  1. A guy in Australia made a hybrid dash from a Sentra and added the 240z triple bubble in the middle. It looks very cool (the car itself is awesome too). I think his screen name on classiczcars is nixzcars. -Friendly guy too.
  2. Autometer makes a dial face GPS speedo, it's @ 130 USD. I thought about using one on my boat, because at speed air bubbles screw with the pitot tube and make it read all wonky. GPS speedos are very common in the boating world. As far as HUD's go: Here's a link to exactly what you are looking for. Hmm, I just found an actual review. Turns out it only costs @ $100. I think I might be picking one up too... I know I have seen another digital speedometer from a different manufacturer already on the market, but I can't seem to find it. It may have been for motorcycle apps. BTW- Googling "GPS speedometer" gets a ton of results.
  3. So, is this a joke? Sounds like a gas motor to me, with a valve cover hack job. The poster's comments seem to indicate a hoax. Everyone seems to know of an LD Z, but none materialize... Oh well
  4. Bite your tongue! It's N.I.N.J.A. !!!
  5. This is awesome! I made one before FireFox 2.0, and then they changed the whole search engine thing. I've been lazy since. I just do a Google search and add HybridZ. Now I can be even lazier. Sweet.
  6. I suppose if the head gaskets matched up, my question was answered -duh.
  7. I think the important thing that has yet to be mentioned is the bore spacing of any of these engines. If anyone has access to tow motor manuals, or a Nissan engine "master" book with full engine specs, please chime in. You can make almost any crank work if the bore spacing and rod throws are in the right place. If they aren't ... it might as well be a Chevette crank, because it just won't do us any good.
  8. I just picked up a black one with Wats. It's my new desk decoration at work.
  9. Yeah, 4 times is excessive. C'mon, she's a girl. 3 will do.
  10. Gabe, why aren't all of your S30 items for sale on the website? Are they made on a custom order basis?
  11. Yes, how much cheddar? I can't wait to hear more on this. Side topic: Anyone need an Sti R180?
  12. Sweet! Prediction: It will be some time before anyone can order parts from Kameari's US distributor, because they will be inundated with massive numbers of email inquiries... -I hope. I also hope all the potential "tire kickers" cool it a bit, unless they really intend on buying parts. It takes time, money, and manpower to support a tech dept. I've personally seen this sink well intentioned business ventures. You can be too nice and helpful for your own good. If Kameari's move here pans out, it would encourage other niche Japanese classic vendors to bring their wares stateside. I've saved their entire catalog, it is a wealth of information. If their US site only offered a translation of the catalog, it would still be a great thing.
  13. Anything is do-able. I've been quoted $300 by a very well known Ford head shop to weld and re-machine a combustion chamber I need fixed (ring land broke off & played ping-pong in the cylinder). -But I'm over my Cosworth moment anyway... PAIR OF 850 H.P. V12 LAMBORGHINI MARINE RACE ENGINES
  14. Ohhh, BRAAPP... KGZT, that is actually an incredibly good price for a DF-anything. I'm actually glad I don't have enough liquid $ to have considered it. -Cuz I might have.
  15. Yeah, the YZ is pretty sexy. My picky gripe has always been the cutaway of the rear quarter from the wheelwell. It's about the only issue I have with the YZ flares, and I'm not sure how it could be done more elegantly. I've always thought maybe some kind of spat (molded in of course) would not leave so much of the tire hangin out there. Then you get into rear skirts mucking up the looks. That's hard to do without a full on overdone 70's bodykit look. It's tricky, and I'm most certainly not dogging on your drawing.
  16. OTM, I really like that... it's kind of like something other-worldly meets the YZ. I've often wondered about a different grille treatment of the G-nose. I can see how it's similiar to your other drawings, but kind of an evolution of your "spoon" shaped nose. Your's approaches the AM-DB grille, without ripping it off. I like the front view of the front (?), it brings your idea more to life and really gives a better view of the curves.
  17. I put the bushings in the freezer, and heated the shifter rod to get an interference fit. I pressed them in with my vice (quickly), then ran the drill press through to open the ID up to fit the shifter pin. I bought the assorted kit for @ $4. It actually was a better deal than the 2 piece kit with the Dodge ones.
  18. Mario, looks like you have the exact same ugly side trim (no offense) I just removed. Mine had big gaps from the rubber shrinking too. Gotta love the SW sun!
  19. Despite my smartass comment, that seems pretty cheap. If I had more $$$ right now, and if it wouldn't eat gas like a dual quad big block, I'd be all over it too. This is one of those swaps I'd love to see done...
  20. oh, and most are available in 4 lug, but you would need to adapt to that as well.
  21. There are several options in Mustang wheels for 10"+ wheels. The '03 Cobra, Cobra R, FR500, Saleen 5 spoke, and even the Bullitt all have wide versions available. I just wish I could find a wide version of the 10th Anniversary Cobra wheel. This does of course assume a 5 lug conversion with 300zx hubs up front and spacers in the back, or something similar.
  22. Derek, that is awesome. I'm very interested in how much this will cost you. Is it going to be remotely affordable for you? I've had some indeas for things I'd want cast, but always assumed it was out of reach for the ordinary joe. Very impressive.
  23. It won't fit. Too long.
  24. 3 words: Windows Desktop Search. Folder organization and decent file renaming helps alot too. I like the desk too...
  25. Sick puppy here: I have an 80gb, a 120 and 200 all in the same computer, full until I recently got a 500gb YS (I took out the 120...). I attempt to save every worthwhile Datsun pic or car video out there. It adds up. Quickly. Throw in numerous OS images and you's all filled up. Oh, and for anyone contemplating a new HD, go SATA. You'll never look back.
