. The shaft will be made of steel (I'm sure they would do aluminum for a little more), is 22.75" long from the center of the front joint to the base of the rear end flange, and uses the spicer 1310 u-joints. I should have mine Wednesday. If anyone wants to know how mine turns out or is interested in purchasing one let me know. They are supposed to be saving the part #'s and dimensions in case someone else wants one. Oh yeah, price will be around $300 with shipping. JT
  4. Here are a couple of newer pics. Oh yeah, and one of my old truck that now has the single turbod 1jz since I never sent you a pic.
  5. Awesome. Looks like more room to do a header for twins than there was to do the single on mine. JT
  6. The last dash I shipped I wrapped in the large bubble wrap, taped it and then wrapped it nice and tight in cardboard and taped the crap out of it. You can cut the carboard here and there so that it lays flat all over and just use lots of tape. Worked good for me. I also did a t5 transmission like this and UPS shipped it, no problem. Hope this helps. JT
  7. I have 3 pans and 6 pickups for sale. If you need one give me an email at jtbaldwin@hotmail.com and we can work something out. Thanks, JT
  8. Joel, Clutch came off my L28 setup. It's a 6 puck clutch called a Pro-Grip. I got it from TEP. Haven't got a driveshaft yet. I'll let you know what I get. If we are using the same mounts and everything mabe we could get 2 at once and save a few bucks. Rear end is a 3.70 LSD. Have you got any places in mind to get your driveshaft from yet? JT P.S. If you get a chance you oughta stop by Mobile on the way to or from James. I live about 10 mins off I-65.
  9. Well, it's about time you got finished with my car. I was starting to think you were going to keep it. Hehe. Looks nice. I will get the hunk out of your sight this weekend. JT
  10. I know Ivan personally and can wholly attest to his integrity as well. I'm not sure exactly how getting the wrong parts happened but I know Ivan very well and know that he would not knowingly screw anyone over, especially someone on here. His car was built and torn apart in my shop. I rode in the car on more than a couple of occasions. I know the stuts that came out of his car were used for a very short time and were indeed in a 240z......73 I believe. Have you tried to put these struts on your car and them not fit or are you going by the part number? Maybe there is a small difference in the struts but will work on both cars. I dunno. Has to be some explanation for it. I know when I went to buy rear shackles for my lightning the local shop sold me a set for a chevy and said they would work. Sure enough.....and the chevy ones were cheaper. Anyway, just wanted to add my .02. JT
  11. Mike, I would recomment retorquing the headbolts before you go and do a bunch of possibly unnecesary work. From what I understand, these motors will leak a little around the head like yours sometimes and retorquing the head alot of times will fix it. BTW, I ran 20psi for a while with stock headbolts but with a metal headgasket. Never had a problem from the stock bolts. Good luck, JT
  12. Probably stays running b/c there is pressure in the tank. Pull the gas cap off and see if it does the same thing. Pull a fuel line off on a hot day and see what it does. After a little while the pressure in the tank builds up and pushes the fuel through the lines. Probably enough flowing to keep it running for a while but not enough to feed the motor when you rev. This has nothing to do with your problem with the car not restarting but may answer your question as to why it still runs with the fuel pump unhooked. JT
  13. I could be wrong but from what I have seen that looks like the z31 RB20. Distributor definatley looks out of place. Looks like it was somehow added in place of the CAS. As far as I know the RB's never came with a distributor and I surely can't see NIssan putting one hanging off the front of the motor like that right next to the radiator. I could be wrong though. Nice find regardless. JT
  14. There are a few more of us along the gulf coast. Couldn't tell you what it was like though as I slept right through it. LOL. Went to sleep at 11 right before it got bad and woke up at 5 to see the damage (several trees, one of which landed on one of my 240z parts cars, and a storage building almost pushed over). Us in Mobile got very lucky, the huricane turned slightly right before it hit us, everything east of us got it pretty bad from what I understand. JT
  15. Yes, the steering is going to have to be redone a little. It is a little notchy at the moment b/c of the sharp angle. It is done this way to get out of the way of the turbo. GOing to have to mess with it a bit and figure something out to get a better angle on it. If I keep the car, custom headers would be in it's future anyway so this wouldn't be an issue after moving the turbo up front. JT
  16. 510 wagon setup for a vg30et to drop in. Hopefully, everthing hard has already been done. Notice the 240z R&P rather than the stock steering box. Has firewall cut and moved back and the vg mounts. Have a tranny crossmember and a custom driveshaft. All I need to get ahold of is a motor and some of the electronics. If I ever get it done I want to paint it to match the z. JT
  17. Ivo, you should brush up on your American slang. LOL. Rad means cool, awesome, etc. Looks great by the way. I sure love your filter/regulator setup. I wish you would have looked at my transmission tunnel before you hacked your all up. lol JT
  18. Out of the motors you listed I would definately have to say the RB26 is going to be the best bet for ease of install, reliability, and power. If you are looking for more bang for the buck though and don't want to make 1000 hp, the rb25 is probably going to be the better choice. This is what I am going with...should have it in the car within the next 2 weeks....just waiting on a z31 rb20 pickup. I got a motor set for $1950 shipped to me. Going with a standalone, custom header, and intake manifold so I am selling everything off I don't need from it right now on ebay. Should have less than $1500 in it for what I needed which is the long block and transmission. If you have the resources to build a custom header, the vg30dett would make a nice swap for sure. Mounting it shouldn't be too hard if you put a single turbo up front rather than the stock twins. Can be had for a very decent price nowadays and will make an assload of reliable power as well. I was looking into this swap before I found the deal on the RB. JT
  19. I have a Rb25 pan as well as a rear sump Rb20 pan. Email me if you are interested in either of these. JT
