My sectioned s30 struts are for sale. They have z31 spindles with z31 rotors and z32 turbo calipers, azc chromoly control arms, coilovers, and New VW inserts, 500lb springs, engine member has to go with the arms as its drilled for the control arms (or you could drill yours) and the rack was also custom made for the z31 spindles. 1500.00 plus shipping for everything This is as close to the term bolt in as you can get. It bolts into mine so should bolt into yours. Picture dosnt show them but the Z32 TT front calipers go with it. my chassis has teh weld in camber plates so you would need a set of the bolt in ones to run my struts.

Ok I have the motor hard mounted. Still need to fab up the mid plate mounts. The motor is sitting as low and far back as it will go. The oil pan is the lowest thing on the car right now Just going thru summit and ordering weld bungs, fittings, and hose and just to plumb the radiator is going to cost almost 600 smackers!!!! For those of you who are shopping around right now fro fittings summit racing brand fittings are the cheapest around. The -16 fittings are almost 10 dollars cheaper a piece then the earls and Aeroquip equivalent. More pics to come once I get some of the plumbing done.

You know i was kinda thinking that> A buddy in a z32 recently did the same thing but his broke on the line and only moved about a inch :> He was able to baby it also.... dont know why i didnt think of that. Go auto!!!! the triple is way to harsh on stock drivetrain parts

The ITB should be able to be maintained. All you do is remove the balance tube, plug the air holes and drill out and tap the water holes.

Boy that sounds familiar!!!!! the result of mine was the the clutch matterial was completely ripped off one side of the clutch disc and jammed in the pressure plate. I had to drive home without taking it out of gear. rb26clutch giving up

Well actually its the outlet that was allot bigger from the motor and since I have 3 -8 pulling water out of the head in addition to the -16 out of the block I now feel this should be good. I was just a little concerned with modifying something to be smaller then stock. Thanks for the inputs.

Joel have you really railed on it yet? I was looking at the -16 fittings today and they look quite small inside dia compared to the stock outlets

I made 392 at the wheels on 91 oct with stock turbos and 15 PSI. upgrade the wheels and some slight mods to the stock turbos and they are good for 500 at the wheels.

So joel yours were -20????

Looking at replacing the in and out water lines from the motor to the radiator with AN fitting type setup. Anyone ever done this and what size would be sufficient to flow the proper amount of water?

Not looking for a swap i would like to have both. After discussing with matt my intentions he suggested that for drag racing the rear sump pan will be best since all the oil will be in the rear on launch. I was interensted in using the gtr pan for the extra strength it is supposed to add to the block.

If i can get my hands on a gtr sump and pickup I will be selling my current pan

Hey all the new chassis is going to allow the use of the gtr aluminum oil pan. Anyone got one laying around they want to get rid of?

Well spent the day cleaning off all the old brackets that I wasn’t going to need and dropped the motor in to start fabbing the mounts here's a couple of pics.

Well just going thru updating threads... Its been a while. I ended up buying a new car that is allready done. Its not perfect but will be alot cheaper in the end to finish this car then my other one i broke out of chassis jail. Here are some pics of the car with it's new front clip. I need to cut off some brackets and clean stuff up in the engine bay then it will get paint to match the car. OBTW this car only weighed 2180 with a SBC in it. i cant imagine i will add much weight with the rb setup. HMMMM 650-700 rwhp + 2300lbs max!!!!!!! Jeeeezzz i cant weight :>

i got the car for 9500 with a fully built 2 speed, and some elctronics.

Well the red Z project has pretty much come to an end. BUT The RB26 Z drag car has not. I found a really nice chassis on racingjunk.com here are some initial pics of the car first couple are of the car at teh track with a V-8. after that are pics of the car at my house during tear down. The engine compartment will basically get striped of all brackets and smoothed. Then my engine installed and all new brackets for the stuff for teh rb will be installed then the engine bay will get painted. Its gpomg tp be slow going initially but by december i hope to have teh car running. So here are some of the initial pics. the checkerboard paint will be replaced with the same red as my first car.

The reason i went this route with buying a whole new car is it will be cheaper in teh end and alot less headache starting with a "proven chassis" vs me finishing my car and going out and tuning the 4 link in. And mike Like i said before thanks alot this would not have happened if i didnt have someone i could trust take a look. i will start posting pics of the tear down ( yes there will be a tear down) its not going to be a strait drop in and go swap as much as i hoped.

Well here is a recap of the last couple weeks. I found a full chassis car on racingjunk.com It was pretty much what my car was supposed to be when it was done. So I got in touch with Mikelly who was only a few minutes away from the car. He went over and gave the car his seal of approval. A week later I as on the road to Virginia. 12 days later I'm back in Alaska with a 28 foot race car trailer and a current IHRA certified car good to 8.50. All it needs is my motor and all the electrical and fuel stuff associated with a motor swap. It had a SBC in it. Here are a couple pics of the car. I don’t have any pics yet but ill post some more when I get them.
