  1. I would not recommend doing business on any level with SFP. The header I bought from them was garbage from the get go and they never would make it right. Ended up getting a $1000 store credit after going round and round with frank a few times and him refusing to give me a refund on it. They are such a hassle to deal with that I still haven't redeemed all of my credit. Sorry for the rant. JT
  2. Very nice man. I too would like to see some race gas numbers. Bet it screams. JT
  3. 240Z_Master: Pete is talking about getting the tranny and shaft and if he does then he will get dibs. If not and they get split up, Joel has dibs on the tranny if he decides he wants it and I think you were the first to ask about the shaft......pretty sure. JT
  4. I am pretty sure the rb slave is unique. I went to an auto parts store and pulled out several different ones and none would fit. There was talk about some honda slave maybe fitting with some work but nothing for sure. I had one come on my tranny when I bought and have been using it. JT
  5. Awesome. Glad to see it's on the road. You beat my first outing by 8/10 and 2 mph. How does it cruise with that kind of stall? I am going to start installing my th350 with ~4500 stall this week. Kinda concerned with how it's going to cruise on the highway with that big of a converter. JT
  6. Mike, Just a suggestion. If I were you I would go ahead and put in a stock motor and get the car running/driving, then start planning an engine build. Sometimes it's just best to keep it simple starting out with something like this. Besides, a stock motor will make plenty of power to keep you happy for a while. Mine is just the rb25 but still stock and makes almost 500 rwhp on pump gas. The same mods on a rb26 would make even more. Also, (keeping it simple here) I would (did) personally go with one large turbo. Twins look cool but just complicates things IMO. Just my 2 cents, for whatever it's worth. JT
  7. If you read closely all the acution is for is 6 of the "dump pipes".......basically the piece that replaces the o2 elbow. JT
  8. Was planning on offering it for sale here. Would prefer to sell it with the tranny but if I can find buyers for both for sure I will split them up. JT
  9. Bastaad: open LSD.....isn't that kind of an oxymoron? JT
  10. Daaaaaamn. Holy crap that was bad. JT
  11. Ouch. Definately a tough break man. Hate to hear it. It's ashame that there are people out there sorry enough to do crap like that. JT
  12. Not a bad number at all for the limitied modifications. Nice. JT
  13. Kenny: This is the turbo I'm running: http://www.speedshopthagard.com/garrett/T4TO4R.html violacleff: The other guy actually made 586 but on race gas and ~23 psi from what I understand. Far as I know his is still holding together with the stock stuff. I think if I had it to do over again I'd do the rb26 over the 25. As much money as I've invested in the car, what's another couple grand to have a stronger, more capable motor to start with? But, can't really throw rocks at the 25 either. JT
  14. Ed: The motor itself is completely stock down to the headgasket. Look in my album for some pics of whats done to it. ZGAD: I'm curious myself. Thats why I wanted a dyno pull before and after. Can't wait till the next SEZ. V8dats: Thanks man. JT
  15. Went to the dyno today to see what kinda of numbers it would lay down before I put in the th350 tranny. Last time I went it made 422 rwhp and 330 ft lbs at 17-18 psi. Today it made 489 rwhp and 366 ft lbs at 20 psi on 93 octane. A/F was around 11.5 to 11.8. I was hoping for 500 today but 489 is close enough. Actually, uncorrected it made 499. Also found out that there needed to be a restrictor in the vacuum line going to the MAP sensor. On the SDS readout the boost level was jumping all around from 15-22 psi at full boost. I talked to Barry at SDS and he said to put a .030 welding tip inline and it should fix it. We dug up like a .035 and it fixed the problem and also picked up like 8-10hp on the next pull. All in all, I'm happy for being a pump gas pull. Should be well over 500 with some good gas and more boost. I have a video of it taken with my digital camera but it's like 14 megs. Kinda big to post seems like. JT
  16. In my 78, I used the stock tranny crossmember and mount but cut the "ears" off the transmission tunnel. My friend made new ones and welded them a little farther back on the tunnel. We also welded a flat piece of steel on to the tunnel first to weld the new ears onto. This is a pic of Joel's setup. Mine is pretty much identical to his. JT
  17. Here are a few pics of mine..... Uses the spicer 1310 joints seems like it was. JT
  18. Not sure why I didn't mention it before but I am going to be selling my rb25 transmission and driveshaft soon, as my th350 should be in the mail right about now. Want to try to sell them together first but I may end up seperating them. JT
  19. Any shop that does driveshafts should be able to get the yokes for you. I had mine made locally and all they did was count the splines. JT
  20. EA -------- "Ebayers Anonymous" The first step is admitting you have a problem. Nice deal though. JT
  21. Haven't done alot to my car in a while after getting it all together but I'm about to order all the stuff to put a th350 behind the rb25 this week hopefully. I've about had my fill of running from a roll. Ready to go after some of the big domestics around town now. I think with the auto and a little more boost it will probably hurt some feelings. Anyone need a rb25 5spd and driveshaft? JT
