we have yet to be pulled over **Crosses fingers** So why worry about the law? Best way to get around it is, keep it on the track and drive like a grandma on the streets.
like lewis just posted, the guy said that $2500 was for a swap into an s13, the guy was mistaken thinking that the same quote was for his 280z.
No matter what at $2500 including motor, you will not be making any money doing this swap into a S30.
we have the R-type watanabes and on the front we have a small 5mm spacer for that extra little bit of clearance, and on the rear we made like a 2mm plate so that you dont see the center of the stub axle and also for more clearance. With both the spacer in the front and the plates in the rear there is very very little clearance between the rim and the calipers.

We recommended that most sr20 powered S30s go with at least a 3.90 but preferred is a 4.11 as the Silvias came with a 4.08.
You should not run into any problems getting an r200 4.11 from the pick and pull.
no problems that weve encountered... Supposedly there is another turbo blanket from one of the big supra forums that you can put your hand on top of the blanket while full throttle on the dyno?
we have this turbo blanket on our sr20 powered car because the turbo sits right next to the brake master cylinder: http://phase2motorsports.stores.yahoo.net/turboblanket.html
the ka24e has a different style oil pump than the ka24de, and ka24e block with ka24de head will have higher compression since the SOHC did not have dished pistons.
no you cant use the downpipes made for S13s, you are going to have to modify it anyway so you might as well just buy some 3" pipe a 3" 3-bolt flange and make your own downpipe and full exhaust while your at it. For the metal headgasket we usually run 1.1mm Apex or 1.2mm Cometics on most cars. The 740 cc injectors will be plenty and leave you room for more later, so might as well go bigger now since it wont hurt anything if you go with a full standalone.
