  1. an HKS pro tuner. I wish i had access to teh software :>:
  2. dont worry you will see the rb in a very similar car very soon :>
  3. section s30 struts. They have z31 spindles with z31 rotors and z32 turbo calipers, azc chromoly control arms, coilovers, and VW inserts 500lb springs, engine member has to go with the arms as its drilled for the control arms and the rack was also custom made for the z31 spindles. Ford 8.8, fully braced and welded, 4;56 gears with a spool, 33 spline axles, willwood brakes, all is brand new and never seen diff lube yet. This stuff will be going on the chopping block sometime in septmeber along with my shell that has a 3/4 chassis 4 link chassis. If your interested PM me for more details. This is not officially for sale just seeing if there is any interest at this time
  4. some more part numbers PM'd to me from Zdrifter
  5. You can see my old setup in my hybridz album http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=5&ppuser=7903
  6. I see nothing wrong with those mounts look like they are plenty for the job.
  7. Same here i have a set of venom 1000cc injectors that were supposed to be new and come with a flow sheet. neither was true. they were just reman denso's that were a far cry from even looking new!!! As far as changing to topfeeds it all depends on what you are shooting for. it think sidefeeds are pretty available up to about 800cc. bigger then that then you will need to go topfeed. smaller then that i know of nothing that would justify the cash to upgrade all the stuff just to use topfeed.
  8. Have you weighed out the car. My 200zr mounts with the rb26 slightly heavier then the rb25 put my car at a 51 front 49 rear. This could easily be tuned out with suspension changes. You can move the engine back maybe an inch ( for more ideal position) and the mounts put the oil pan right at the bottom of the crossmember. so lowering the engine more will make the oil pan the lowest thing in that part of the car. Not sure if that is a good idea. My 2 cents
  9. OK guys i can see this one going south quick. Keep it civil or off to the toolshed it will go.
  10. Been real busy with school selling a house and work. I have a guy coming up that lives here in alaska but is sublocated to the lower 48. He is coming up in august and the car WILL be done by the end of august and running hopefully by september. (DEJAVU) unfortunatley teh last track day here is 2nd weekend in sept Oh well It will be ready for opening day next year pics to come as i get them!!!!
  11. Larger splines = larger companion flange which = larger bearing to hold the flange. Thats what im saying. if you dont enlarge the bearing the companion flange ( piece that slips over the stub and gets bollted on ) would be extremly thing in that area. Someone needs to make an a swap kit that would utilize an r230 with strut housing that would hold the z32 or gtr bearing set and cv axles As refereneced above) . I would buy it. may cost some big bux but it would be worth the hassle of a full backhalve for a solid rearend. my 2 cents.
  12. Anything bigger will require different bearings and machinging of teh strut housing. i modded z31 stubs to fit but they broke in the same area!!!
  13. Here's my 2 cents. IF someone took all the recorded (are they) stub shaft breakage incidents and put them into a graph i think you would find that #1 95% of all breakages happen on the drag track I think this one happened at the track just needed one more shot). #2 the breakages occured in cars with 300 + rwhp. I broke many stock stubs trying to break the 11 sec barrier the best 60 foot i managaed was a 1.67 and that was with tires infated to 35 PSI and spinning all the way thru 3rd gear. the fact that this one broke after many "10 second runs and running slicks" says it all. It is much stronger then stock and a GREAT UPGRADE. THE fact is is it is still just a 27 spline stub axle. Once i compared the size of the moser 33 spline axle for a ford 8.8 compared to the 27 spline stub i saw the light.
  14. Any project will take as long as you want if you dont ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ touch it. he would do just enough to keep me off his back. i finally just had enough. I'm paying now fro a guy to come up from teh lower 48 to finish it to the point i can take over.
  15. I was thinking about something on the same lines and tiring it into the backside of the wheel tubs. Im also thinking along the same lines of basically just welding sheetmetal and just boxing in that area between the tube and framerails.
  16. Another concern i have is how the rear part of the cage is attached to the body. In the below picture the only thing added are gussets to each side of the tube. i can push on the rear 1/4 and get movement out of the body. This cant be good. should the rear part of the body be attached in more places to keep it from moving around. and anyone with pictures of examples would be great.
  17. So in this pic all that is needed is for a plate to be welded in? Im starting to calm down a bit and getting more motivated to get this thing going. I WILL BE UP AND RUNNING BY NEXT YEAR!!!! shooting to have it running by the time the snow starts flying again this year
  18. Im starting to calm down alittle. It was just the overwhelming rush of i have to get it done soon. one of my 4 link bars are threaded incorrectly and when they were assembled before i picked the car up he didnt clean out the shavings so now all the threads are dicked up. nothing a tap cant fix.
  19. Ok i have figured it out!!! one bar is threaded wrong!!! 3 bars get shorter or longer when turned in a certain direction one bar just stays the same length until either one end falls out of the other shanks out on the bar!!!! So i guess i need one bar made
  20. Hey arnt all 4 bars in a 4 link setup supposed to have rt hand threads at one end and left hand thread at the other end??????
  21. But still concerned that that will still apply in my case if not for anything else but the right way to build it. In looking at my chassis and the way its put together it looks like the bar along the rocker is actually part of teh rocker the way it is welded. There is a professional chassis guy coming back to alaska in august and he is going to look at it. If it is up to his standards he will finish it. If he finishes it it will be done by the end of august. If i do it maybe next year :<
