Great looking wheels. Awesome brakes, what set up is that? Is that Arizona Z control arms on the rear? Where did you get those CNC control arm mounts and would it be possible to make a few more? Thanks, Mark
For a street car I have always heard that the iron drums are better. They last longer and dont' flex like the aluminum ones will under hard braking. No personal experience here just passing along what I have heard over the years. Mark
I'm using the R-230, from a Q 45, yes for sure it is an r-230. I have had it apart and compared it to the R-200 that came out of the car and the ring and pinion dwarf the r-200 ring and pinion.
It does not matter where on the shock piston the bump stop is. It will keep the strut from bottoming out as long as it is inbetween the top isolater and the strut housing.

Try this guy, Charlie. I don't think he make the parts but if they are out there he will know. Great guy to deal with, highly recommend him.

Mike, Thanks for the confirmation. I decided to use John's mounts and hack up the drivers side mount. Should work out OK. Not having to remove as much material as I thought and I'll replace the removed parts with different shaped steel to restore structure and allow the steering colum to fit. Mark
Sure this will work. I have several running around my town now. I liked the part about getting you pistons and cylinders ceramic coated ASAP. Sure no problem. One born every day or was it hour or minute. Seems like one per second around my neck of the woods. Mark
I have the engine in the car and test fit the alternator. Alt. has a black plastic cover on the back that interfers with the datsun engine mount tower. Any one else had this problem? Anyone know the answer? I can trim the cover but have not seen this mentioned before and I searched.
Thanks, Mark
Dale,
I taked to speartech last week. You covered more than I thought to ask. I would call them and read you letter and see if they can offer any input. I'll be sending my harness to them soon. They were very helpful on the phone for what it's worth. Mark
After 30 years or so these cars just aren't square any more. If you have adjustable suspension on the car I would bet you will be fine. Did the car drive OK before? Had you had the car aligned before, was it OK?
I've got the 210 and it is a breeze to use. 210 does not have digital controls. I've used the spool gun for aluminum with argon gas. Not as nice as tig but I can grind it smooth and it looks OK. Smooth wire feed on both the spool gun and wire feed unit. It never gets hot and shuts down. Best of all it makes me look like I can weld. Mark
