  1. Replace the blue oval with a bow-tie and problem solved! Just kidding, it sounds like a tooth off on the dizzy gear and/or really out of wack timing. Good luck.
  2. It sounds like a great project, so how many ongoing projects does that make for you? They must be in the double digits by now. Make sure to install the gas pedal linkage from the Pinks car so you can beat you friend. I wonder if your friend will have his Z painted before yours? Just kidding! Any progress on the Monte? Good luck Doc. Jason
  3. I wish you guys the best of luck! Bring the victory home! You can do it! Also, tell Rich he is such a tool.
  4. The tank looks great! Your Z is going to be awesome when done. By the way, did you ever sell that other Z #248?
  5. Someone has serious issues......... what were they thinking when they disgraced that poor Z car?
  6. Mull where are you??? We need video updates??? Please help the video needy......
  7. Just find someone with a big boat that needs an anchor! LOL! j/k
  8. What were you doing in the bathroom with the wheel? We know, just combing your hair......LOL!! Anyway, the wheels look awesome.
  9. I can only say, to each his own.
  10. Hanns, I remember in the past you posting that if you had to do it over again, you would go with a single turbo. Maybe being turboless now is a sign. You don't want to change your exhaust setup because of cost. I would bet there would be a few members here that would love to buy your current exhaust/manifold setup. The sale would help to fund the new single setup. Your current setup would probably work in other applications as well, such as your friends Vega, hmmmmmm. Anyway, good luck!
  11. Hanns, Sorry to hear you are turboless. Are you ready to sell me the Z now? Just kidding, I probably could not afford it anyway. Good luck on finding some replacements. Check out ebay if you have not done so already. Jason
  12. Check out this link, it shows some efi ideas, good info. http://www.lt1swap.com
  13. Well, I have some basic bodywork/electrical experience. Also a good bit of mechanical experience. I am located in Arvada, Co. Maybe we can set up a date/time. I am available most days after 2:30 p.m. the more notice time wise the better. This coming weekend I could spare some time. Not too early though. I am not an early morning person. Let me know. Jason
  14. My goodness that is awesome. You have hit the motherload my friend. Plus if the wife gets "cranky", you have a nice place to go. I would almost trade my wife and kids for a garage/barn/apt. like that. J/K
  15. Uh, I have a nice straw that shoots .22 caliber spitballs............
  16. Guys, I thank you for the nice thoughts.
  17. I saw one of those new special edition Mustangs driving by the Ford dealer today. It was a very nice metallic burgandy looking color. This is the stang that has the supercharged 427 grapics. Anyway, this paint with your CF bumpers and flares would be HOT!!
  18. Guys, I am posting this only to express my feelings. I am sure a few of you have been through this. I got a call about 7:15 this morning (the 16th). My Grandpa who has been in a nursing home since December '03. I was there at 7:50 or so. Wayland, my G.P. has had numerous health issues including dementia, parkinson's, kidney failure, hypertension, prostate cancer, and recently a bad case of pneaumonia. Well all of us have been preparing for the inevitable for quite a while. He struggled all day to breathe and finally passed about 5:30 pm. I have been to a few funerals for loved ones, but it really sucks to sit and watch someone die. I post this to remind all of us to not take family for granted. You get up in the morning to go to work or? Kiss the wife, kids, etc. Garth Brooks made a good song, If tomorrow never comes, listen to it. Keep the faith guys, and remind your loved ones how much you love them. R.I.P. Grandpa Wayland
  19. Good for you, I am glad to hear things are working out for you. Good luck!
  20. CONGRATS!!! Man, I know the feeling. I remember when I asked my wife, at our baby shower for our first son, you could have heard a pin drop when I got down on my knee, followed by ya-hoo, clapping, tears of happiness, etc., etc. If she understands the Z, then she is a keeper. Good luck.
  21. I have nothing against big people, but DAMN!!! That poor little scooter.
  22. Actually there are more after market parts available for the big cad these days. http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/aluminum_cylinder_heads_non_chevy_big_block_engines/cadillac_big_block_heads.html http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/116_0609_engine_combos/index3.html http://www.caddyinfo.com http://www.500cid.com. http://www.bulldogperformance.net I think the point of this thread is the caddy 500 can be had very cheaply. It is also very different from the been there, done that, SBC swap. Although there is nothing wrong with an SBC Z. Sure one could build a BBC Z, but a 500 Cad, would be daring to be different, which is the whole idea of building a hybrid Z in the first place.
