  5. I have the lines run for a tranny cooler and i want to make sure that the out on the tranny is going to the in ports on the cooler. My question is which is in and which is out on a powerglide tranny???? top port or bottom port???
  6. Working mounting the intercooler today and finishing up teh tranny cooler and fuel system. I got the fuel tank out and its a tad small!!!!!! will be modified with a HUGE sump and fitting for a return line and vent here are some shots of the intercooler in its location.
  7. Got most of them with the car i got the motor out of. Dip drop about 500 in fittings in hose to finish everything up though.

Got some of the fuel system done tonight :> All the fuel system needs is a -10 so I can hook up the distro block to the supply line, a -8 return hose routed from the FPR to the tank and a vent line installed in the tank. Next comes intercooler piping and a couple odds and ends for hardware and ladies this thing will be almost ready to start up.

Update: oil cooler/filter relocator is plumbed Gonna take a break and let all the holes in my hands heal up before i make any more hose The oil cooler lines will be clamped to the side of the radiator for anyone wondering Next is the fuel system. Have to mount the new EFI pump/filter, mofify the tank with a return fitting and vent along with install a better sump. the -10 hose is allready run to the engine compartment all i have to do is run the return.
  11. I could literally tear the motor down to the bare block still installed in the car if i needed to. Im really happy i decided to go the route i did with getting another car.
  12. Well the radiator is plumbed now and some of the fuel system. Next is the oil cooler plumbing. Once that is done going to knock out the fuel system and tranny cooler. YEA Hopin to have it running by teh end of october ( yea right) anyways here are some more uninteresting pics :>
  13. I have one main reason why to go auto other then what's stated above. With the right converter the same car ( auto vs man) will ALWAYS be faster. It has been said that with an auto you can gain as much as a 10th per the number of shifts in the manual!!!!!!
  14. OUCH is that actually a crack or the casting. the shadow makes that look like a HUGE crack. I would think you would have seen some type of abnormal wear or failure somewhere else with something that big!!!!

Still not alot to see but from the pics above all the mounting tabs have been welded in, the motor is in it's final resting place and mounts welded up. next will be cutting steel braided line to the right length and installing fittings. Once everything is in place Its all coming back out and the engine compartment will get cleaned up and repainted. here are the pics.
  16. Well its official i sold the trailer i bought with the car today. So that makes the final deal for the car 7500 for the roller. Im knee deep in getting everything mounted and with what was left on my old car and getting this car spun up this was the better ( as in cheaper) way to go.
  17. I would highly recommend it. My buddy up here is dynoing 620 with his vg and he has broken a turbo diff input shaft with teh triplle plate clutch. So swapping to a turbo diff wont be a reliable upgrade ;<
  18. Well cool those are good numbers. I made 610 at the wheels at 25 PSI on My motor. This was on a stock motor on a ♥♥♥♥ rom tune on pump gas (japan).... looking forward to making 700Plus on race gas at the same PSI!!!! good job
  19. hmmm have you fit checked the turbo yet with that manifold???? i had the same one on an rb25 before the rb26 adn it hit the framerail pretty bad. It was a T04S.
  20. OBTW anyone know anything about these filter/tranny coolers??? are they better/same/no good compared to the standard no filter tranny coolers
  21. Well figuring out how to put the puzzle together begins :> between what i have and the stuff i ordered today should be able to get the radiator and fuel system plumbed. I'm going to pick up a horizontal band saw tomorro. it will speed the making of things ALOT!!!! hi speed ginder uses alot of wheels not to mention the near loss of several digits
  22. I have a cummings in my 2003 dodge truck. I looked at it and i swear the valve cover would be about the middle of the windshild while the oil pan scraped the ground!!!
