  1. Who did the "lightening" of the crank in the first place? If you did it yourself... absolutely. If it was a machine shop, I would think they would have done it. Either way... it's out, DO IT.
  2. MBC = FTL. Especially cheap ebay ones. What kind are you using and where did you get it? You should be able to easily install it inline w/ the hose going to the waste gate actuator. You don't cut or cap anything, just add a length of hose on the now lacking side.
  3. Shoot them an email or call them. I would think that "custom" implies that you can have them tweak things for your needs. And the green wheel is 4lug...
  4. Searchy and ye shall findy. I popped "LS1 Z31" into google.com and found TONS of info in less than one whole second. First result is a good one. Also try the search here... Looks like BlackBob was working on that setup.
  5. If you had a MAF (indeed you don't) you could use a VPC (vein pressure converter). http://www.machv.com/hksveinpresc1.html There's no sense in spending time trying to get around the stock AFM if you are still running everything else stock. Just tune your AFM.
  6. I saw them tuning the car when they first got it. Looks like a lot has been done to it since then.
  7. That doesn't really make sense. The stock ECU cannot handle larger sized fuel injectors, so you adjust the AFM to "trick" it. No.
  8. If it's just that end connection of the harness, call Nissan, or check w/ AutoZone / Checker / Napa.
  9. Yes. You will also need to adjust the AFM to keep the motor from fouling out.
  10. X2... anywho.com or whitepages.com REMEMBER... it will only show info on LAND lines, not cell phones. You can't obtain info on cell phone numbers (legally) without a court order.
  11. I google'd this for you to read: http://forums.mbworld.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-119779.html
  12. That's funny... wouldn't YOUR post actually be late? Slow 24 hour reaction time.
  13. Where there's grounds and wires. There's no specifics... wiring problems can be anywhere there's wires.
  14. Wow.... All I have to say is: IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. clsatt: do want to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars, and hundreds upon hundreds of hours to make this work??? And all the while you could have spent that money and time more wisely. If that's what you want, get to work.
  15. He said it was "derived... not deprived" from FORD... not HONDA: And yes, FORD was involved with Jeep. Checky: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep (0h snapz!!!) Oh... and is the Honda F1 racecar junk too?
  16. Hum.......... I think a "told you so" should be coming your way. The ability to search and find answers on your own can be a real benefit in life, not just on a forum.
  17. My company headquarters is in Corpus Christi. They shut down today & made everyone put all computers & filing cabinets on the desks in case of flooding. Stay safe Texans!
  18. Searching doesn't have to be limited to Z forums. http://www.google.com is a useful tool too. I just typed in "SBC transmissions" and "350 manual transmissions" and got tons of results. If the motor is going to put out 500hp+ you better have a bullet proof Tremec (and a bullet proof wallet too).
  19. Replace ALL fuse-links. You may have also fried some electronics (like the ecu... which does not like reversed polarity).
  20. #1... L-series oil pumps are quite hefty. If you are experiencing "low oil pressure" check the oil (level, and cleanliness) first, then check the oil pressure sensor. The sensor is much more common to produce a faulty signal, than for an oil pump to "pump" low pressure. I had a 280zx that would bearly register oil pressure on the gauge... swapped sensors... ka-blam-o... good oil pressure. #2... Any L-series clutch assembly will work on any L-series motor. BUT... the 280zxt and all 280zx 2+2's have the larger 240mm flywheel... so... use the 240mm flywheel. #3... Any L-series tranny will bolt up to any L-series motor. NO... A Mustang / Camaro T5 will NOT bolt right up, as it is not designed for an L-series motor.
  21. Nice! VIN: 1G8ZK5271WZ207472 Thanks bro.
  22. Does anyone have (or know anyone who has) access to Carfax VIN reports right now? I need to do a VIN check. Thanks!
