  1. My aunt was having trouble adopting a daughter, she is a social worker and her partner is a successful lawyer. I'm sure part of the problem was that she is gay, another thread perhaps. Her answer was going to China and getting one of the most beautiful baby girls I'd ever seen.
  2. Love the way it sits. What is your suspension setup? Also, good to see someone who is not afraid of a little sidewall, I think it makes s30s look tough.
  3. I realize this was posted a while ago, but I might as well warn you. I painted my daily driver's hood with the white gloss early in the winter of '07. It was almost a perfect match with the factory white. Now, after seeing a lot of sun, it has taken on a little bit of a pink hue. I don't think it would be noticeable without the stock white there for reference, but it has changed.
  4. I'm reading through the basic setup manual. So far I've gone through the settings for 6 cylinder applications. Now I'm here: http://www.msextra.com/manuals/MS_Extra_Basic_Configuration_Manual.htm#heisetting I'm using the GM HEI, but it's a 4 pin. What is everyone else putting here?
  5. I just realized that I am using the default spark settings. http://album.hybridz.org/data/500/untitled9.JPG Spark output is inverted. I take it I should change this? I was using using moby's settings before I reflashed the firmware and it was good for moving the car around the driveway. Anybody have settings for 029y3 that will get me close again?
  6. Well, I had to reinstall windows on my tuning laptop, and I didn't think to backup my old msq and megatune settings. I downloaded 2.25 again and even updated my firmware to 029y3. When I got everything back in the car and tried to start it up I only get one spark, as soon as I turn the key to on. After that, it won't spark while cranking. I noticed my HEI module is getting hot pretty fast. Does anybody know what's happening here?
  7. Wow, when you said "sitting" I was not expecting a full on, feet off the ground, sit on your cowl. Crazy.

  9. In general, I agree with you Wheelman. I think it's hilarious when people sell their Camry for a Pruis. If protecting the environment is their "thing", they've failed. If saving money is their "thing", they've failed.
  10. I had a friend sell his STR-4 Neon for an 89 Accord LXi and came out on top ~10k. You don't have to buy a new car to get good gas mileage. In fact, most older econoboxes get better gas mileage than modern ones. This is, of course, because they are tin cans. However, if it's tin cans your worried about, you are on the wrong site. lol.
  11. I'm with you on this, but it doesn't mean that you have to speed. I drive the speed limit and get dirty looks all day.
  12. I get about 60 miles to the $3 on the bus. The high cost of oil will drive the search for alternative fuels, which is a good thing IMO. Last time I was in NOLA the speed limit wasn't 85mph. I'm willing to bet most of the responsibility falls on the rider in most bike accidents. Yet, it is always the cagers who need to be more diligent.
  13. The search to find out what the hell you're talking about led me to the Atlas F1 Bulletin Board which has a lot of great reading, so thanks! /Jack
  14. There is some happy medium between flow and heat transfered. Slower air through the bars will result in cooler air. However, slower air would mean less flow. I think that an equation could be derived to show the equilibrium (perfect size), but in order to be effective it would have to consider the entire range of flow (inside and out).
  15. I've been reading on the ecomodder forum that was linked here a few weeks ago and they have tons of members using block heaters and reporting fuel mileage gains.
  16. I've noticed that most OEM's and even some of the aftermarket are selling plastic manifolds as a finished product. It seems plastic would be lighter and allow for more complex designs. I haven't looked at production costs, but I would imagine they are comparable.
  17. I remember shortly after 1 fast z's post about that LD intake prices shot up on Ebay to around $200! Your work looks excellent.
