  1. Tell her if she means it, she has to get some counseling first. Not some new age crap but some real faith based (read christian) counseling and that after she has gone for a while, offer to go with her to a few sessions. If she is serious about you, she will do this and it will be great for both of you. If she balks, you walk. I speak from experience. Age does have a few advantages. Mark
  2. Do Not buy a car sight unseen! Even the best pics can not substitute crawling around under the car. Buy a nicer car to start with. Drive it enjoy it get to know it. Then maybe start to mod it. Keep looking, tou will find the right car. Keep saving and maybe you will ahve to spend a little more than you want but if you get the right car it will be worth it. Also, don't be afraid to walk away from whaat seems like a deal if it is not what you want. I've been there, Mark PS, those welds are not stock but that is about all I can tell form those pics.
  3. Engine mount was reinforced with .25 inch plate mounting points need to be changed slightly for the rack to fit tightly. I'm sure you could just bolt in it is but it would not be stable. I know of no bolt in swap.
  4. Is the starter good? Are you getting power to the starter? Have you tried to by pass the starter solenoid? Does the pump cycle on when the key is in the on postion?
  5. Go here for a few pics http://hybridz.org/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=8092
  6. I would remove all the holders for the wiring on the frame rail. I ended up runing my harness differently and did not use these. I would leave the brake line mounting points and reuse to hold the brake lines and maybe the fuel lines. Just depends on how you route the fuel lines. Also remove the stock pivot mount for the throttle linkage. JMHO Mark
  7. I've got a set of fronts and rears. They are VERY nice. Can't wait to get them on the track.
  8. I've got Johns stuff, nice kit for the 280 but the tranny cross member will not work on a 240. I don't know about a 260. Mark
  9. Hey, I've heard that I can put a chevy 350 in my Z is that true and has anyone ever done that here?
  10. Guy, I don't remember. I do remember asking the teck what size to get and he was very helpful. I believe I used a -6 on the supply side. Remember the tube that fits inside the nut is waht has to fit the line. Mark
  11. You do not flair. Just put the pieces together and tighten. Nice and cheap. If your still not sure just ask a tech. He should know. Just be sure to get both the nut and the sleeve

  15. Jegs and summit sell hard line adaptors. they use a compression type of fitting on the hard line and give you an theads to attach the braided line to. I cut the "bump" off the lt-1 fuel rail and used these. Has worked well with no leaks for over 5 years. Mark http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=3982&prmenbr=361
  16. 142 at VIR and the car would do more. Just one time, front end really dancing. I hold it to about 135 now. Rear gear is 3:54 in 5th gear, trans is 1997 t-56 from an F body car. Rear tires are 245-40-17. Mark
  17. Even Pat Robertson was astounded by Bush's arrogance toward this war. For those who don't know Pat Robertson, just do a google search. He basically represents the conservative Christain vote. Robertson wqrned Bush that he should level with the public on the possiblity that this war could go badly. Here is the story. Yes, I know it's CNN but anyway http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/10/19/robertson.bush.iraq/
  18. Me: Honey I'm going to Vegas for the weekend. I've got a few hookers lined up. should be fun. Her: I've jsut sent you Z to the crusher, have fun. Just because it is legal does not mean it is right. Dan, great post. Mark
  19. Got my ls1 and t56 form him. Great service. Parts arrived in very good condition and well packed. I would buy again from him. Mark
  20. I've got one in my truck. Lots of torque, red lines at 3200 rpm. I saw and engine and tranny on the back of a flat bed, I was supprised that thing fit in my truck. It was huge!!. It would really be a different swap. I would reccomend that you measure before you buy. That allison tranny is really big. If a viper engine and tranny will fit why not a durmax. What will you be using the car for? Do you have a huge budget? You wil need lots of cash to buy new rear tires. Mark
  21. 93 lt-1 heads and cam package, 315-320 at the wheels on a chassis dyno, don't remember the brand. Mark
