  1. John, I thought there was paint under all that dirt. Maybe if I was able to get close to you on the track I would have known for sure. Car looks great. Have fun at the show. Mark
  2. Yea, went to buy a truck and came home with a Caddy. Not a real smart move to buy on emotion but I do love the car. Now if only they offered a towing package
  3. Thanks for the offer but I have two great kids and I'm to old to have another
  4. Not the best pic, and not the best angle of the car but never the less here it is. I'm sure this car will not touch the V-10 m-5 but it is every bit the car of the current gen m-5. That was my second choice. Wheel hop is an issue and there is already an aftermarket fix for that but I won't be taking the car to the strip so I should be OK. I am concerned about stories of the rear diff failing but I think those are related to the wheel hop issue. Mark
  5. you aere right. I'll post pics this weekend. Can't post a pic of a dirty car
  6. A factory hybrid and none of this electirc and gas stuff either. Just bought a cadillac CTS V. Comes with the ls6 and t-56 tranny. 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and 14 inch rotors with brembo calipers. I can't believe I bought a cadillac but this car is incredible. For the specs go to http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_0306_f_ctsv/ Now if I can just pry the keys from my wife
  7. That is the reworked harness. Mine looks just like that. I got it back a while ago and it looks top notch. Mark
  8. Terry, It will bolt right up. I replace the 700 r-4 with the T-56 and had to notch the crossmember for some reason. Forget now but it was no big deal. Mark
  9. I had a similar problem when I put my sparco's in the car. I could not get any kind of wrench, allen wrench or my fingers to the rear bolts. I finally ended up taking the bottom seat cushion off of the seat and then replacing it after the seats were in the car. Really an easy job because of how the seats were made. Look hard at how the seats are put together if you decide to try this. It would suck to ruin a seat before you even sat in it. mark
  10. I've got the JTR trans mount in my lt-1 t-56 Z and it has held up well. Almost 10 years now with many many track days and no issues with the trans mount or any other JTR part for that matter. Good stuff. I just got another jrt mount to use on my ls1 car now being built. Mark
  11. Looks great. You will be able to run the last drop of fuel out of the cell with that set up and no more sputtering inthe turns. Mark
  12. I got mine back a couple of weeks ago, looked very nice. Wish I had thought of the wide band O2 deal. Now If summit would deliver my fuel cell and the guy doing my radiator would finish it up and I need a fuel pump and some fuel line and..... so it goes. Mark
  13. John, Did you have more problems with crankcase pressure at Kershaw?
  14. Glen, Glad to hear I was able to help you. Makes me feel better knowing what I'm working on will work. I'm using the Sub rack because it is very close in size and mounting points as the stock rack. I'm old and need PS and it is very quick when compared to the stock rack. Mark
  15. Dot, I used the same tie rods as you and would have to say I would have a machine shop drill and tap the rack if I had it to do over again. Hard metal!! but it turned out OK. I did some checking of my factory service manual and it calls for DEXRON yes DEXRON (that is how it is spelled in the manual) III fluid. Hope that helps but sounds like you have it figured out. Thanks for the info. Mark
  16. My bar mounts in front of the diff, sorry no pics. Car is a 73 and the bar is from top end performance I believe.
  17. I'm a democrat and I thought it was funny. Still laughing
  18. Thanks for the info. That puts me one step closer!
  19. I have a 73 with R230. I use a 78 inch bar that mounts to the stock points and I have adjustable endlinks on the bar that help with clearance but the stock stuff will work with my set up. It all clears the CV's by about a half inch. hope that helps. Mark
  20. Did you get take off clearance before your flight?
  21. Thank you!!! You would think that the FSM would have that diagram. Again Many Thanks. One more question, did you use the stock datsun steering shaft and datsun connector to the attach it to the rack? Mark
  22. I'm still a long ways off but I do have the rack on the car. I wonder if you could post a pic or diagram of the line routing for the rack. I have the WRX maunal on my PC but The line routing is kind of vague in the manual. Did you do anything to limit the travel of the rack? Looks like the wheels will turn in to my inner fender wells without some kind of travel limit. Thanks, Mark
